Space, it is the final frontier that all races strive to reach and hold within their grasp, to expand their influence and grip on the galaxy's vast expanse to gain the answer to questions long since asked by each primitive race "Are we truly alone in the Universe?". As each species establishes their hold over a small piece of the massive pie that is the Galaxy, their answer eventually reveals itself through a number of scenarios that were long since thought hypothetical that they are not alone in the Universe. The Galaxy is teeming with life that you can unite under your rule diplomatically, or in a militaristic fashion akin to a hostile business takeover. However, as you leave your mark in the Galaxy, there is a very likely chance that you shall stumble upon nations of either equal or overwhelming power. How you respond to these foreign powers is up to you, but know that as the sun begins to set upon the Galaxy, the stars shall shine upon the Galaxy, it's majestic twilight shall replace the rays of the once mighty sun.

Welcome wayward traveler to the Twilight of the Galaxy, a Space Age and Future Tech RP that is a pure sandbox-type Rp where the individual player can forge their own story and make their own desires a reality in the vast expanse that is Intergalactic Space. In this adventure into obtaining an understanding of the stars that surround us, you have the ability to start off as one of the many Intergalactic Factions that have either made their mark in and around the regions that surround them, or even being a relatively fresh, young Empire that has formally established itself in the vast expanse that houses countless other species with a hidden potential, you could even play as an Early Space Age Nation that has only recently pierced the veil of their atmosphere in order to answer the long-wondered question that permeates our hearts and minds "Are we alone in the Universe?" If that isn't enough, then perhaps you would prefer to be a shadowy organization that has become either a influential or new face in the Galactic Black Market, or even play as a Smuggler or Bounty Hunter who simply desires to make a living by illicit means. Regardless of what path you choose for yourself in this Era of Prosperity, anything is possible as long as you, the player make it a reality.

The Republic of Atria and Ordei wrote:Fluid time refers to a mechanism in an RP in which time is, well, fluid. Players can be at any point in time, and will be in the same time when RPing together. This allows "flashback" posts, and for far-future posts to occur. This also means issues between players are reduced to a minimum.

Next is how research works: Research begins with a mention of the project beginning, and its name stated in an RP post. The player writes up a description of their end product, it is posted (possibly in the IC post, though it can be posted anywhere), and the administration team is made aware of it. Then, the administration team members responsible for this mechanism consult each other, and they come to an IC, and OOC time for when the research project is completed. Then, we bargain with the player to find a time that suits the roleplay,

Planetary Power
At the lowest listing of this table, a Planetary Power is essentially a nation that has most recently achieved the ability to reach into the stars. While the economical and political situation of said nation could be thriving, said nation's intergalactic military is sorely lacking in resources and manpower, while trading between other Intergalactic Powers is essentially non existent.
Due to only recently being able to reach into the heavens, a Planetary Power is both in the pinnacle of it's Atomic and Industrial Ages, and is entering the early stages of it's Pre-FTL Era, in comparison to other Technological Powers, additional time for nurturing is needed before being able to move onto the next stage of Galactic evolution.

Systemic Power
On the next stage of Galactic Evolution is a Systemic Power. While regarded as the youngest nation among its other counterparts, a Systemic Power has expanded it's reach, having established full dominance over it's home system as well as having the ability to spread out to nearby clusters. It's Economical and Political Situation is prosperous and in great health. It's Intergalactic Military has a well established presence around the home system, but is slowly expanding to cover other systems that may be within this nation's reach. Trading between Intergalactic Powers, while remaining relatively miniscule is a slowly growing industry.
Having begun to spread it's wings at the local level. The technology of nations within this category, while slowly developing is within the Intermediate stages of Intergalactic Capacity. Said nation also has access to early version of FTL Technology, which may also be less precise than other iterations.

Regional Power
Considered the gateway to Integration into the Galactic Community. A Regional Power is a nation with a consolidated hold on it's territories, usually spanning hundreds or even thousands of star systems. Having been integrated into the Intergalactic Community. A Regional Power has an established Sphere of Influence around lesser nations and even other Regional Powers, said nation's Economic and Political is at it's pinnacle, while it's Military Power is well consolidated around said Nation's territory, being able to respond to threats accordingly. When the chips are down, a Regional Power has the ability to oppose a Superpower when it is threatened, and by extent, able to wage war with a Superpower and even emerge from it in one piece.
As a Regional Power, it is safe to say that said nation has entered its Industrial/Atomic Age in terms of Technological Achievement, having accurate FTL Capabilities, and even has the capability to use other widespread tech, such as Cloning Capabilities, and mainstream ship weaponry. Regional Powers may also have the ability to construct Superweapons.

Isolationist Empire
While technically the same as a Regional Power, Isolationist Nations, while having the achievements of a Regional Power and even a Superpower, hold little influence over it's regions and virtually no Intergalactic Influence. Like a Regional/Superpower, It's Political and Economical Capabilities are at its pinnacle, while the Military is well consolidated within it's territories.

Superpower
At the top of the food chain lies the Superpower, an exponentially large nation that has existed for hundreds or even thousands of years. As a Superpower, nations hold influence over everything that happens within their quadrant of space. It's Economical, Political, and even Military Might is at it's Golden Age. Superpowers are capable of waging war against one another while surviving, and is capable of going to war with numerous Isolationst and Regional Powers at the same time.
As a Superpower, it's technological capabilities have reached it's Golden Age, having access to a vast network of tech, with it's technological capabilities growing every day.

Ancient Empire
While a Superpower is officially at the top of the food chain, there lies another level of Empire, one that goes beyond a Superpower in all known aspects, and this category is known only as an Ancient Empire. Having existed for more than Ten Thousand Years, an Ancient Empire is at the absolute apex of Galactic Evolution, having existed well before the establishment of other Empires or Superpowers. Nations within this category are usually far in between, due to the fact that only few civilizations could hold the capability to survive for such a long period of time. It's Economical, Political, and Military Capabilities are at it's golden age and apex, having adopted a large variety of tactics, and even a vast history, Ancient Empires are not to be trifled with, even Superpowers are said to tread lightly when interacting with an Ancient Empire. However, while they are extremely powerful entities, Ancient Empires are content within remaining within its borders and letting the Galaxy tend to it's own devices, meaning that they are very isolationist.
Attributed to their long history, the Technological Capabilities and Feats of an Ancient Empire are astounding, having access to a exponential nexus of tech, including the ability to create Sentient Robots, Semi-Sentient Starships, Advanced Cloning Capabilities, and even could have access to a plethora of Super Weapons within its grasp.

History Of Your Nation:
The Autonomous Republic of Selinus began as any civilization of the galaxy. From nomadic hunter-gathers to industrialized office workers. However the main problem with Selinians compared to other species is that they feel emotions much more strongly than other species. This factor has led to numerous bloody wars in Selinian history and the most violent crime rates in any society. The constant cycle and environment of violence has led to many Selinian intellectuals in the past despairing over the fate of their species. Many consigning that every "advance" in their civilization is just another step closer to self-destruction. A few people turned to religion seek redemption for their crimes and turn away from their violent nature. Some turned to cold logic to pacify their innate hatred and curb their emotions.

However this problem was solved when the Prophet System was developed 513 years ago. It is still unknown how the system was developed since the company, Prophet System, has not divulged the exact details of the system itself. But regardless this system promised to regulate all crime in their society. Within its implementation, crime rates in the Selinian Republic plummeted to an all time low. The Prophet System is a program that monitors crime by measuring a person's PHI (Physiological Health Indicator). A PHI is determined by the System itself and is given color codes and crime-likelihood index (C2). For the color codes, clear colors such as light blue or light pink indicate a healthy PHI while colors such as medium green or steel blue indicate a deteriorated PHI. A clouded color code usually occurs because of stress. A white color code indicates a person who is completely healthy while a black color code is beyond recognition. For a person's C2 there are numerous levels from 0 to 999. If someone is under 100 they are not a suspect. If someone is 100 to 299 they are classified as a latent criminal and subject to enforcement action. If someone is over 300 they are classified as a dangerous threat to society.

Because of its success, the Prophet System expanded in function to include monitoring traffic, cyber-security, and job assignment. Many Selinians were content with the new society forged by the Prophet System and accepted it as part of their lives. Others however emigrated out of the country for other reasons that cannot be explained. When the Republic expanded its territory, it soon became clear that an isolationist policy would be the best to avoid overburdening the Prophet System. After the integration of the Teosans, the Republic stopped expanded and began placing strict polices for migration and tourism into and out of the country. Foreigners who entered the country will be subject to local laws and monitored under the Prophet System. If they are classified as a latent criminal or a threat to society, enforcement action will be taken immediately.

The Armed Forces of Selinus is the most state of the army and technologically advanced military in the galaxy. With the advent of the Prophet System in our society, the way we conduct defensive and offensive missions has changed. The Prophet System's sister program, The Slave System is the advanced network that helps our military conduct operations. With our advances in computers and robotics our combat drones are much more effective than the standard soldier of the days of old. A single drone operator can operate five drones at once enabling our soldiers to be placed in less danger than before.

The Slave System has been extended to all branches of the military and is a reliable system to use. While Cyber-warfare is a major concern of our military, rest assured that our programmers and our analysts are upgrading our protection daily to ensure that no one can hack into the Slave System. Of course when we need soldiers on the battlefield who are not drones, our military is just as capable of performing the task if not better than other militaries.
