Co-OPs: Tayner
Intro
The modern world is one of chaos. With the rise of rogue nations and terrorist groups around the globe, a new form of warfare is found. This war is not fought in great battles with clear victors and losers. No, this war is fought in the hearts and minds of the people involved. Soldiers are targets still, but secondary. Bombings and shootings against civilians across the world is how groups spread their messages. This new form of warfare requires a new force to fight. This is where Task Force Phoenix comes in. Task Force Phoenix was formed sometime in the early 2000s to help combat the rising threat of terrorism. Formed from a joint Delta Force/SAS team that was nearly decimated in the early days of the War in Afghanistan, they are the best of the best. They stay out of the public spotlight, unknown to any but a small few of government officials around the globe. They hold allegiance to no one entity and have no rules of engagement. Where other groups can't or won't go, they can and will. They aren't just cold-blooded killers though. Task Force Phoenix can also take on the roll of humanitarians and heroes, evacuating civilians from warzones and freeing villages from the clutches of insurgents and murderers. They are the best of the best, and you will soon join their ranks.
How This RP is set up
Teams
You will be assigned to a 'Team' which is just a squad of soldiers. From there you are assigned to a fireteam. Each fireteam should have a specialty. Maybe one fireteam is good for combat support, while another may be good at undercover work. You will not always stay in the same squad or fireteam. You may be moved around for an operation.
Operations
Operations, or Ops as I call them, are going to be as realistic as possible. They will range from Assassinations to Inelegance Gathering to CSAR if needed. As stated above, you may work with different teams depending on the operation type. In some ops you may work with other Special Forces units, from SEALs to Spetsnaz. I will control these units to reduce confusion. Ops will be conducted at least once and In game week. To find if you are part of an op, check the IC or here for the ops and if you are involved. To make this realistic I will be using google maps and finding real world locations so you can get a good view of the situation. After every op, I will post results. Results will range from new intel leading to another mission to total busts. You will be given a good amount of intel before an op. From there you have to decide what to bring. For instance, you would not take an M249 SAW on an under cover op in China, on the other hand, you would not go empty handed. Use your brain, or have it blown out, your choice.
Combat
If you are signing up for this RP you should know what combat is like, it isn't taking on 500 ISIS soldiers with a machete. You will run out of ammo, you may be wounded or killed. Like I said, no worries, if you 'die' in combat you can make a new character* Also remember to use your head. Don't use something you do not have, like magically pulling a SMAW from your pants. That is a no-no
Rules
1. Don't be a Jerk. Really, you know what I mean. Be nice and polite. Anything I deem rude gets you a warning. 1 warning, 1 missed op. 2 warnings, character is wounded and misses anywhere from 5-10 ops depending on length. 3 warnings, and you're out, kaput, you've met your maker.
2. Keep active. I'm fine if you are gone for a day or two, we all get busy, but anything longer and I reserve the right to take control of your character. If you know in advance that you may be busy, just let me know and we can work something out.
3. No godmodding. Real surprise, right? I know we're an elite unit and all, but there is a difference between being an well-trained, dashing, and experienced operator and just being a damn superhero. No killing 50 guys armed with RPGs with a cornflake. You are not MacGyver or Chuck Norris.
4. Good posts are key. Description, character development, interactions, and grammar are all great things. If you are a new player try your best. If you are a veteran to this site, I'll expect more from you. I understand that everyone gets writer's block and may not have the greatest posts, but I don't want to see constant let-downs.
NO ONE LINERS!!!

Personal History/Bio: Born in Northern Alaska, Jack had a rough childhood. His parents had moved there a few years before Jack was born, and as such he'd never really known a normal childhood. They lived on a small homestead, barely surviving year after year. He was 'home schooled', but only barely. Instead of being taught conventional things, like Math and English, he was taught how to hunt and fish. He found himself a natural at shooting, much to his father's approval. When he was 16 a pack of wolves attacked their home. His parents were both killed and Jack only barely made it out himself. Packing his things, he headed south. He worked odd-jobs for cash on his way to Anchorage. It took him almost two years, and when he finally reached Anchorage he was just a few days older than 18. What else was a young man with no education and no official work experience to do besides join the military?
Surprising the recruiter who thought of Jack as nothing more than another dumb local, Jack passed all the tests given to him. He passed Ranger Training at the top of his class and soon went on to serve several tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Soon he was given a choice; Retire or join Delta. He chose the latter. A few years and a few dozen missions later, Jack was drafted into an international task force known only as Phoenix. A couple years with them and he found himself the leader of his own unit within.
