France Aristocratic Révolution

French Aristocratic Society

Welcome to Paris, Madame/Monsieur. I heard that you shall be discussing with the King about the new tax la-
-suddenly, the aide falls to reveals the murderer and five others-
Shame he didn't warn you of the French Revolutionary Army. Run, madame/monsieur, and warn your fellow oppressors of us. Longue vie à la France.

So, you like the idea of aristocrats fighting back against the revolutionaries? No....? Then you wasted your time. Anyway, this is an RP based apon what if the nobles, buissness people, and other aristocratic folk raised their own armies and put a bid forward like an auction. So, basically Julius Caesers death in Roman times instead in French times. Help the Revolution, or Seize the Trône Français? You decide.

Bio: (I'm more lenient, can be from 5-indefinite sentences)
Position:
Money: (This factors what you can afford in resources and how much of a target you are to the Revolution. Example: High Money is gonna get you a lot, including Revolutionary Enemy #1)
Opinion on Revolution?:

Name: Duke Jourdain Sixte Gaétan Tremble de Bretagne
Image: Image
Bio: Maison de la Bretagne has ruled over Brittany for over 150 years. Coming to power through paternal homicide, Duke Jourdain Sixte Gaétan Tremble de Bretagne has ruled with a preparation attitude. Prepared for economic downfall, economic rising, uprising, the illuminati, bad weather, Chuck Norris, and revolution. He has a foreign weapon stash, an American bank account, and someone in the American government. Now, his fears have came to life, and he's not about to GTFOE. He plans to take Versailles and Paris for himself, and rule with an absolute hand. Will he succeed, in a French Aristocratic Révolution?
Position: Duke Of Brittany
Money: Lower Upper Class.
Opinion on Revolution?: Dick got what was coming to him. But the revolution is a bit overly dramatic and murdery.

French Aristocratic Society
Name: Viscount Louis-Baptiste de Manet AKA Jacques Baudouin "Brave Jack"
Image: A sketch of him done by a lass at a coffee shop in Liverpool
Bio: Born between an otherwise unnoticed union of French and British aristocracy, he was a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Spent most of his youth studying abroad with his father, Earl Nicholas Burke, and uncle Commodore Cornelius Burke. Currently is back in France to smuggle out other Aristocrats that are benevolent.
Position: Viscount of France (former), heir apparent to the Earl of Dudley of which he takes his "official" residence.
Money: Medium upper class terms of wealth, not as grandiose as a Marquis, but still noticeable.
Opinion on Revolution?: Origionally, he thought that the Parliaments of England and France would be too civilized for those "Revolutionaries", and even if there was a revolution, it would either be suppressed outright or the fighting would only done by soldiers. How he would grow to despise Robespierre and his policies during the Reign of Terror. Constitutional Monarchist.

French Aristocratic Society
Name: Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de Lafayette (The Marquis De Lafayette)
Image: http://imgur.com/pelsaEe
Bio: Born in the Aix de Lafayette to a Grenadier, the young Gilbert Du Motier spent his early years fighting in the American Revolution, serving with distinction under Washington, who he was close enough to to name his son after. With the revolution done, the adored Lafayette departed for France with ideas of liberty in his mind. He was perhaps the most prominent example of the early revolution, aristocratic, constitutional, and high minded. He was elected to the estates general, and merged with the third estate as a second estate delegate as among the first to do so. Partly in gratitude, he was selected as commander of the national guard in Paris. He proved powerless to stop the guardsmen from participating in mob action, but he was still adored throughout their ranks. If we have reached the war with Austria, Lafayette has been assigned as a general along the Rhine, but before that he acted as the military commander of Paris, and leader of the most prominent political club of the time. leading the constitutional royalists, and personally drafting the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen. He was at his highest point at the first fete de la revolution, the Savior of the King, the most prominent leader in Paris, and administering the civic oath upon the altar to the fatherland in front of the throngs of Paris.
Position: Marquis De Lafayette, Deputy of the sitting Legislature, General on the Rhine or General of the National Guard. (Dependant on time period.)
Money: Lafayette was rich, but not insanely so. He was capable of living out his entire life without income, but he did receive grants for his exemplary service in the American Revolution, and made money from his positions in French Government.
Opinion on Revolution?: Constitutional Monarchist, in support of the Estates General and National Assembly, but also the King.

Name: Marie François Emmanuel de Crussol

Bio: The title of duke of Uzès, in the family de Crussol d'Uzès, is the premier title in the peerage of France, coming right after the princes of the blood. The title of seigneur d'Uzès is attested in a charter of 1088. After part of Languedoc was attached to royal demesne (1229), the lords' (and later dukes') military skill and fealty to the Crown propelled their rise through the nobility, until, after the treason of the last Duke of Montmorency, beheaded in 1632, the title of First Duke of France fell to Uzès, who retain their stronghold in the center of town, which has expanded round the 11th century Tour Bermond. The job of the duke of Uzès is to cry out, "Le Roi est mort. Vive le Roi!" at each state funeral, and defend the honour of the queen mother. Twenty-one dukes have been wounded or killed as hereditary Champion of France over the centuries. The current Duke participated in the Anglo-French War (1778–83), he leaded the vanguard in the the capture of Demerara and Essequibo and Montserrat. He returned to France after he was wounded during the succesful capture of The Turks and Caicos Islands.
Position: Duke of Uzès, Peer of france and lieutenant general.
Money: He is a duke and a peer of the realm.
Opinion on Revolution: A liberal, in favour of a Westminster System like in England.

French Aristocratic Society
Name: Alain Bertrand Rodrigue de Rennes
Image: http://theartblog.org/wp-content/uploaded/Prudhon1.jpg
Bio: The current house de Rennes comes from a minor noble house that was granted the county after mysterious circumstances regarding the king owing the progenitor a "favor", this combined with the fact that Alain was made the heir to the county of Rennes after two of his older brothers died, leaving him with strong ideas about fate and predestination. When the French intervened in the American revolution, Alain took part in the war in Mysore, where he served with distinction. While he was away his father died, and after the war Alain returned to take the mantle of count and began to focus on improving the situation for Breton nobles and sought to gain more privileges for the Breton Parlement.
Money: He is a landed noble, and thus has a nice amount of money, though his family have been big spenders in the past to compete with other nobles, putting a small drain on the coffers. Ultimately though, they never went out of their means, and because of this Alain was able to alleviate the troubles of his peasant tenants during the bad harvests of 1787-88, giving him popularity in his area but also draining more money. Overall his war chest is hardly impressive compared to some of the other nobles.
Opinion on Revolution?: Alain despises the centralizing aspects of the revolution. While he admires and supports calls for a parliamentary monarchy, he wants it to be tempered with more decentralization of government power to be less concentrated in Paris (a city he truly loathes) or Versailles. He also is a strong supporter of the Church, and resists revolutionary anticlericalism.
