The year is 1835 Anno Domini, Europe sits in an uneasy peace as Napoleon's resounding victory over coalition forces in Waterloo resulted in the continuation of the French Empire despite the Congress of Vienna confining French glory to a mere fraction of what it once was, the Americas are ripe with revolution following the British Empire's withdrawal from her American colonies, as new nations begin to rise across the Americas in a wave of revolutionary furor, this which can be felt even in the Mexican empire where a rebellious group of Americans, in Eastern Asia the ancient Chinese and Japanese empires attempt to protect their respective cultures from western encroachment, and the fertile and lucrative lands of Africa, the infamous dark continent lie ripe for the picking of any mighty nation who wishes to take part of it.
In this time of turmoil and change, your people look to you to lead them. Will you lead them to glory or defeat?
Rules:
1. The OP's word is final, that being me. I may appoint co-op's and their word should be respected as well, however the co-ops may not ban anyone from the RP without consulting the Op.
2. Please refrain from personal attacks on fellow RPers, as this makes the entire experience unenjoyable for everyone.
3. Keep your nations within reason, complete realism is not a requirment but some degree of it is encouraged.
4. Each player may own one great power from the beginning, as well as three additional nations. This rule may be subject to change as the RP progresses. Also, colonial possessions, former or current, or nations yet to be released do not count towards this.
5. The point of a Roleplay is to create a narrative, not to attain any kind of 'victory'.
6. In matters that involve all or a considerable amount of Rpers, it is encouraged that they seek a settlement fair to both sides.
7. OP or the Co-Op's may RP as NPC's in the event of player invasions.

We're one year away from the Texas Revolution, and I would absolutely love to play as the Republic of Texas. However, we're one year away so it technically doesn't exist yet. Should I just apply as the United Mexican States and play as both sides, or apply as the state of Coahuila y Tejas, or apply as the Republic of Texas and just play as Texians and Tejanos until the time comes? And after the revolution, would I keep Mexico or should I abandon it?

You can simply sign up as Texas and RP as the resistance until the revolution comes.

You can simply sign up as Texas and RP as the resistance until the revolution comes.
Alright. I'll RP as the assorted Texians and Tejanos of northern Coahuila y Tejas until October 2, 1835, when the revolution begins in the town of Gonzales.

How much territory does France have? The backstory says France won the Battle of Waterloo but that the coalition still confined France to a mere fraction of what it was, but apparently not having the power to depose Napoleon.
