Indeed. That was what happened with China's colonies in the 1950s in AWWA. Centralizing everything and making everything fall under the control of Beijing... Kenyans would totally like it.

Walker stumbled into Mexico OTL at one point, to try and take Sonora and Baja California. He was never especially successful, if I remember correctly. If at all possible ATL, I'm going to capture him and treat him the way the Hondurans did.

Well I kinda need the OP's acceptance for what I want to have happened in the aftermath. My suggestion would be that after winning the Waterloo campaign (a Napoleonic victory in the campaign is easier to devise then a Napoleonic victory in the battle itself as the events leading to the battle didn't go as Napoleon had planned) Napoleon managed to convince Austria to revisit the Frankfurt proposal. With Prussia and the UK defeated in the Waterloo campaign I think its possible some version of the Frankfurt proposals could have gotten accepted.

Brazil's monarchy has made it where Franz Karl is co-Emperor with his wife; making him, legally, Francisco I of Brazil. When his wife dies, should he not die before her, he will be sole ruler of Brazil until the heir to the Brazilian throne comes of age -- at which point, Franz is expected to abdicate to said son. Maximilian is not likely to reign with his birth name, and will probably adopt his grandfather's name (and rule as John VII), or follow his father and rule as Francisco II.

Brazil basically assumes that all Portuguese monarchs were monarchs of Portugal, therefore, Brazil uses Portugal's numeration therein.

Essentially the "natural frontiers" with France's borders being determined by the Pyrenees, Alps and the Rhine. Essentially this.

How about we take the the two Belgium provinces of East and West Flanders, the Dutch region of Zeelandic Flanders and the city of Antwerp and make that into a Free State of Antwerp placing it under either British or Dutch rule instead? The main opposition to a French rhine border in 1815 would have been British fears of the French getting access to the North Sea. With a Free State of Antwerp (a RL French proposal from 1830) that problem would be dealt with but France could still get a defensible border against Germany making everyone happy.

During this seventeen year period there was hardly any resistance and as the French reformed the antiquated modes of government of the states of the left bank and brought prosperity to the region.

Yes, but that was before the era of nationalism...

No it wasn't. German nationalism was in large parts sparked by French occupation of Germany, but while there where numerous problems with nationalists facing the Napoleonic puppet states on the eastern bank, but on the west bank the problems never panned out. Even when there where French people rebelling against France the Germans on the left bank didn't do anything. Besides its not like there is a German nation for the people on the left bank to join. They where never psyched about becoming Prussians in RL, in fact they often appealed to Jacobism and demanded the maintenance of the Napoleonic Code in their territory.

Besides Alsace was predominantly German at this time, and they never minded being French.

In fact I would say that Austria has far more to fear from German nationalists then France.
