Fortifications Explanation
Tower- 10k Labor - Lightest of the fortifications raised by the power of Sauron's armies and workers, this small defensive structure is little more than a barracks for a few dozen soldiers, with upper layers serving to allow sentries to survey the lands about the edifice. They may be built of stone or wood if the better material is hard to obtain, and often have other barracks built about them and a light wall of sharpened stakes to serve for their defense. Some go as far as to have a light pallisade and some small watchtowers also built about them, which generally is ungated.
Outpost - 20k Labor - A more solid claim to the land upon which they stand, Outposts are fortified complexes raised by the Great Eye to defend his lands. Built of stone for the most part, they consist of a small inner keep ringed by a barbican wall, with an outlying main wall which may have several towers built of stone or wood as well to strengthen the fortress. Gatehouses are the norm for these structures, and though their walls are not excessively thick, most stand as tall as two or three men. Their gates are of wood, shod in wrought iron.
Fortress - 100k Labor - The more common of the structures erected by the builders and masons that serve the Dark Lord, these are formidable works, meant to defend important lands and strategic points. No mere monitoring structure, these buildings have barracks for hundreds and sometimes thousands of soldiers, active smithies, stables, and ought else a field army might require. They lay many stores to last great sieges, and their keeps are many stories tall and reinforced with black iron. The towers of the inner wall are formidable redoubts in their own rights, built of cunningly worked stone and capable of laying down a deadly hail of arrow from their many carefully designed slits, and the walls about the keep are tall and thick enough for four men to march abreast along their crest. The curtain wall is shorter, to allow archers from both layers of defense to fire at any foe, and emplacements in the inner wall allow for the use of weapons of siege such as ballistae and mangonels to beat back any attacker. High crenelations and hoardings protect the defenders, and though the curtain wall is less imposing than the inner wall of such a redoubt, still it is naught to trifle with, and bears towers in its turn. Oftentimes such strongholds are surrounded in a lighter pallisade, which may be joined by a dry moat in many circumstances.

Classifications of Units:
-Axehand Royal Guard:
The most elite dwarven unit within the legions. The personal guard of Dain II and his family, hand picked by Dain himself. Armed with a large spear, usually eight feet long, is made of high quality oak wood with a Khazâd steel spearhead and butt plate. They carry a Khazâd steel waraxe or hammer, and are armored with heavy materials, such as expensive Khazâd steel armor plates. They are hardened dwarves, and will fight to the last of necessary.

-Heavy Axemen:
Heavy Axemen are dwarves armed with Dwarf-Steel long axes, which must be held with both hands. They are expert soldiers and berserkers, and are armored with heavy Dwarf-Steel Plate. They are often placed at the flanks of the phalanx. They often will chase down routed enemies or smash in the enemies flanks.

-Heavy Phalanx Spearmen:
Heavy Phalanx Spearmen are the backbone of the dwarven legions. They provide the expert experience in the phalanx formation, and are placed on the flanks of the phalanx. They are armed with heavy eight foot Ancient Steel spears, and often keep a waraxe or hammer as a sidearm.

-Phalanx Spearmen:
The majority of dwarven legions makeup. They are armed with spears and waraxes, and fight in the phalanx formation.

-Dwarven Skirmishers:
The ranged unit of the dwarves. Armed with waraxes and throwing hammers and axes. They use Skirmisher tactics, then retreat behind the phalanx.

-Dwarven Cavalry:
A rare unit. A dwarven pony force that is heavily armed and armored. If used, protects the flanks and rear of the phalanx.

Vim Maldur - Dwarven mountain stronghold/city located in a mountain in the western White Mountians. It's not pretty buy its effective.

The United Realms of the Vales and Woods of Anduin

Constitution: Elective Monarchy, Authonomic Federation, Freemen Society with feudal vassalage taints based on personal oaths of service and protection. Strong Parliamentary system.
Stablished: 2943 (Council of the Beehives)

Territory: Roughly between the Hithaeglir and the Mirkwood, south of the Grey Mountains and north of the Gladden Fields and the Narrows of the Forest, though the southern border is not effective since 2943.

Current Situation: Evident power struggle in it´s inner structure. Invasion of most of the territory south of Carrock and east of the Anduin. Threat from North, South, West and East. Population and military manpower descimated after the battle of Rhosgobel. Leader of State wounded and two of his heirs killed. Half of the productive territory is neutralized, including eastern lumber extraction, and the river trade and fishing being mostly disrupted. At least a fifth of the population was taken captive. The capital was sacked, many buildings and nearby fields were burned and half the population was either killed, wounded or captured.

Aftermath generated a great economic crisis but also a heightened national unity, the only thing that prevents a Civil Strife.

Economy: Agrarian in the banks of the Anduin. Trade with Lorien and Mirkwood through the river allows further income. Toll Booths on the Fords of the Anduin and Carrock allowed past hoarding of resources. Lumber mills in Mirkwood and some iron mines in the skirts of the Mountains provided some further income. Animal breeding and honey production is well-renowned, the first being outmatched only by the Rohirrim and perhaps Gondor among the Men, and the later being unparalleled. Hunt is a widespread activity wich suports the feeding of people, and the trade of exceeding meat, furs and vegetables,

-Framsburg: Small wooden fortress built over the angle of confluence of two medium-sized rivers rivers. Small stone walls/fences provide small additional protection in the perimeter. Surrounded by scattered farms and pastures.
