Protoman turned to Zalgo, his dark aura shifting. The barrels on his gun started to spin, and beneath the helmet his eyes glowed white with fury.

But by then, his coding would have begun to change around, all but bending Protoman to his will.

Screaming in pain, Protoman dropped to his knees, letting go of his weapons.

Protoman struggled to stand. It was eerily similar to when Protoman had died, but not completely. This time he had allies. He watched them fight the monster. Inspired, he tentatively took a couple of steps before falling again to the ground.

The Sniper stood and finally spoke up. "So are you going to keep admiring that dirt? Let's meet your friends. You can introduce me." Joe stood, and they ran off to where their friends flew to.

The green helmeted duo caught sight of the boat and began to sprint after it, yelling to anyone who would hear them.

"I don't think they're stopping." "Then we will get aboard by ourselves." The Sniper sprinted ahead of Joe and prepared to use its hands as a stepping stool. As Joe stepped into its hands, the Sniper launched Joe high into the air. It then ran ahead and lept off a rock over the railing of the ship's main deck. Both landed at the same time.

Still reeling from the pain of his data in flux, he yelled with gritted teeth, "Wrong, I am all machine. But I am also more than a machine. Do you know who created me? For what purpose I was created? Do you know why I will not be bound to your will?"

"No, I don't care, and yes you will be." Zalgo awnsered all three of his questions. "Maybe not now, but you will be soon enough. Now BOW!" He then sent more corruption into him, changing the new 2s to 3s, and the new 1s into 2s

Protoman was forced to take a step back as his body shuddered with Zalgo's corruptions. Struggling to speak, he gasped out, "I was created by Doctor Light, created to be ready, willing and prepared to fight. To be hell-bent on destroying evil."

He then spoke the words he only knew from his dreams. The words of the woman, of his creator's girlfriend. He knew not how he knew them, but he spoke them through strained teeth.

"If the shadow blocks out the sun... There. Will. Be. Light!

If the sun never shows its face again... There Will Be Light!

"Oh hey, it's Joe and.. Uh... Other Joe. Sorry about the whole... Thing... At the manor." Clay said when Joe and Sniper jumped onto the deck. He held up a potion and said "If you've got a hangover too, take one of these potions that that guy-" he gestured to the Dragonborn "made."

Jake saw Sollux and went towards him, growing back to his normal size and asking,"Hey, you escaped? Cool, now can you help me find Finn?"

Sollux replied, "I think the total douchebag who'2 torturing him took him deeper into the dungeon. We 2hould 2tay out of 2ight while we go, 2o we can 2urpri2 attack him and 2pring Finn without having to fight every elf here."

Clay shrugged and said, "Suit yourself. You like living with a bitch of a headache, go ahead. Then again if you don't have a headache then disregard that last sentence." He looked at Sniper and said, "I'm sure we'll have lots of fun here in hell. Boom, mind reading!"

Joe looked at Clay and shrugged, "So he has a sense of humor. Who knew?"

"HAHAHAHA!!!! Foolish woman, I don't eat or drink, and you are an idiot if you think you can make me suffer. I AM THE GOD OF CORRUPTION!!!!!!!!!" Zalgo yelled. He then ran up to Tia and punched her in her gut with a lot of strength.

Tia Dalma was angry. She staggered up, and yelled an incantation, and a flash of light appeared, and they disappeared. This had to work. She sacrificed herself to bring down Zalgo.
Batman, Ash, and Rose solemnly sat in silence for a while, then Batman asked, "What is your purpose here, Protoman?"

With the source of the corruptions gone, the pain stopped. Protoman collapsed to the ground. He crawled to his shield and gun. "Here, I am not sure. But we need to leave... now...." He trailed off, shutting down for defragmenting.

As Revan sulked in the corner of the ship, and jack was watching the horde follow the ship slowly, their moans echoing in the distance, Barbossa spoke up. "I'm going to assume you've been trying to get out of this hellhole like us eh? We were on course for the gates before the horde started following us, we've been running ever sense."

Tia rolled her eyes. "I can offer you advice on how to escape if you'll do a favor for me afterwards," Tia replied.

Batman got out of the Batmobile with the shut down Protoman. He placed Protoman on a table and began conducting a few tests.

Protoman's eyes opened and projected words onto the inside of the visor.

Visor blinked, and the text was replaced by a progress bar and what appeared to be an 8-bit sprite of Protoman running. The progress bar filled as quickly as it appeared and played a short jingle.

As if on command Protoman began to stir. Seeing Batman, he reached for where his weapon would be, and finding it not there, rolled off the table and confronted the man. "Where... where am I?"

Seeing Revan jump off, the green helmetted pair jumped off after him, one on either side.
