Welcome to Virtual Reality Online: The Fate of the Multiverse, an RP where you will decide the fate of us. You will play as young adults entering the Multiverse for the first time, and you will have a vital role in the events which will come next.Please read all of the things below in the OP, and have fun!

In the year 2030, Earth finally reached a new age, one of technology and discovery.

A young boy, named Dallen Thomsen had burst onto the scene of the world. Dallen had single-handily advanced the world, inventing holograms, hoverboards, flying cars with no fuel emission, along with several popular video games and a new smartphone, better than all the rest, featuring an AI, connection to video game systems and could do basically anything that one wanted. The brand, was simply known as Tom. Dallen also facilitated the reemergence of renewable energy systems, making wind turbines noiseless, popularizing hybrid cars with the Thomsen car, powered by water alone. He made solar panels more effective, and procured a way to retrieve energy from the tides cheaply and inexpensively. He was arguably one of the greatest mind the world had ever seen. Gas and oil were nonexistent, Africa was self-dependent and there were no "third-world countries." Everyone had enough to eat, and a place to eat. Child prostitution was gone, epidemics and diseases were stomped out with very little loss of life.The threat of nuclear war became apparent as tensions became hot between the West and Russia, but Dallen ended that, creating a shield that could shield entire cities, powered by a high tech shield generator. He then secretly traveled all over the world, occurred anymore.

The world was at peace, all thanks to this young man, who quickly became the richest in the world, thanks to his ingenuity and apparent charisma. He had created a company, Thomsen Tech, and the slogan was simply "For the future." He was the epitome of the Renaissance man. He was a master cellist, fencer, played soccer, and was at the top of his classes, far beyond his classmates. He managed to invent the first sonic screwdriver, being a immense fan of Doctor Who, though Thomsen Tech didn't release it for sale. That prompted BBC to hire Dallen as the 15th Doctor, who he would act as after the 14th Doctor's time was up.

Background

But his success made him proud and quite haughty at time, due to all that he had done for the world. He was quite the workaholic and he impacted all of those around him, having high expectations of them, expecting all of those in his company Thomsen Tech to be as "perfect" as he was. He tended to ramble on, not paying attention to others, making some feel hurt. And in public, his words and actions made others feel unfulfilled and drove several people who tried to follow his example to exhaustion and comas, in rare cases. Though he had his fans, many were disillusioned with the college genius. But his loyalty to his company and those close to him was unsurpassed and he had a good heart inside. At his best he was a brilliant, hopeful and optimistic genius, at his worst, a demanding, annoying and infuriating man.
But if there was one man to match Dallen Thomsen, it was Evan Rigerson.They were the Google vs Apple of their time, the lion and the tiger and the Doctor and the Master of their world. But who was which? They had gone to the same school up into college, and whatever Dallen did, Evan Rigerson was close behind, or at times, just ahead. The two had started out as friends but as they got older, it became clear that Evan was jealous of Dallen, but then again, who wouldn't be? Dallen formed Thomsen Tech, Evan, Rigerson Corporations. All that Evan did ever since out of pure green envy, at the success and opportunities Dallen had had. Evan became totally obssessed with the defeat of Thomsen Tech and its creator, forming Rigerson Corp. to attempt to wrest control and influence from Dallen. He believed that Dallen had some malicious scheme, that he had created all these things and done all this in a master plan to control the world, and it was Evan's job to stop him. Rigerson Corp soon became headed by a conspiracy theorist, who was so intent on the defeat of Thomsen and his company that he would sacrifice anything and everything, including his morals. Dallen thought of Evan as a once brilliant colleague who had now become a fruit fly buzzing around him, always close behind, hindering him and attempting to stop the world from becoming a better place. Dallen regarded Evan as annoying, Evan looked at Dallen with an obsession which had become pure hate.

December 25, 2012- Dallen Thomsen is born
December 26, 2012- Evan Rigerson is born
2025- Most of Dallen's creations take place, including the sonic screwdriver, cure to diseases, including cancer, medical nanobots and more.
2026- Thomsen Tech and Rigerson Corp are founded
2028- Dallen and Evan graduate from high school

One day, Thomsen Tech made an announcement. Their theme song, To Glory by Two Steps from Hell played out before Dallen appeared on the screen, sitting behind his desk. " Greetings. As you know, I am Dallen Thomsen, and I have some very exciting news for you today. I and my small team have created something brilliant, something that will blow your minds. We have created virtual reality. You can buy it today, for $20, at our stores anywhere in the world. However, there are limited copies, but a few lucky random people will find a card in the box which simply reads: "Congratulations, you have been chosen." They will have the chance to, and go into multiple multiverses. Have you ever wanted to travel to Middle-Earth, Narnia, Alagaesia, or the world of Percy Jackson? How about Marvel, or DC, or both of them combined, or Star Wars, or how about Redwall? Doctor Who perhaps? Perhaps you want to go to the world of Ranger's Apprentice, Tron or the world of books like Steelheart. The choice is yours. Dive into your favorite books and movies today. Even if you are not chosen, you still have the chance to go into all of your favorite fictional worlds. You can become your favorite characters, or you can invent an entirely new character and impact events. Became an Adventurer, a swashbuckler, a hero, a tank, a hunter, a thief, a warrior, a mage, a healer and more. If your favorite isn't in there currently, or you have a brilliant idea for one, please submit it, and we will most likely add it. However, there is a condition. One, only those of the ages of 15-18 will be allowed to join for now, sorry adults. But my final words are this, as is the logo for this game:

And on that day, June 15th of 2030, VRO: The Multiverse became available to the world.

This is where you come in. You, after filling out your application on your Tom laptop, were launched into Virtual Reality Online. But there was a problem. Unknown to you, and Dallen at the time, Evan had somehow managed to get into the servers of VRO and had put Dallen and his robots under siege. Wherever Dallen went, Evan went, making alliances with anyone and everything, and attacking Dallen and his small forces. Using the VRO version of our world, Evan was able to procure his weapons. Evan is now assembling an army, bred for a single purpose. To save our world from Dallen and put forth a new world order, with him in charge, the only person capable to stop Dallen, in his beliefs. Somehow, he has managed to find a way to bring virtual characters from VRO into our world. Dallen believes that Evan will destroy the world by bringing virtual characters into our world which he can't control. You must stop Dallen or Evan, or our world is doomed, depending on your point of view.You will do this by traveling with Dallen/Evan, making alliances of our own with the good factions of the Multiverse, but first, you must get to Dallen, who is currently under heavy siege by Evan's forces in an unknown world. Dallen is trapped but fortified in a mountain. You must break the siege and relieve Dallen's forces, or help Evan defeat Dallen. Good luck, the fate of the Multiverse and our world is in your hands. The choice is in your hands, who will you support? Who is the good guy, and who is the bad guy? The lines between the two sides appears blurred but you must decide, and the Multiverse will never be the same.

Character Classes:
You can think of ones of your own, or blend two classes together.

Warrior- Your basis strong-man. Wields mostly melee weapons, and focuses his/her strikes on strength. - Ex: Boromir

Swashbuckler- Your charismatic, charming dueler, who can cut a candle perfectly in half. These guys/gals wield mostly swords and are flashy, agile and have lots of tricks up their sleeve, being able to execute flips, rolls and is also very fast. Think Zorro.

Hero- The good guy. Lives only to defend the weak and save the world. May wield some magic and are pretty good in melee, though not so much ranged. Ex: Aragorn, Superman

Defender- The tank. This guy/gal is the one who will hold the line, the one who will hold the narrow bridge against all foes while his cowardly friends run. Melee only.

Hunter- The ranger, the archer. This character fires arrows or bolts with frightening speed. At their best, it appears like they are a machine gun. Ex: Legolas, Green Arrow, Robin Hood

Rogue- Those sneaky little hobbitses! These are the people who can steal the glasses right off your noise. Usually in a dark cloak, they disappear, only to appear behind you, with a dagger already in your back. Wields daggers and throwing daggers.

Mage- This is your healer. Uses a staff/hands to channel power. They are great at healing, but not so much in fighting. Keep these guys at the back.

Wizard- This is your offensive wizard,who usually wields a staff and a sword. They control one of the elements, those being; Wind, Earth, Fire, Water, Ice,and Lightning.

Engineer- Bob the Builder. This person can build pretty much anything, as long as they have the tools and materials to do so. They may also control the element of fire.

Other Notes: In making your apps remember, this is the first time they have played. You will not be all powerful.

There is a buffer time of two hours that it takes for to travel in between worlds.

A Word about Magic: Not everyone will have it. It depends on your class, and some classes may have weaker magic than others. And please do not apply to have two elements of magic, unless your control over one is much stronger or control over both is quite weak. Be reasonable, you're not going to have control over both fire and water.

Power: The stronger your power is the weaker your control over it, and the time you can use it for will be. Some, I will just reject completely unless they are limited, like time control, mind reading/control, or seeing into the future, along with reality or matter, life or death manipulation.

Character Power Limits: Your character can not be more powerful than Dallen. Your character will start out quite weak.

Personality: Dallen is a brilliant, hopeful guy with his head in the stars, perhaps the rest of his body too. Not to say he is dreamy, both he has many ideas, and his brain moves as quick as lightning. He is also a loyal, charismatic person with a kind heart, but can be proud and haughty due to his success.

Allegiance: Thomsen, obviously.

Strengths and Skills/Abilities:
Genius-Level Intellect: Dallen is seriously smart, like really, which is seen through his many inventions and ideas.
Control of VRO: In a way, Dallen has control over the game, and can make changes and edits to it to fix bugs. However, he has not found a solution to combat Evan's supposed way to bring virtual characters into the real world. However, this is not reality manipulation. Dallen can't point his sonic screwdriver or sword and make a hill, for example.
Sonic Screwdriver: Modeled after the 11th Doctor's screwdriver, Dallen's screwdriver can control the game, pick locks(unless it's a deadlock), scan life and the robots he makes, and affect technology in ways that are a bit hard to explain.
Great Swordsman: Dallen is a very good swordsman, having been a fencer in the real world, though not the best in the world. He usually focuses on quick strikes, with finesse and skill, rather than strength
Water Manipulation: Dallen can manipulate the element of water using his sonic screwdriver, which can also transform itself into a staff.
Robot Creation and Manipulation: Dallen can create little robots that do his bidding, acting as extra engineers, soldiers, healers, surveillance and any other thing he requires. He controls them with the sonic screwdriver
Engineer: Dallen can fix or make pretty much everything quite quickly, and can recognize faults in machines, which is also helped along by his own engineering skills.

Weaknesses: Dallen is proud and haughty, perhaps overly so. Also, he is vulnerable to those better than him in the sword, along with lightning and fire elemental attacks.

Biography: Dallen had a quite easy time growing up, his parents, recognizing his apparent brilliance, funded and helped him along with everything he needed. He was once great friends with Evan Rigerson, and they often played together and studied together. However, around 7th grade, Dallen began to draw away from Evan's own intellect, suddenly finding a burst of ideas in his head, which seemed unlimited. Being a soccer fan, he became Captain of the middle school team, playing as a midfielder. Also being a Doctor Who fan, he somehow invented the sonic screwdriver, of which he only made one. Seeing the problems in our world, Dallen resolved himself to tackle them, extensively studying about the problems that the world had and ways to solve them. He created a method of spraying wind turbines with a smell that was nonexistent to humans, but birds would avoid them at all times, Next, he found a way to make them soundless, and revealed the Thomsen wind turbine after a patent. It sold for millions in many countries, and Dallen used the money to create his own R&D/Tech company, called Thomsen Tech. Just after that, he released a more effective solar panel and a way to get energy from the ocean, gaining millions more.
He and Thomsen Tech went on to release the Thomsen line, an invention of various objects such as holograms, the Thomsen(hover) board, flying cars with little to no fuel emission, along with a world famous Lord of the Rings online game and several other roleplaying games based on books, movies, and the company's own invention. Then, Thomsen Tech released the Tom phone, a smart phone with an AI far beyond the competition. Dallen and Thomsen Tech suddenly had billions, their stock soaring more and more each year. Next Thomsen Tech turned to disease, finding a way to cure cancer, AIDS and HIV, malaria and many more, led at the helm, by the boy genius, Dallen Thomsen. He also finally announced and displayed the sonic screwdriver, and his soon known love for Doctor Who, along with fame and charisma made BBC hire him to play as the 15th Doctor. Then, Dallen invented perhaps his most loved invention by teens, Virtual Reality Online. He invited a few select individuals to join him after releasing it to the world, its online servers quickly becoming popular and soon upgraded by Thomsen Tech.

Water Whirlpool: Dallen can create a whirlpool of water around him and send it in any direction
Water Summon: Dallen can summon all water to him within a 100 meter radius and use it for whatever he wants.
Water Heal: While in water, Dallen does everything better and also heals.
Can't think of more, I may add some later, but most are in strengths.

Peak Limits: Dallen is pretty high in the power scale, I'll give him around a 6-7. He has much potential for growth though, despite his abilities. Physically, Dallen has slightly more stamina and speed higher than the average human, due to his training in middle and high school soccer. However, everything else is human but his tools and mind make him a powerful opponent.

Yep, it was pointed out to me that Dallen was too perfect. At first, for the old RP I wanted it that way, so I could create some jealously in the ranks, but there wasn't a proper plot, so it failed. I think and hope that this will last longer.

Biography: Keralia was born to a loving family. They were quite wealthy, so she got an excellent education. She had a normal childhood, got good grades, and always helped out. She was a perfect child. Then, her eyes changed. They became blood-red. Frederick's syndrome, they called it. Blood-red eyes is one of the 2 confirmed symptoms. The other is death before adulthood. Soon, she was confined to a hospital. At first, she felt nothing. Then, it happened. She started feeling strange pains, seeing things that weren't there, hearing voices in her head, randomly fainting. It was like living in a horror movie. She soon required 24/7 care and attention to even remain functioning. The pain got worse. The voices grew louder. She could barely stand without getting assaulted by the pain. Keralia tried to block the voices, but they only grew louder, and with the louder voices, came more pain. Sedative after sedative was administered, but the pain just wouldn't stop. But one man, a man by the name of Dallen Thomsen, had a radical solution: Virtual Reality.

He called it "the next step in medical technology" a patient's nervous system would be isolated, allowing the pain to stop. The doctors quickly worked to secure a machine for Keralia. She soon got one, and was finally relieved of most of her symptoms. Many devices were soon created for the VR machine, and Keralia was perfectly willing to try them out. She was able to look around by the means of a camera. She could talk to other people through speakers. It was perfect. Eventually, after Dallen Thomsen released his new Virtual Reality video game, Keralia was astonished that Dallen had sent her an invitation. After getting it approved by the doctors, she entered the game...

Frederick's syndrome is a recently discovered genetic disorder that interferes with the basic workings of the body. Very few cases have been reported, but all of them led to the death of the patient before they reached adulthood. The disorder also causes patients to develop unnatural blood-red eyes. Not much is known about the disorder, as it seems to have different effects on every host, but the eyes are always the same.
Current Equipment: Snowfall, a rapier Keralia channels magic through. While it can be used as a sword, it is not designed for it, and generally doesn't work well as one. Instead, it is built to channel magic. Spells cast using Snowfall receive a power increase.
Skill Moves: White Rose: Keralia channels her magic through Snowfall, making it glow a bright white. It is then released in the form of a rose, dealing a lot of damage to the surrounding enemies. This has a long cooldown, taking maybe 15 minutes to use again.
Peak Limits: Keralia is a master with ice magic, controlling it effortlessly. However, this results in her being very fragile. Keralia quite possibly has the lowest durability in the entire group. She is also quicker than the average character, but not by much.
