Imperial Population: N/A
Location/Claims:
Location- 12
Claims- Portugal and it's former colonies, Rio Grande, Caquetá Territory, Bolivia, and parts of Peru.
Capital City: Santa Cruz- Belo Horizonte

Government Info
Government Type: Constitutional Monarchy
Brief Explanation of Government:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_of_Brazil#Government This explains Brazil's government pretty good. Brazil is a constitutional monarchy, meaning it has both an emperor and a general assembly. Representatives are voted in by popular vote. The emperor has more power than the general assembly.
Ideology: Conservative liberalism, Nationalism, Defender of the Holy Cross and South America, Militant, Passive-Aggressive.
Leader/s:
Emperor Joan Braganza I, of the Brazilian Empire and all of its possessions.
Prime Minister Epitácio Pessoa

Population Info
Brief Description of your people: Brazil is a very diverse nation, however the nation is united by language, with the majority speaking Portuguese. Blacks and Whites get along, while Amerindians tend to be hidden by the Amazon. Immigrants and their cultures are welcomed to Brazil however they are expected to eventually integrate into Brazilian culture. Brazilians are highly nationalistic, and as of recent become increasingly excited in the nation's armed forces.
Religion: Secular- though mostly everyone is Roman Catholic
Ethnicity: Brazilian
Main/Accepted Culture(s): European, Mestizo, Amerindian, Afro-Brazilian
Other Cultures: Other American, Asian.

Economy/Infrastructure Info
Brief Description of your Economy: Brazil is an agricultural powerhouse, exporting large amounts of agricultural products. Though agriculture has been the largest industry for Brazil, as of recent the nation's manufacturing sector has grown quite largely and quickly. The Brazilian manufacturing sector is fed by it's resources, which too feed industries all over the industrialized world. Brazil is the second highest economy in the Americas, the largest in South America, and one of the fastest growing economies in the world. It's GDP-per capita is nearing levels similar to those of European nations, though quite far from it. The nation is experiencing a boom, and is at it's highest it is ever been in.
Main exports: Agricultural products, Manufactured goods, Resources(Mining products, Timber, etc...)
Main imports: Luxury items, machinery, manufactured goods.
Brief Description of your Infrastructure: Brazil has gone in an endeavor for the past few decades to unite the country by rail and now roads. Railways have grown to connect cities in the coast, and to some extent into the Amazon, which enables resources to be taken from underdeveloped areas to industrial centers in the coast. Paved roads exists only in major cities and the communities that surround those cities, dirt roads are far more common in the nation. Though the coast has significantly been developed, it lags in some areas, the rural areas of the nation are significantly underdeveloped.

Military Info
Army: The army of Brazil is quite modern for a South American country, it's the most technologically advanced in South America and most innovative. Though lagging compared to European militarizes, it's not too far away from them. The Brazilian Army employs modern tactics, and is experienced in mountainous terrain. The Brazilian army is experienced to some degree. 100,000 active troops and 150,000 reserves
Navy: The navy of Brazil is nation's joy. Since the moment Brazil gained independence, its leaders knew the importance of being able to defend its coasts and stopping invaders before they even landed. Brazil's navy is extensive, though most of it's ships are outdated, it continues to be a strong force, that attracts the respect of American and European navies alike.
Air Force: The smallest and the newest of the Brazilian armed forces. The air force is experienced and small, however the nation hopes to make it the best in South America.

Diplomacy Info
Brief description of your Foreign Policy: Brazil is the opposite of an isolationist country, it is quite active in the affairs of it's continent. However in the past few years, the nation has begun growing more aggressive and imperialistic in regards to it's neighbors. Brazil's foreign policy had mostly been to defend itself but now it's to improve and increase itself. The nation's leaders are friendly to Argentina and to some European nations, however it trades with everyone. Peru is disliked, the USC is distrusted/not really liked, but due to them being stronger than Brazil it keeps relations warm with them.
Protectorates/Dominions/Satellites: Paraguay, to some degree Bolivia
Alliance/Alignments: Brazil has had an ages old alliances with Britain.
Other aspects: Relations with Spain are weak, Rio Grande is not liked either

Other Info
Goals:
Annex Paraguay, Bolivia and Rio Grande
Take back claimed territories
Reach the Pacific
Perhaps gain territory in Africa
Keep the USG at bay
Modernize navy and stuff

History:
WIP
RP Sample: God no.
429 - Do not remove. This is for tracking purposes.

I'll have it finished tomorrow, I swear.

Government Info
Government Type: Unitary presidential constitutional republic
Brief Explanation of Government: I don't plan on keeping this type for long, but I'll still explain it.
Every five years the president, which is head of state and government, is elected. Said president can only be re-elected after not being in power for one full term, as to decrease the effects of a bad leader upon the nation. The president designates a prime minister, and with his advice, the Council of Ministers. Congress is unicameral with 130 members elected for a five-year term. Bills can be proposed by both the Legislative and Executive Branches, and must be approved by Congress and the President to become a law. The government is directly elected, and voting is compulsory for all citizens aged 18-70.
Ideology: Greater-Peruvian nationalism(parts of Chile, all of Ecuador and Bolivia should be Peru), Socialism (health-care, although not of great quality, food, and water are free. But taxes are higher)
Leader/s: President Olhal Gimar, Prime Minister Rimac Soto

Population Info
Brief Description of your people: A Catholic, nationalist, and mostly hard-working people, the vast majority of the people are mixed white and native Andean. Quechua and Spanish are the official languages, and the mountain-tribes still pay their taxes.
Religion: Catholic, Intist (remains of Inca religion are tolerated, but not fully)
Ethnicity: Peruvian/Andean
Main/Accepted Culture(s): Peruvian, Bolivian Ecuadorian.
Other Cultures: Brazilian, Chilean

Economy/Infrastructure Info
Brief Description of your Economy: Rather underdeveloped, at least on a global scale, but one of the leaders in production in South America. Based mostly on raw goods, but as more and more machinery is built and made, the factories are growing. Honestly I haven't much else to say on the economy.
Main exports: Copper, silver, gold, petroleum, timber, fish, iron ore, coal, phosphate, potash (not all in large amounts, but some do leave the country, namely silver, gold, and salts)
Main imports: Grain, coal, fruits, machinery
Brief Description of your Infrastructure: The Peruvian economy is still largely underdeveloped, and although they are further along the path than other South American nations, like Ecuador, Bolivia, or Columbia, places like Chile and Brazil are constant competitors for foreign trade. Railroads were slow to build because of the mountain landscape, but recently a massive government project to connect every piece of the country (inspired by the Inca roads) has been underway, and rails are being built between the largest cities and the biggest mines.

Military Info
Army: Ejército del Perú, 53000 total active troops, 12000 reserve. The quality is the highest of the Andean nations (Chile not included as they keep saying they aren't Andean, otherwise second-highest quality) and by far the largest of the Andean nations (Chile included)
Navy: Marina de Guerra del Perú, 12000 active personnel, 38 ships, 33 aircraft (reconnaissance mostly), all the nation's aircraft are in the navy, even though only two ships are capable of landing on (and even then only three aircraft could be carried at a time).
Air Force: N/A

Diplomacy Info
Brief description of your Foreign Policy: Dominated by border disputes, while they have died down somewhat in recent decades, dreams of glory and of reuniting the Andes still burn in the minds of most government officials.
Protectorates/Dominions/Satellites: None... yet...
Alliance/Alignments: I don't believe there are any for Perú
Other aspects:

Other Info
Goals: Re-take rightful Peruvian lands, and if there is little competition, unite the Andes (this will all come with the new government. I haven't decided if that'll be Communist, Fascist, or just a radical one I make up.
History: In 1809 the revolutionaries in Peru succeeded, and the nation was free from the evil grasp of the Spaniards. A new Peruvian nation had formed, and as the first colony to win their freedom, they went about consolidating their power and inciting revolt in neighboring viceroyalties. By 1816 they were ready to intervene in the Bolivian and Chilean revolts and fought the falling Spanish empire once more. Ecuador, Bolivia, and parts of northern Chile were added to Gran Perú, and for fifty years they enjoyed uncontested dominance over the Spanish-speaking South America. Until Brazil formed an alliance with Chile against Peru. In 1869 the diplomatically isolated Peru was invaded by joint Brazillian-Chilean forces. The advanced Chilean navy and the large army of Brazil worked to "liberate" Bolivia and Ecuador from the "evil Peruvians", and succeeded in occupying Lima and Arequipa in 1873. The Peruvian government soon surrendered, and two more nations were added to the American continent. After this embarrassing defeat, the Peruvian government became more and more expansionist towards the rest of the Andes. The army became the main focus of most passed laws, and for a while, as a shining example of democracy, a whole nation('s government) worked together to reach a common goal. While so far no lands have been taken from her neighbors, Peru definitely has the most well-equipped and largest army in the Andes. During the 20th Century Peru continued its modernization and advancement of the military, but also it's economy was beginning to be developed. The government hit a dead end in its military's construction, and the government realized that they simply hadn't the capacity to build new tanks of aircraft (the latter of which were focused on more because of the native terrain's inaccessibility to large mechanical vehicles). Now, in the Warring Twenties (huehue) Perú looks to finally see it's dream come true, and untie the Andes and relive the glory of ancient times.

Homeland Population: 28 million
Imperial Population: 59 million
Location/Claims: 22
Claims: Roussillon, Gibraltar, Malay peninsula
Capital City: Madrid

Government Info
Government Type: Multi-Party parliamentary republic
Brief Explanation of Government: The Spanish Republic is a rather common version of the democratic system. There is a parliament which is named the Congress of Deputies with seats made up of members of the biggest political parties that are decided by the virtue of how many votes the party got during the election. The President is usually the person who leads the largest party and he makes the government with ministers. After that the government generally makes propositions that the Parliament decides upon and votes if it should pass.
Ideology: Liberalism, Imperialism.
Leader/s: President Antonio Maura

Population Info
Brief Description of your people: The Majority of the population are made up of Spaniards who are seen as laid back and foulmouthed while still somewhat hard workers. The rest of the republics population are made up of Filipinos, Moroccans, Sumatrans, Malay and Africans.
Religion: Roman Catholicism dominates the Iberian peninsula and the Philippines while Islam is more powerful in the Moroccan and east Indian colonies.
Ethnicity: Spaniards, Filipinos, Malay, Sumatrans, Native Africans, Berber, Arabs and finally Chinese.
Main/Accepted Culture(s): Spanish.
Other Cultures: Sumatrans, Malay, Filipino, Chinese and Native Africans.

Economy/Infrastructure Info
Brief Description of your Economy: The Spanish Economy has seen a hit and rise in recent years. When Spain's biggest trade partners where thrown into a great war the Spanish managed to stay neutral and avoid destruction of industry and infrastructure. The Spanish republic's economy is based around food products like olives, spices and meat while also producing much needed metal, Oil and minerals that fuel the Spanish industry.
Main exports: Metals, Food products, Petroleum, Minerals, Consumer goods.
Main imports: Machinery and equipment.
Brief Description of your Infrastructure: The Spanish infrastructure has in recent years been greatly improved as the government has focused on developing the nation so that it can stand up to it's enemies. The fact that Spain didn't enter the Great war also means that Spain has not seen the ravages of war yet and the country's infrastructure has therefor not been damaged. The Spanish infrastructure is best in the Mediterranean coast, Madrid area, Catalonia, Aragon, the Basque county around areas like Pamplona and and the Lisbon area these being large population centers. Infrastructure in the colonies are much less developed especially in the African colonies south of the equator.

Military Info
Army: The Army is the largest branch of the military numbering about 420,000 men. The majority of the men are stationed in the Pyrenees with at least 150,000 being stationed around the colonies of which Morocco, Aceh and the Philippines are the most heavily garrisoned. The Army is generally a well trained and motivated force that has started to reform according to what was seen in the Great war so that the Spanish themselves don't fall into the same mistakes as the participants of the Great war did. The greatest problem is the quality of certain weapons and that the Military is not particularly experienced outside of the Army of Morocco, The army of the Philippines and the Army of Aceh.
Navy: The Spanish Navy has seen a large scale revival in recent years following the implementation of the Republic and the need to defend Spain's many colonies from external threats. While not the largest navy the Spanish fleet is well trained and are planned to gain new ships in the next few years. The Current number of sailors are 74,000 men?
Air Force: The Spanish Air force is a small and young branch that is just about to be created but it will take some years before i will be taken seriously by the rest of the world. The current numbers of service men are somewhere between 9-10,000 men.

Diplomacy Info
Brief description of your Foreign Policy: The Spanish Foreign policy is to remain out of political quarrels and power struggles as it could lead to Disaster if Spain got caught on the wrong side. Spain has however been starting to look for powerful friends as the civil war in France has worried many.
Protectorates/Dominions/Satellites: The Spanish republic really doesn't have any puppets of the normal sense and is generally contained to it's colonies and territories.
Alliance/Alignments: Spain is generally not aligned to any major alliances or nations even as nations as Germany and Columbia are seen as possible allies.
Other aspects: (leave blank if none)
