P2TM has seriously harmed everyone who is in P2TM's life.

@Hannover the video is about Admiral Kolchak in the movie Admiral. The lyrics are about what Kolchak might've been thinking as he was about to be executed.

Hannover is fine, I just enjoy berating the shit out of him. He's a good sport, he likes it.Sveltlana wrote:
Did you mention the existence of a Red Navy? Hah! Silly communist!
I am thinking of splitting Austria into three states. Austria+Czech, All Slav regions, and the rest under the moniker "Hungary". Austria shall remain monarchist, Hungary will become a staunch republican stronghold, and Slavonia will descend into Communist mayhem.
I may end up switching to the Slavs, should I get Serbia and company into the mix.

I think the amount of stress NS gives is quite concerning
Ahh I see. I watched it and it was very depressing towards the end. Though the uniforms that that guy wore were awesome, I approved

What nation are you anyways? I'm taking full control of the Austrian Empire's collapse anyways, so I'll let the colony fall to proto-ebola mixed with a deadly case of polio.

Kolchak's story is so interesting. The movie from which the stills are taken was pretty awesome, I watched it a couple of weeks ago. I just didn't like the love story, seemed sandwiched in the whole intrigue of Kolchak's adventures in Russia. They should've also given more movie time to his career before the Civil War. but eh, too late for my suggestions now that the movie is already made.

Nice! Is it only in Russian or is there an English version? I would like to watch it

Excellent! You have never let me down Neros, and I trust you will continue this trend.
Caltarania wrote:Sveltlana wrote:@Calt maybe Ottoman Empire just lost the Aegean and Egyptian parts in late 1600s but kept Anatolia down to Israel? Would that be coherent? Aegean Anatolia would be conquered in 1919 with the fall of the Empire I guess.
That'd be fine. The main problem with the other concept is that the Mameluke Empire would have already fallen to Britain well before 1919, and even if it was de jure independent as IOTL, that'd still mean that Kurdistan would have to fight the Mamelukes and Britain. The Grand Republic of Hannover wrote:
Nation (political science term): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nation
A state (political science term): A government that rules a territory
A nation-state: What is considered by political scientists to be the ideal combination: A nation under a government. Kurdistan is considered a nation (political science term) but not a nation-state
I know. But Scotland is also a nation-state, because it is a nation and has a government which rules it (the Scottish Parliament).
The Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine
Generic Info
Nation Name: The Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine
Symbols: [See Above]
Homeland Population: 6,500,000 [Populstat]
Imperial Population: N/A
Location/Claims: 46
Capital City: Jerusalem
Government Info
Government Type: Semi-Constitutional Monarchy
Brief Explanation of Government: The King holds formal executive power, however real power is exercised by the Parliament. Seats are mostly open to any citizen, however 1/3 of seats are reserved, either for members of specific religious communities, ethnic minorities or under-represented regions. For example 5 seats are reserved for the Orthodox Jewish community, however they currently hold 9 seats. The Cabinet officially reports to the King, however in practice it is chosen by the Prime Minister under Royal advisement.
Ideology: Monarchism, Secularism, Pan-Arabism, Political Pluralism, Interfaith Dialogue, Militarism
Leader/s: King Abdullah [HoS], Prime Minister Rashid Tali'a [HoG]
Population Info
Brief Description of your people: The Palestinian People are very diverse, ranging from Orthodox Jews near Jerusalem, to Shia and Alawites in the North, to a small Latin minority in Jerusalem, to Druze and Baha'i spread across the Kingdom
Religion: 45% Sunni, 20% Shia, 15% Christian (Catholic, Orthodox, Assyrian, Armenian, Non-demoninational), 10% Jewish, 10% Other[Druze/Yazidi/Baha'i/Zoroastrian/Hindu/Sikh/Ibadi] (Atheists not measured)
Ethnicity: Arab, Jewish [Hebrew], Assyrian, Latin
Main/Accepted Culture(s): Arabs [Secular]
Other Cultures: Religious groups, Jews, Assyrians, Africans, French etc.
Economy/Infrastructure Info
Brief Description of your Economy: The Palestinian Economy (sounds weird saying it...) is driven by trade, as a major hub between both the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean, Palestine sees a plethora of trade. As the former major silk-road port in the Eastern Mediterranean (outside of Istanbul), many of the Palestinian coastal cities have grown to become large harbours.
Main exports: Oil, Camels, Oil, Natural Gas, Oil, Fine Foods, Oil, Religious Artifacts
Main imports: Lumber, Agricultural products, Pilgrims, Fresh Water
Brief Description of your Infrastructure: Palestine is connected by an extensive rail network running between the major cities and border posts, the most famous of which is the Jerusalem-Haifia-Beirut line.
Military Info
Army: The Palestinian Military is very large, as it is constantly in use fighting jihadists, revolutionaries and rivals, with the threat of a foreign invasion being near-constant [Thanks, Britain]. Conscription is widely practiced, primarily among males but non-islamic females are known to serve in non-combat roles as well. Palestine uses mostly French-standard weapons but has recently developed its own standard rifle and desert combat equipment. There are 75,000 professional troops, with reserves numbering almost 150,000
Navy: The Palestinian Navy is the envy of Mesopotamia, using French scrap and remaking the ships into newer Palestinian standard combat vessels, stationed in major cities such as Haifa and Beirut. The navy contains just over 35,000 Seamen, and is equipped with Standard Palestinian naval outfits. There is a single dreadnaught under construction in Haifa expected to be complete by the end of 1922.
Air Force: The Palestinian Airforce is pathetically small, equipped only with a few French leftovers used mostly for reconnaissance. There are a mere 1,500 men in the Airforce
Diplomacy Info
Brief description of your Foreign Policy: Stays rather neutral in external conflicts, ideology isn't a major factor in Palestine. Secularism has resulted in very little sympathy towards religious conflicts, and economics [Oil Market primarily] has resulted in the avoidance of clinging to any one great power. The Hashemite Kingdom is generally friendly with its neighbours, wishing to avoid military engagements, with a fairly negative view of nations like Venezuela, Nigeria, Algeria and other non-Arabian oil exporters, however relations are largely non-existent.
Protectorates/Dominions/Satellites: N/A, however Palestine exerts a great deal of influence over British Egypt
Alliance/Alignments: Friendly to Kurdistan, friendly to non-commie France.
Other aspects: [This area will be expanded on, OOC discussion is ongoing]
Other Info
Goals: Cyprus, Sinai for territory. Developing a 'Palestine' Identity and doing away with sectarian ties and conflict in order to create a stronger national bond. Increasing secularism and loyalty to the King to avoid religious conflict. Hopefully becoming a major Mediterranean trade power.
History:
Under the Ottoman Empire, the powerful Hashemite family swayed the Sultan to leave the administration of Palestine and Transjordan to them, in exchange for loyalty and avoidance of rebellions during the wars. As the Ottomans slowly began to collapse the Hashemites consolidated power
When the Empire fell, the French and British were quick to sweep in, the Kurdish state was welcome to the Hashemites as a nice buffer against Russia, Turkey and Persia. The Hashemites knew the sectarian violence, particularly in Jerusalem, would be devastating and make the new Kingdom vulnerable to outside attack, so the Hashemites begrudgingly became a French Protectorate of Palestine. After 5 years of French protection, the Hashemites took advantage of the communist uprising in Paris, declaring independence peacefully and welcoming in thousands of refugees from France, constituting the largest european minority in the Middle East, and making Palestine the home to the most French refugees outside west Europe.
Today the new nation is happily developing with its newfound trade riches, slowly but surely developing relations with both its neighbours and international players.
RP Sample: Inglorious Palestine laughs at your silly 'sample'

It's in Russian. A quick Google search gave me a YouTube video with English subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRckaEkuRAo
Sveltlana wrote:@Allen idk, both countries seem too irrelevant (no offense) at this point in the RP to merit being individual nations.
@Han nope, but I know some Russian I'm actually Mexican, although my ethnicity is a matter that is disputed to this day.
