But the potential for accidental border crossings provided by an utterly confusing border is too immense!
Really, just copy and paste BiH on this map into your map; this one has the border between the Bosniak-Croat Federation and the Republika Srspka in gray, so just make it white to show that it's a national border and color the things on both sides.
That's not set in stone, though, and regardless it doesn't have to be universal. It might be perfectly alive in Yugoslavia, what with the country's weak monarchy and perpetual ethnic tension. Hell, the CSA might have some sort of briefly-prominent fascist movement after losing to Japan, especially because the peace lobby was selling reconciliation as the Japanese prepared for war.
1. Fair enough; but I'd suggest moving the Second Yugoslav War up; the Slovenes aren't going to sit for a half-century before exploding.
2. OK, I can do that. (Map and the crossings)
3. There Can Be No Reconciliation Until The Confederate Imperialists Return Hawaii.

You could just make Bosnia a massive jigsaw puzzle, such as having a part of Sarajevo be inside Serbia inside Croatia inside Serbia inside Croatia inside Serbia...
It will put the madness that is the OTL exclave and enclaves on the Indian-Bangladeshi border to shame.
I'm not a miracle worker, and our map is pretty small. I would move our map over to the AlternateHistory.org standards, but I don't have the time for that these days. ^^
