"I've been on the run from you guys since I was fourteen. I've been betrayed by my own uncle, a man that I respected, that I loved. It already got out hand a long time." He raised up his arms. "When Homo sapiens appeared, they were like the mutants to Homo neanderthalenis. It looked as if they were going to coexist, but the Neanderthals were either hunted to extinction or were simply died off on their own."

"The way I see it though, the new human species and Homo Sapiens can coexist. Never did anything to deserve this. We were backed into corners, we were forced to play our hands....." Element went on his knees, with his hands on the back of his hand and back towards Cash. "You all did this. I am gonna go willingly. But I promise you, next time I escape, I'm gonna make you wish you let me escape this time."

Kovac

Kovac, being Kovac, could not let that false comment slide, "actually they were not mutants. Modern humans and neanderthals evolved from two different branches of the Homo family and both were merely different subspecies of the same species." he said as the guards tied his arms. "Secondly I believe that your entire worldview is flawed. You did bring this on yourself. No one forced you to escape from the facility and no one forced you hide in populated areas where casualties are almost inevitable. I have fought many mutants who have turned to crime or viewed themselves as a new species and thus not bound by human convention, such as you are beginning to believe. Furthermore mutants are not a new species as we do not share enough genetic similarities with each other and lack similarities with normal humans to be considered such. Finally, using Vampire as a base, we are able to reproduce with humans and the offspring of the union is viable."

Murphy decided to jump in "So get off your high horse. Do you know what happens when we lose control? Of course you do, people die. Do you know how many agents you killed? How many didn't want to kill you, just capture you so that you could be taught to control it? But you don't care, you killed them. They were just bad guys to you, but to us, they were friends with families who left behind widows and orphans." he gestured to the guards who solemnly nodded in agreement. "When I lose control of my powers I can demolish buildings! Or you! Do you know how many innocent people you killed in "stunts" like that plane fire you caused? How many third degree burns you caused to the passengers when you blacked out and the fire went out of control? Of course not." He gestured for the syringe to be put in Element. "Good night, if it was up to me, it would be your last, but Orion is willing to try and help you. Probably do more for you than you deserve or that you would do for others." It was unlikely that Element had heard the last couple of sentences as he was already asleep. The guard wasted no time in putting the second syringe to suppress him.

Sobol

Sobol looked at the screen where the confrontation took place. "That was exciting. I would love to speak with the young man, but I have a prior engagement that has been waiting several decades to happen." He nodded to the screen with an awake Loki tied to a chair.

"We won't keep you doctor." Brunner moved to the mike, "Kovac, Murphy, meet the doctor at interrogation room 2." He moved away and turned to his secretary, Ms. Davenport. "Find out who screwed up and how. I want to..."

The rest of Brunner's sentence was cut off for Sobol, at least, as the door to the room closed behind him. He proceeded to make the short trip to the "Big Four" rooms. Interrogation rooms 1-4 where kept separate from the rest of the room as they were designed to house the worst mutants that were caught. He nodded to the platoon of guards standing outside room 1. They were there to guard Vampire. The suppressant was a wonderful drug that used Färber's own serum against itself. It suppressed the serum and brought the mutants back down to what they actually were, mutants. However, Vampire was a natural mutant and thus the only way to keep him bound was to keep him locked up tighter than Houdini. Thankfully it had worked, Vampire had not fed in a while and thus his powers were close to their limit, enough for him to think twice about escaping.

He passed them to the four soldiers guarding Färber. Ibrahim and Brian were already there. "Shall we?"

Ibrahim nodded, Brian responded, "Whenever doc."

He nodded to the soldier closest to the door. He opened the door and stepped aside. Sobol entered, once more flanked by Brian and Ibrahim. Brian moved to the chair next to the door and Ibrahim to the table. "Hello, "Mr. Schuster" as you like to call yourself. Shall we drop the facade or would you like to keep going?"

Schuster looked up at the man he had imprisoned all those years ago. Sobol was a young child then, while Schuster was quite older. But that did not matter, they had developed a bond, a bond that would forever unite them. He had blessed Sobol with the abilities of the gods but yet he still hated him. Why? Sobol was acting too childish, holding on to the past. It was those dead parents. Sobol shouldn't dwell on the past, its not healthy.

Schuster looked up at the guards that surrounded him, noting their rather emotionless face but yet beyond that they still had fear hiding in the shadows. Was it this place, perphaps. He was a god in their eyes. . Ignoring Sobol's question, he asked something more personal, "Why do you hate me?" He let that question sink in for a moment and becase he was thoroughly amused, he laughed.

"Where is Victor Collins?"
Jenkins held the drug supplier by his shirt collar, and ice was slowly approaching his neck.

"I swear man, I don't know where he is!"

"I know that you know where he is. You were supplying him with cocaine only a few days ago in a warehouse in Staten Island. Now tell me." An ice spike appeared in Jenkins's hand, and he jabbed it into the man's thigh. Quickly covering the supplier's mouth, he said, "Tell me. Or there will be more."

"Ok, ok! I'll tell you! I heard he was in Manhattan, at the NYSE! Somewhere around there! I don't know exactly where, just somewhere around that area! Now please don't hurt me!"

"Thank you." Jenkins threw the supplier to the side. Creating an ice hammer, he smashed the supplier's legs. He then took out his phone and dialed 911. After a few seconds on the phone, he put it back in his pocket. "I just called the police to arrest you. I also broke both of your legs. Good bye." Using a pillar of ice to boost his jump, he jumped onto a building, the supplier looking awed. With the pillar collapsing, Jenkins disappeared over the edge of the roof as police sirens wailed in the distance.

Nekronia wrote:Scratch listened to the man's words, and nodded his head in understanding. Well this sucks ass. Could be worse, though. Considering his new life as a prisoner in rehabilitation, the young criminal stated his response friendily. "Five ta six. Aight. Sounds kinda like before, just more like a rehab-oriented clink instead of the whole 'life sentence' thing." He shrugged at the turn of events, glad it was as it was not as bad as before. "I don't think I got anymore questions, so I should probably go check out my room an' stuff now."

Rowe

"Right, let's go." Rowe said, he went up to the door and knocked on it. One of the guards opened the door and surveyed the room. He motioned for the other to follow him in. They unstrapped Scratch from the chair and put on a pair of handcuff. Rowe shrugged apologetically, "regulations are regulations, sorry."

They led him out of the room and down a long hallway. Rowe began to explain again, "you will be in section C. All in all it is a nice block, guards aren't too strict and you are given a fair amount of freedom. As long as you show up for meals, report to them at 4:30 for power practice and are in your room before lights out, which is midnight by the way, you should be fine. The rest of the time you are pretty much free to move around as you like. "

They entered a large prison like area. A cafeteria in the middle for prisoners to sit at and the rooms all around them going up three floors. Most of the inmates were in the cafeteria area, some were playing cards, others were watching the tvs that were on the pillars around the area. Some sort of a sports game was on. They did not pay much attention to the new arrival, they were used to it.

Rowe lead Scratch and the guards up the stairs to the second floor. They stopped at room 231F. Rowe opened the door and gestured for the guards to uncuff Scratch. They did so without complaint. The room was not large, but not too small. A bed on the left side with a desk, chair, and cabinet on the other. The door had an electric lock, it could be opened at any time during the day, but from midnight to seven a.m. it would lock automatically unless overridden from the control panel. "This is your room. You have clothes in the cabinet." They were the same blue scrubs that all the prisoners wore.

Sobol

Sobol found himself laughing, a pitying laugh. he had looked into Schuster's mind and found the man to have massive delusions of grandeur. "I don't hate you. Not as much as I would have a decade ago. A decade ago I would have risen to that barb. A decade ago I might have hated you, but now, you are nothing. Just a poor old man who I have a dislike for. I have found things worthy of my hate. Things that I hate with all my being. You, you are nothing in the face of that."

Sobol sat down in the chair. "We do not view you as a god, or anything really. You are just another enemy. The NSA already has your formula and they have made strides in making it better. You on the other hand. We have no use for you. You are just a sad, broken old man who no one has the time to put out of his misery." Sobol looked to the wall to his right, "you are correct in believing that we fear something. But it is not you. Vampire, William, Stanislav, whatever he wants to call himself, that is the man we fear. Compared to what he can do, you are nothing. Compared to what he has done, you are nothing. Compared to what he has taken from us, you are nothing."

"But I suppose I should thank him and you. Despite calling yourself a god, you have no followers, or perhaps, no useful followers. Vampire and the other mutant you used to kill for you were very willing to talk. They admitted to everything. But that left us wondering, why kill and FDA agent? After Vampire told us, we ordered a sample to be sent to us. We tested the formula and found it to be very similar to the one you created. Well done, if you had not overplayed your hand, we might have never known until it was too late."

Sobol gestured to Ibrahim who flipped a switch sending a few volts of electricity into Schuster's body. "Not answering question will lead to you being punished. Though I cannot blame you. You failed twice to recruit the army you desired, perhaps you are hoping that the third time is the charm? I should hope so, it only took the NSA one attempt. But I suppose some men are simply not destined for greatness. So the next question is, what is your plan? Create more mutants so that you may finally live out your godhood fantasy?"

Scratch quietly and obediently followed along with the guards, not putting up any fight at all and just letting the tour go as intended for now. Eh. Seems aight. I'd prefer to be at home, but I guess this is 'kay. Nicolas's new cell seemed decent enough, despite the lack of computers and such to mess around with. It seemed as though it was going to be a boring life unless the fellow prisoners enjoyed fighting. Judging from their behavior, this was not the case. The captive considered the possibility of being literally bored to death. There wasn't really much to say either, so the prisoner slowly entered his cell and examined the various items. After a moment, he turned to look at Rowe again. "Oh, important question I forgot: What time is it? Kinda need to know because of scheduling and I've been out for a while. Is there a clock somewhere? I think I'm good, other than that."

Daniel walked into his apartment. “Julie, I'm home.” Daniel said happily.
“I'm in the kitchen.” Julie said. Daniel waltzed his way into the kitchen and twirled her around. “Well someone's happy.”
“Why wouldn't I be. I have an awesome job. I have an amazing...roommate.” Daniel said faking being awkward. Julie just rolled her eyes. “Anyway, you know those five gold watches I bought from a guy for $15 each?”
“Yeah, but I thought you thought they weren't real gold.” Julie said.
“I do, I sold them to five suckers for $100 each.” Daniel said.
“You got $500 and it's not lunch yet.” Julie said excitedly.
“Yes, and I can take you out tonight. Don't worry about a dress I'll handle it.” Daniel said.
“You're so sweet.” Julie said as she grabbed some yogurt and went to the living room.
Daniel ran to their room and grabbed a box with a big, fake diamond in it that looked real.
Daniel walked down to McDonald's for the dropoff. He put the box in a booth. A guy with a silver breifcase, the mark, entered and went to the booth. His mark's eyes got wide as he saw the box. He put the breifcase on the table and left. Daniel opened the breifcase and inspected the money.
Daniel took a bus to a theater and waited in the lobby for his friend's shift to start in 30 minutes.

Rowe

"Time?" Rowe looked at his watch, "8:00 am. Little late for breakfast, but I think you can convince the cafeteria workers to get you something since you are new and all. Right now it's pretty much free time. I saw that you are a gamer in the report. We have game rooms in the facility where you can play them. Nothing online, but you can play against the prisoners on gaming consoles and computers." Rowe checked his watch again, "we have clocks in the cafeteria for keeping time. You can ask the guards or another prisoner for directions to the room, but I need to run. I have an appointment to keep. Good luck."

Daniel managed to get a dress and suit from a friend.
When he was walking home he saw two guys mugging a kid. “Aw come on. Don't you two have anything better to do then mug a teen.” Daniel said.
“So. Why do you care?” The lead mugger said.
“It's what I do. Now leave him alone.” Daniel said.
“Sure. After I kill you.” The lead mugger said. He pulled out a gun and shot a few bullets. Daniel just blasted the bullets with electricity.
“Um Snake. I think we should go.” The other said.
“Shut up Razor.” Snake said. “I gotta teach this guy a lesson. If I can't kill you, I'll kill him.” Snake pointed the gun at the teen's head and fired. The teen's body fell dead.
“No!” Daniel screamed. He sent a bolt of electricity at Razor's head and fried his brain killing him. Seeing his friend's death, Snake dropped the wallet and ran. “Leave no witnesses.” Daniel repeated the vow he made for himself. He launched a deadly bolt at Snake's head and killed him. He grabbed the kid's wallet, took the money and threw the wallet back at him. Daniel continued his walk home.

11 Wall Street, Lower Manhattan, New York City
New York Stock Exchange

"Well, this is the right place."
The trading floor was filled with people. Many were wearing suits, although some looked like regular people. Police officers were all over the place. Jenkins knew he was standing in the hub of the US's economy, and somehow a wanted mob boss was somewhere in these crowds. As he pushed through the crowds, he looked around for any sign of Collins' famous head. After a half hour of searching, even in the bathrooms, there was no sign of Collins.

Disgruntled, Jenkins walked out of the NYSE. He began to walk down the street for no good reason. Then he saw a man wearing a trench coat step out of the back of a van, his hands in his pockets and avoiding direct eye contact with anybody. That just might be my man.

"I'd better be ready for anything." Jenkins formed an ice knife in his hand. He then began to follow the man.

Donald sat patiently on a park bench on the edge of Central Park. A New York Yankees baseball hat sat snugly on his head to keep the sun off and a red plaid shirt was on his torso. He had a pair of brown slacks on and some brown running shoes as well. As he waited for his bus during the bristling heat he thought to himself <I hope the bus arrives soon>. He knew he could transform anytime but refrained for fear that public exposure would lead to dire consequences for both him and anyone he knows.

5 minutes past and finally the bus arrived, he walked to the bus door which as always never failed to stop a few feat ahead if where every one was standing. He waited for the people to get off before attempting to enter and although slightly annoyed at the others pushiness waited his turn patiently. He found a spot standing at the back of the heavily crowded bus that smelled of sweat from a combination of hot sweaty people and and open windows seemingly pushing the smell straight towards him except the smell of pot which seemed to flow around the back of the bus unopposed by the wind and permeated his sinuses, it was a very unpleasant smell not unlike that of sulphur or the skunk. After a few blocks of nasal and visual torture he departed the bus, careful to thank everyone who got out of way. He walked over to the other side of the street and entered the train two minutes later. He took the train to his home in New York City, the forest hills neighbourhood.

Jenkins followed the man in the trench coat through the alleyway. The man walked a few blocks and, once through the alleyway, got into another car that was waiting for him. The car pulled away from the street. Looking around, Jenkins saw a taxi coming up the block. He hailed for the taxi and got in.

"So, where are you going?" the taxi driver asked.

Pointing at the car Collins was in, Jenkins said, "Follow that car." He took out a hundred dollar bill out of his wallet. The driver's eyes widened. "You can keep the change if you get me there fast." The driver nodded, and began to drive.

"Why do you need to follow that car?"
"Uh... my friend is in there. I missed him."
"Oh... ok."

The car led Jenkins to Queens, stopping at an alleyway near an empty construction site. Collins and 2 other men stepped out of their car. Handing the driver a wad of cash, Jenkins followed suit. He followed the men until they came to an alleyway. Jenkins waited until they finished with their deal, and then he stepped into the alleyway. "Hey guys!"

Collins turned around. "What the... it's you!" He turned to the other men. "Get him!" Before the presumed guards could raise their weapons, Jenkins flash froze their pistols, causing them to shatter into shards of plastic and metal. He then froze their feet to the ground. Collins turned around and ran. Jenkins gave pursuit.

Collins ran into the construction site and climbed up a ladder into the future building's frame. Jenkins tried to freeze one of the ladder's rungs to make Collins slip, but he didn't slip. Shaking his head, Jenkins climbed up. Collins ran up an empty stairwell to the top of the building site, but Jenkins was already waiting there.

"What the hell..." Collins murmured.
"Yeah. I get that a lot." Jenkins replied. He launched a large, blunt chunk of ice into Collin's chest, knocking him down. His gun fell out of his pocket. As Jenkins walked towards Collins, he tried to grab his gun, but Jenkins stood on top of it.

"I've been hunting you for the last 5 years, all over the United States. You killed my parents." Jenkins said. "What do you have to say for yourself?"

"I've killed lots of people," Collins said, standing up and dusting himself off. "You've killed many as well, in your quest for vengeance. So who's the bad guy now? Me or you? Your parents would've turned you over anyways, once they found out you were a mutant. They didn't care about you, really."

Jenkins punched Collins in the gut. "Shut it! You deserve to die for your crimes! You've killed innocent people, rivals, government officials, and for what? Your own personal gain. All you want is money and power. I've saved more lives by taking out your goons and business associates than you have money."

Collins sighed. "You'd just do me a favor if you killed me. I'm a wanted man. And so are you."

Jenkins picked up Collin's gun, which was a revolver. Jenkins emptied out all but one bullet and spun the cylinder. Cocking the revolver, he handed it to Collins. "In that case, go kill yourself."

"If you say so." Collins put the barrel of the revolver in his mouth and pulled the trigger. A loud click emanated from the weapon. "See? I'm not...dead." He looked down and saw a large blade sticking through his chest. "Shit."

Collins fell backwards and off the edge of the building site. He landed with a splash into a container full of wet cement. It enveloped his body, and all that could be seen was the hilt of the ice sword sticking out of the cement.

His work complete, Jenkins left the construction site.

“Julie I'm home.” Daniel said upset.
Julie was sitting on the couch. She looked over at Daniel and asked, “What's wrong?”
Daniel flopped down on the couch. “I just killed two guys.” Daniel said.
Julie turned off the TV and turned towards Daniel. “What?” She said.
“These guys were mugging this teen. I was trying to negotiate with them when they fired. I zapped the bullets with my powers. Then one of the douches shot and killed the teen. I got pissed and fried their brains.” Daniel explained.
“That's what makes it worse.” Julie said. “Things are getting worse. I've seen news reports that I suspect are caused by mutants.”
“What are you saying?” Daniel asked starting to get worried.
“You need to go find the other mutants.” Julie said. “Start now.”
Daniel got up and grabbed a few hundred bucks from their room. He rented a car and bought a lot of gas tanks for grills.
Daniel drove to an abandoned warehouse and positioned the tanks inside the warehouse. He took one tank and poured it on the closest tank to the entrance to a trail leading outside. He shocked the start of the trail until it ignited. Daniel ran away and next thing that anyone close by could see was a bunch of explosions.
Daniel returned the car and got lost in the crowd of New Yorkers.

HIs latest "execution" of Collins had drawn a lot of attention, just like the other two parent-killers he had eliminated years ago, in Las Vegas and Chicago respectively. The first he had stuffed down a giant ice penguin's throat and the second frozen solid and broken into several pieces. He was now staying low in his apartment, afraid to even look out of the window. He sat down in his armchair and turned on the TV.

"Police are still investigating the death of infamous mob boss Victor Collins, who was found inside a tub of concrete with what appeared to be a sword in his chest and a revolver, believed to be his, in his right hand. This may have been the result of gang warfare, but the NYPD has not ruled out foul play. Collins was one of the NYPD's most wanted criminals, and they are sighing with relief at the criminal's death. 'We may not know who killed , but if an unknown vigilante did this, we praise him or her. Of course, we'd still have to arrest them.' says the police chief."

Dangerous times, Jenkins thought. The only way he was going to survive was with another mutant, and he only knew one: the teleporting lady.

Echo had been doing her own thing for a while. Normally she would have been filled to the brim with jobs from gangs and stuff, but she had pulled in favors and other resources to find Jenkins. After a few recent activities that she noticed as mutants gone wild or NSA meddling the woman decided to try and find away to make a group of her own. Something like a mob but without all the killing and shit. After about a week or so blink found out where the ice man lived. He wasn't the only mutant she knew but he seemed to be the most reasonable of those she's found. Knocking on the mans door she yelled out:" yo ice man I know your in there let me in we need to talk! Like now!"

Like now!"

Jenkins heard a knock on the door of his apartment. He tried to ignore it, as he was watching TV, but he walked up to the door anyways. Looking through the peephole, he saw the teleporting lady's face. "Well, I wanted to meet her," Jenkins murmured. "But just in case..." Forming a knife in his hand, Jenkins opened the door.

"What the hell do you want?" Jenkins asked.

The moment Jenkins open his door Echo ported inside of his house and appeared on his sofa with her legs crossed. Looking back at him she gave him a "are you going to shut the door look"." You know ice man what you did will attract the wrong crowed to track you down. Personally I can't stay in the shadows ether so I was wondering..." suddenly her voice became quite and low, but just enough for him to hear." I would like to start our own mutant group like the X-MEN but we help each other survive and stay under the radar. I don't wanna see NSA or anyone take our kind back to palms island or use them for their own means." Switching her legs now leveling out her voice while looking a bit concerned for his and other safety." Your not the only mutant I know, but you are the only one stable enough to help me with this plan. I know this is asking a lot from you though the end result will help our kind survive."

Jenkins closed the door. The knife melted away and he walked over to the sofa. Sitting down, he considered his choices. "Well, it's not like I have any other choice. But we have a rather... rough relationship. I did destroy your car, and I tried to kill you." Sighing, Jenkins walked over to the kitchen and poured a glass of water. "But how do I know you're not going to shoot me when I'm not looking?" Jenkins took a sip of water. "Would you like a drink?"

"Ya you did trash my car though I can forgive you for trying to kill. Most people try but never even touch me even without my powers. Though you will replace my car with something better later when you have the money." Taking the cup from him then rising out do the seat then taking a gulp only to give it back to him." If I wanted to kill you why would I let you see my face then ask you to join me. You have ten minutes to pack some clothes and necessities then meet me in my car, we have one more person to pick up he already did something stupid today." Walking over to the door she walked out of the apartment then hoped inside of her ford gt to wait for Jenkins.

"Alright, alright." Jenkins said. He put the glass of water into the sink and sighed. Walking into his bedroom, he took a small duffel bag out of the closet and packed a few sets of clothes into it. He took three water bottles from the kitchen and walked out of his apartment. Before he closed the door, Jenkins took a moment to look at the apartment. "Well, if something bad happens, I might never see this place again."

Jenkins went down the thoroughly worn out stairs and out the building. The teleporting lady was waiting in a new car, a Ford GT. Jenkins opened the door and sat down in the plush seat. "I must be crazy to be doing this," Jenkins muttered. Turning to the lady, Jenkins said, "Could you please stop calling me 'Ice Man'? My name is Jenkins. Now step on it."

"Ok Jenkins then let's get moving." Shifting into full reverse the woman bolted out of the drive way then shifted into a 180 degree reverse then shot off down the street." The next person on our list is Daniel Smit. He's the main reason for tracking you down first his powers are problematic for mine in a way. Though he maybe be easier for you to talk to." Swerving past a few cars on the highway but never looking at Jenkins the whole time." I think after we pick him up you two will need to learn some new tricks to conceal your powers. My ability allows me to barely be notice or touched so stealth is my thing. Each of you need to also learn to disguise your power in normal society so your not ever noticed." Driving off the highway into an apartment complex parking lot blink shut the car off. Then quietly turned to Jenkins." Look if we want to not become captured then lean to conceal your ability from everyone." Getting out of the car she walked up a flight of stairs only to bang on the door quite loudly."Daniel it me Echo open up we need to talk now!"

When Echo knocked, Daniel started to panic in fear of the NSA finding him. “God, why did you convince me to find other mutants.” Daniel whispered to Julie. Julie just had a scared look on her face. “Go pack our bags.” Julie got up and went to their room.
Daniel walked to the door and opened it up a crack. He seen the woman he thought was Echo. “May I help you?” Daniel asked when he put his head out.

"Quite being paranoid Daniel it me Echo you know the teleporting mutant. Are you ready yet, and as for your electro girl friend please transport her with in your body not inside of my car!" Quickly porting inside of his apartment she grabbed a few thing the shoved them in his hands." Come on we have to get to my place before the notice the mutants joining up."

“Julie wait here.” Daniel said.
“Do you have everything you need to remake me?” Julie asked.
“Of course.” Daniel said. He ran down to Echo's car and got in the back. Daniel checked in the bag that Echo put in his hands. There was some of his clothes, Julie's clothes, some pictures of them, and some cash. "The only way to transport Julie inside of me is to be knocked out." Daniel thought. He shocked his pulse just a little bit so he'd be knocked out for a second.
Daniel looked back at his abandoned apartment building and thought of the last twelve years as the happiest years of his life. Yet he was happy he was leaving it to be around people like him.

After porting to her vehicle echo immediately drove towards her condo in the up town NYC area. Exiting her vehicle only to lead the others to her condo on the top floor. The moment they made it inside of her house the teleporter she automatically pulled out her phone to make an important call." You guy can get to know each other I have to set up some business jobs for us." Walking onto the sky deck blink began to talk to all the top underground top dogs to gain some territory within New York for her mutant group. Even made calls to set up a information net work that she personally created.

Daniel just flopped down on a couch. He got out some of Julie's clothes and remade her. “How long was I out?” Julie asked as she got up.
“Not long. That girl just drove us to this condo.” Daniel said. Julie sat down next to Daniel. Daniel looked at the other guy and extended his hand. “Hey, I'm Daniel.”

Shaking Daniel's hand, Jenkins looked at him. He seemed to be a nice guy, with a wife and maybe some friends. Everything he wasn't. The last time he ever had anybody who cared about him was his parents, and he had avenged them. Yet there was still something that hadn't been resolved. A gnawing pain, a pit of darkness was still inside of him. There was one more thing left to do, and Jenkins had no idea what it was. He remembered Collins' anguished face as he fell from the building site. A mixture of shock, anger, and grief as he looked at the sword in his chest.

Fighting back the tears, Jenkins introduced himself. "My name's Jenkins. Glad to meet you."
