This may not be official, but I read somewhere that city elves live about the same length as humans do, while dalish elves live those couple centuries mentioned before. I'm going to assume it is partly because of dalish practices/magic, so only elves raised with the dalish live long.
Just saying. So elves taken from the dalish at birth would not have this long life span without other skills involved.
