Also, just tell them that the metric system uses base-10 and is completely regular, whereas the Imperial system is just fucking confusing, and the metric system is therefore more logical and hence inherently better. ;)

Metric is WAY better than Imperial. The only reason I see for Imperial to stay is because a whole lot of Americans don't know it, so if we switched we'd have a lot of confusion. Also, all of our signs and speedometer and more would need to be replaced. Blech. Where's my actually reasonable measurement system already?!

As for the Luther Burger... don't be dissin' on the heart attack WMD. You're just jealous of the AMERICA flowing through it. Good God that thing looks disgusting. I don't care about calorie count because of my perma-skinny genetics, but that thing looks vomit-inducing.

Yeah, well, when Canada switched to metric (in the early 70s iirc) a lot of people were confused, but now everyone's familiar with it (though a lot of older people don't like it very much). And we still use Imperial alongside metric informally (and most Canadians only know their weight and height in Imperial). *shrug* But anyway, it would be better in the end imo.

Ok folks. As I sorta halfways mentioned in my last post, I am currently considering utilizing a stats form for our characters. It would be rather general in its scope, but would make it a bit easier for myself, the Co-Ops, and all of you guys to decide just exactly what actions your characters can accomplish. This would also allow us to give you all truly useful rewards for certain behavior (yes, you gotta love positive reinforcement), and will help us determine what position your characters should hold in the squad, and what tasks you succeed in (or fail miserably at).

If you're wondering what I mean by this, look at Elfen High's powergrid (and no, its not going to merely be copied and pasted from there. I don't like plagiarism).

Anyway, do any of you have any suggestions or comments? Or do any of you actually not want to utilize character stats?

To me, it just looks like a burger on a donut. It's like putting sausage on a bagel, except for lunch and you've got a sweet bun.

I've never done it before, but it doesn't look like a bad idea. Maybe the large amount of calories comes from the way it's made.

And to Lith, I don't care about stats or not, but is this where Anthony shows up? I can harraz childrens now?

Perhaps have a sort of D20 esque system? With several base stats (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Willpower, etc) which help one perform certain skills (Healing, Shooting, Insight, etc). Skills could be trained to be improved.

So for example, Intelligence and Wisdom would add to Healing. Desterity and Strength would be weapon melee combat skill.

I was thinking of that. Although I may give specific sub-skills to those basic ones, but I'm still unsure.

I could help with something like that, though right now I'm about to fall asleep at any second. After this post I'm going to call it a night.
Perhaps certain skills could have three sub skills? Like Melee weapons being divided into Blunt, Slashing and Piercing? Or we could just have lots of specialised skills?

I like the idea of a powergrid, it permits to specify how your character is though about. Waiting to see it then.

We'll be able to see it when it's done right, also will the numbers be random or will you be keeping to the bios and demonstrated ability?

I think that the powergrid would be useful. However, I would suggest a limit on the number of points (or whatever you want to call them) that each character receives to avoid OPness.

App:
Character name: Conrad Stern
Gender: Male
Age: 44
Appearance: Conrad
Personality: Mellow to say the least, he's pretty relaxed. Deep down he's incredibly sadistic and violent, but that almost never comes to the surface.
Strengths/Abilities: He's strong and quite large standing over 6'6" feet tall. An excellent shot with a sniper rifle.
Weaknesses : Conrad is very non-confrontational, preferring to leave dangerous work to Memoir. Conrad has a bad leg as a result of a firefight in his younger years, he wears a metal brace on the leg to make sure it doesn't get worse but it slows him down, preventing him from doing much running.
Short Bio:(TBA)

Theme Song: Short Change Hero

Demon Familiar Name: "Memoir"
Demon Gender: Male
Demon Age at Death: Depend on which death but this current one is 21.
Demon Appearance: Memoir
Demon Personality: Psychotic, dangerous, traitorous, pathological liar, but devoted to his master.
Demon Special Ability: Reincarnates almost immediately after death.
Demon Weaknesses: Reincarnation takes a massive amount of energy from his master, he's been a familiar for multiple demons each of them have died a rather horrific death, Memoir also has a massive tendency towards violent crimes.
Demon Short Bio: TBA

Theme Song: Mad World
Or
Crazy

This is a hysterically bad idea for me to join ANOTHER rp... but Lith said I could play with my Immortal familiar and he also said I could be a secondary character... Yay.

Since I'm friggin' lazy, and you're Het, I'll let you in for now without a bio.

ACCEPTED!!!
