Now historically, only about 14 nations participated in the first Olympics -- but considering how different out world is, we could have much much more. Russia, Ukraine, Crimea, Rum, Arabia, Japan, China, Canada, Confederacy, Tawantinsuyu, Guyane, Brazil, etc. would probably all participate, creating a much harder situation to assign 122 medals (since all these nations wouldn't recieve ZERO medals)

Something worth noting about India...

Combining the 'Mandate of Heaven' with the 'Head of the Church' will lead to Bharata developing a view of the world very much like that of OTL China... Bharata is viewed as the center of civilization, and the Maharaja of Bharata as the designated ruler of the world. Other nations will be called 'vassals' or 'tributaries' or 'barbarian tribes', and categorized into two categories: 'enlightened'(Christian) and 'unenlightened'(non-Christian). This will mainly effect the tone of Bharata's communiques with the world; for example, when it discusses dividing up Persia with Arabia, it will refer to the Arabs as something along the lines of 'heretical barbarians' and to their sultan as a 'vassal of the Maharaja'. Arabia(and the rest of the world) should ICly know to expect this from Bharata, and just roll their eyes and play along. They aren't intending to insult you, and if they thank their 'heathen Arabian tributaries', they're legitimately thankful, and not sarcastic. They also aren't going to expect anyone to actually pay tribute or except the Maharaja as their suzerain, but they are going to act as though they do. It's just their protocol. So... be warned, and bear with them.

These are not intended to be insults. The Egyptians aren't used to the overexposure to external culture, and the Aztecs call people how they seem physically.

Arabian names for independent countries

Egypt = Miṣr (مِصر‎)
Britannia = Matarīyah <-- "the land of rain" (referring to Britain's considerable rains)
Bharata = al-Hind
Ostrogothic Kingdom = Italia
Western Bulgaria = Bolghariyah (land of the Bulgars)
Eastern Bulgaria = Burdjanistan (Burdjani is the Arabic term for Volga Bulgars)
Aztecs = al-Wādīrīyah (land of the valley, referring to Tenochtitlan)

The Arabs wouldn't really have alternative implied names, other than to refer to them as non-followers of Islam. The polytheists of the world (Britannia, Egypt, Aztecs, etc.) would all be considered following derivative beliefs similar to Islam, who simply do not acknowledge Allah as the supreme God.

Carasso kind of doesn't care about what Gavril said, but he knows that George wouldn't approve -- and George von Licht was the man who inspired him to write, so Carasso has left Rum and Ithaca all together and taken lodging in Japanese Ethiopia, where he hopes to get his life straight, before returning to Ithaca.

He'll spend 11 years in self-imposed exile before returning to Rum in 1904, and becoming a politician. He'll eventually become Grand Vizier under his original name.

So what has happened:

- Emmanuel Carasso has realized that he is indeed, a not a good man.
- He attempts to kill himself to rectify his actions, but his wife stops him. The two get into a very violent argument, and she leaves.
- He is left alone in his seaside lodge on Ithaca, and after four days of contemplating suicide again, he decides to leave Ithaca for as long as it takes for him to be happy again. He takes flight to Japanese Ethiopia.
- His wife kills herself a week after his disappearance.
- The Rumite police in the area show up to his lodge and find the house abandoned and no trace of evidence of his whereabouts. Accusations are now being thrown at Zionists, Russia, Crimea, and the von Lichts.
- He has changed his name to Ferdinand Eichemann and taken up residence in Northern Ethiopia. He has married a Japanese woman he has known for two days, and the two intend to start a new family together, as she has escaped her father's abusive grasp in Somalia.
