Bitcoin to Asian yen: 1 yen for every 0.002 bitcoins. (aka 1 BTC = 500 yen)
Republican Russian ruble to Asian yen: 1 yen for every 0.88 Republican rubles
Imperial Russian ruble to Asian yen: 1 yen for every 0.91 Imperial rubles
Confederate Dollar to Asian yen: 1 yen for every 1.000006 Confederate dollar (almost 1:1)
British pound sterling to Asian yen: 1 yen for every 1.000005 British pound sterling (almost 1:1)
German Mark to Asian yen: 1 yen for every 0.99998 German marks (almost 1:1)

(The difference between the Mark, GBP, dollar and yen are almost indistinguishable, so they frequently trade in currency exchanges at 1:1.)

The ruble is a bit of a hard part considering that the OTL Russian ruble only exchanges at a 1:0.03 rate, so I put Alaska's exchange at that, and gave Russia a considerable boost.

Don't undervalue the Imperial ruble. Alaska has gold, silver, oil, natural gas, and uranium, which might tempt foreign countries to treat Alaska as most countries treat Taiwan- not necessarily recognizing it, but definently trading with it.

Seriously, though, why are both rubles so worthless? Russia is the premier member of one of the three major world alliances(the EAU, the other two being the AU and OAS), and both of them have shittons of resources.

I dunno, I was just going on present-day trading and I multiplied the ruble several times over (from 0.03 to 0.41), but I can adjust it even further, if you want.

Russia isn't exactly as despised in this timeline. I mean, the Republicans are close friends with the Ukrainians, and a Russian invasion of the Caucasus would be hailed as a liberation, not imperialism. And Alaska has a shitton of resources to sell.

The only reason why I'd trade them at 0.87 and 0.88 would be because of political instability in 1991, the revolution would shake the Russian ruble to shit probably. By 2014, they're starting to increase in currency exchanges. I've low-balled the yen as so not to make it a total wank, even though with the combined economies of most of Asia, it'd probably out-value European and American currency ten-fold.

But the currency exchanges practice a 1:1 policy on all the "Big Four" currencies -- the British Pound Sterling, Confederate States Dollar, Asian Union Yen and the German Mark. Maybe "Big Five", if the Canadian dollar is included.

(BTW: Would it be Goldmark, Reichsmark, Papiermark, or Mark?)

Currencies I could see as trading weaker than others:

- Italian lira
- Brazilian real
- Soviet ruble
- Czech koruna

Italy and Soviet Union are communist regimes, and therefore their economic system is rather ineffective in comparison to capitalist regimes. Capitalist investors would be discouraged to put money into those systems since they're mostly nationalized (that's what communism is, kids)

Czech koruna is because it's literally a nation entrenched in a Total War economy forever, since it literally sits at a DMZ with the Germans for over a century. Their currency is going to be horrendously weak on the stock markets. No chance for them.

The Brazilian real is because of the fact that most of South America would aggressively pursue alternatives to buying Brazilian goods since they all seem to hate the country. Brazilian real would be mid-grade strength probably, but not the goliath of South America, which would probably fall on "we-own-most-of-the-continent" Tawantinsuyu and "Che-Guevara-with-oil-fueled-war-machine" Venezuela.

The South American part of the OAS needs to get along. You're all members now. Literally- the only non-members on the American continents would be Russian Alaska, British Guyana, Dutch Suriname, and any tiny Caribbean islands Europe still controls. Canada, Quebec, the CSA, the Rio Grande, al-Mayiquh, Tehuantepec, the URCA, Tawantisuyu, Guyane, Venezuela, and Brazil are all members. Together we form one of the three great international alliances- if we don't destroy ourselves internally first.

But other than that, you agree with my suspicions on currency? The communist states and the Czechs would have ghastly exchange rates considering they're not proper economies.

ATL, probably since Portugal may be strategic to the Russians and Soviets? Also, I may make Portugal communist (Mouraterra (Canaries + Madeira) will be like OTL South Yemen until at least 1990, Portuguese Morocco's fate is unclear).

Were not purging Sunnis. But those who feel if the conversion will make them the minority vs andalites are being suggested to leave. That and this three (and four when Portugal joins) pronged civil war is displacing thousands of Sunnis and again is making andalites more powerful than Sunnis as the civil war allows them to gain more influence.

Portugal's admission(welcome in) basically means that membership is now a possibility for the following states:
Vasconia
Spain
Catalonia
Italy
France
Switzerland
Norway
Sweden
Great Britain(if not an AU member)

The only European countries that definently can't join are:
the Netherlands(AU member)
Rumite Empire(AU member)
Holy Roman Empire(claims Czechoslovakia)
Realm of the Magyars(claims Czechoslovakia)
Kingdom of Denmark(allied w/ Germany, Hungary)
