With the on-coming of the space travel boom, nations were born and killed early, but those with firm basings and good leadership have survived.
The Empire of Syrrinan, whose capital is the planet-spanning city of Greenstone, an empire spanning 35 systems is ruled by Emperor Sethan Marrin III. They worship the god of light, Benelux. The three houses are split up into three governorships: Beyn governs the naval productions of the empire, they are reknowned as some of the best naval commanders in the empire. Governing the Armies is House Carslile, hardy soldiers and brilliant tacticians, preforming some of the most outstanding shows of military force in the empire's history. Governing all is the Imperial House, House Marrin. Their worlds are the breadbaskets of the empire, but another less-known specialty of Marrin is their amazing Barristerian Spy Corps, named for one of the reknowned members of the 'Golden Family' of Marrin, back in 935 when they were still on earth.
However, their power is being challenged: A war has arisen as Eidil, the house that controls Earth and 14 other systems has rebelled. Their elite soldiers are the Legionnaires, tall, dark superhuman figures that are expertly trained and armored, but they shine purely in Melee. They also have knowledge of how to summon Daemons, and within their rebel area reside the sole experts on Daemonology, though knowledge is beginning to seep into Syrrinan through subversive methods, of how to combat daemons. Eidil has some of the best technology and they are silver-tounged when it comes to diplomacy and trickery. They are led by Chancellor Zso Sahaal.
Neighbors reside among the struggling superpowers, most notably to the south in the Great Dominion of Triverus, a facist dictatorship spanning 20 systems who are renowned for their armored might and planet-borne fighter strength, but they are starting to run dry on resources and the squabbling nations around them are looking fatter and more bloated with resources by the day. They are led by the Great Leader Grinwald Storbeck.
To the east of the struggling houses resides the United Socialist Systems of Arkinam, a communist superpower that draws its strength from the working proletariat among its worlds. It is reknowned for its massive resources, great within trade, but their reputation as a communist country diminishes their trading power, and they need more respect as a nation to be able to survive. Their leader is Proletarian Secretary Govoy.
The polar opposite of the USSA, the Intersystems Corporate Union to the west of the empire, just past eidil, are ruled by the Council of Corporations. They are a nation obsessed with consumer culture, and they are renowned for their economic might. However, due to their massively high obesity rates that are above 85 percent, they rely on drones to do their fighting for them, alongside Robotic Infantry and Remote-Controlled Combat Vehicles.
