Youth Correctional Facility
Introduction
Beginning construction in 1992, the South Hill Youth Correctional Facility was planned to be a massive, self-sustaining structure, capable of housing a total of 1500 inmates. Put in the middle of nowhere in the Yukon Territory, it was to be a prison for adult inmates. Ending construction in 1995, it housed inmates to full capacity until 2005, when it was shut down due to the massive upkeep budget it took to maintain, and pay the legion of correctional officers, and rising gang problems leading to a mass riot resulting in the death of 11 COs and 22 inmates.
Reopened in 2011 to be a Canadian prison.
By the end of the year, though, in a joint project between the USA and Canada, they began funding and using the prison jointly.
In 2012, the prison was converted to a youth correctional facility.
Made up of many 'Blocks'. Each Block is divided up into dorms, each dorm having 10 bunk beds. 20 cots in total. Each Block has 5 Dorms, a bathroom (the showers and toilets)
In this RP, you'll be an inmate at the brutal South Hill Youth Correctional Facility, where the gangs are ruthless and bloodthirsty, the COs corrupt.
Be prepared for your characters to be killed. And they can be killed.
When that happens, you can make a new character.
If you make dumb decisions, such as pissing off a rival gang member, you'll be targeted.
If you betray your gang, you'll be targeted.
If you're neutral, try to stay that way. The gangs are ruthless. And once you're in, you're in for life.
You spill blood to get in, you drip it to get out.
Plot
With the Sixers killing the leader of the Gorillaz, the Butchers made a temporary alliance with the Gorillaz, and are targeting members of the Sixers.
In a suprising move, the Sixers allied with the White Boyz, creating a full on free-for-all.
Gang members will be ordered around, like soldiers on a battle field.... or pawns on a chess board.
Non-aligned inmates have to find a way to survive, or get caught in the crossfire.
Blood will be spilled.

Gangs
Sixers: The South Hill Mob, although more commonly goes by the name 'the Sixers', is a young gang made up of ambitious and ruthless new inmates. After being formed in early 2013, they immediately began to fuck with the delicate balance of South Hill. They intruded on the Family's drug turf, and the Butcher's protection tax that they were taking off of the Family. The Sixers instigated the August riot in 2013, and killed the old leader of the Gorillaz. They're mostly made of blacks and Latinos. Popular tattoos are the number six, the letter 'S', and 'South Hill'. They're led by Alex Pierre (Black).
The Family: The gang that can "get you what'chu want", the Family is a mostly Asian gang that runs and imports drugs from the outside.Dealing mostly in cocaine, the Family is a profitable gang, and is run like a mafia, very secretive. They ally with the Butchers to protect them from the Sixers, their major drug rival. "Full blood" Asians only, although known to take on Latinos as Look Outs and Runners. Popular tattoos are of a yellow dragon, the number five, and a yellow five point star. Led by Matthew Kim (Asian).
The Butchers: One of the largest and oldest youth correctional gangs, the Butchers are a gang that usually gets what it wants. It can trace it's orgins back to a gnag coalition tying together several white and Latino groups in interest of mutual security from the mostly Asian Hounds of Hell and the white supremacist Brootz. The Butchers are made up entirely of whites and Latinos, allowing mixed race only if they have white or Latino in them. Popular tattoos are of a bloody cleaver and the letter 'B'. The are allies and protectors of the Family, and bitter rivals to the Sixers. Led by Mark Newman (White).
Gorrilaz: Founded when the prison was converted, the name 'Gorillaz' is a purposeful misspelling of 'Guerrillas'. They've had an open membership since their founding, finding larger numbers than their enemies at the time, but also suffered dissension within their own membership. The Gorillaz were led by Jason Tarwell until he was murdered by the Sixers three days before he was set to be released. Their signature attacks look like ambushes, usually catching important gang members (Hustlers, Runners, Shot callers) unawares, and beating them savagely. Membership has slacked as of recently, but this has only made the Gorillaz more vicious in their attacks. Popular tattoos are AK-47s, the letter 'G' and the number seven. The shot callers are going to meet to find their new leader. Either it's going to be de-facto, with a shot caller asserting his authority, or popular decision. Or, even more possible, the Gorrilaz will dissolve.
White Boyz: Whites only. Led by Hansel Cruzer (White). Deals and runs drugs. Huge rivals with the Gorillaz. Popular tattoos are SS bolts and the letter 'W'. WiP
Anarchists: This is a gang of five 17 year olds, that have been here at South Hill for a relatively short time. But they are all repeat offenders. The Anarchists supply almost all of the weapons you will see at South Hill, and instigate most of the riots as well. All of them have the Anarchist A on their foreheads. Every gang depends on them for weapons, so people will be willing to take a little shit for their crew. (NPC)
