Why? The resolution can be edited you know, and i'm sure the UK would be happy about it, they wouldn't want Iranian soldiers staying in Syria

(We want Iran to be entirely uninvolved; not a single Iranian soldier. The resolution specifically gives an excuse for Iranian 'liberation'.
Now, no more OOC in IC.)

This sort of thing should be discussed here, in the OOC it would get lost. Anyways, ture the resolution says that. but on the other hand, if the resolution doesn't passes the Iranian troops won't leave. Iran already whiped out most of the rebels and terrorists so its already to late to whine about Iranian troops. As the UK you should have done that a long time ago.

United Nations Security Session

[Resolution Number:(0-10156844)]

Preamble

RECOGNIZING the danger of igniting a global conflict by unilaterally invading other states

COMMITTED to solving issues through diplomacy and not violence

APPALLED at the ease with which Russia and Iran have violated the sovereignty of other states in blatant contravention of international law

DEMANDING that such actions be condemned and the aggressors immediately cease fire and return to negotiations

What you propose?

s1. Russia and Iran will immediately halt military operations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar or other recently invaded Middle Eastern states

s2. Russia, Iran and other affected states will immediately convene an emergency conference after hostilities have ceased in a neutral country to be determined by all parties.

s3. A ceasefire will be drafted up and no territory will be lost to any state involved in the conflict, returning to status quo ante bellum.

s4. If the above conditions are met, the UN will assist affected states and no further action will be taken by the Security Council against the aggressors.

s5. If the above conditions are not met, the UN will immediately dispatch a peacekeeping force to guarantee the sovereignty of the victim states.

What should we expect if this is enacted?

If this resolution is enacted, Russia and Iran will either cease hostilities with no further repercussions or be faced with a UN peacekeeping force in combat if they persist their advances.

Signed,

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

The Islamic Republic of Iran votes No, Sating that multiple solutions cannot be solved by one resolution. The resolution also lacks action against the countries that are being invaded. Iran will not retreat unless these countries get punished for their actions.

Japan would be open to suggestions for revisions, but urges haste as many people are currently dying and the world is on the brink of war.

So far, the resolution allows for no consequences for Iran/Russia for their actions if they immediately stop offensive operations and proceed with negotiations. What further concessions are needed to halt the conflict and pass this resolution?

Peter Wittig stands up, and speaks: The Consequences toward the Federation of Russia and Iran are fine, however, the effects of the treaty on the nations is much too weak, Germany, a now peaceful nation, for the most part anyway, is restricted to military numbers that are far from sufficient in today's world. These nations must A: Restrict military numbers or not have a standing military. and B: Force all terrorist style forces out of the country.

The United States Ambassador opens up.

"The USA does recognize the problem that this posses to the region, and does wish to action to come for those that tend to do it a injustice, but this resolution lacks how exactly this will be plotted out, and what will happen to the countries that were invaded? As this is mainly just a direct action against Russia and Iran, we need to draw up how to actually bring the other states in the region in line with this as well. And for that, the United States Abstains".

"With all due respect, Japan directs the American representative to Section 5 for how the resolution will be implemented. Countries that were invaded will have their original borders restored, by a UN peacekeeping force if necessary. A neutral country will mediate talks between affected parties. Japan pleads for the international community to act now, the finer details can be worked out once we get all parties to cease fire and talking. As it stands now, civilian casualties are mounting."

"We are looking to the Economic situation of it all. Even if we do step in, there is nothing here to compensate either side for their losses, it is just to stop the foreign troops, and if necessary bring war from a international effort into a region that may not want it. So hence, we wish to abstain".
