So, yeah.. that RP I had in mind didn't really take off. Anyone got a good fantasy/adventure RP that they're running and have an open slot in?
Because sometimes even national leaders just want to hang out

RP's Overarching Concept: A race of magical people are the Earth's only defense against an impending demonic invasion.
Genre/s:Fantasy, academy(is that a genre)?, contemporary fantasy.
Character or Faction Based: character
Detailed Description: Without all the backstory: a race of semidevine people called the Nephillim are the Earth's only hope against an invasion from Sheol, the realm
of the Otherworld where daemons come from. The best and brightest Nephillim are gathered and taught at Poe Academy, a secret magik school near N`awlins.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: The basic premise is that an Alien Invasion in 1989 has brought the world to a stand-still. Nations are scrambling to mobilize their Arsenal of Weapons as the alien menace approaches.
Genre/s: Sci-Fi, Alternate History, Action, a little bit of drama
Character or Faction Based: A mix of both
Detailed Description: The basic premise is that an Alien Invasion in 1989 has brought the world to a stand-still. Nations are scrambling to mobilize their Arsenal of Weapons as the alien menace approaches. An enemy that knows no fear, no emotion, and no mercy. An enemy that doesn't know the word: Surrender. The Story will largely explore the years Immediately after the Initial Invasion, and the Immediate resistance of the Human race, as nations band together. Tossing aside religious, Ideological, and Ethnic differences to face a common enemy. An enemy that only has one thing in mind: Our Extinction.
Need Help With: Getting attention to it, some feedback, and of course, advise. and questions if you have any

In fact, it is more of a societal shunning of all who use such archaic tools that will be a key factor.
Here's the idea, roll back about two hundred years, and somehow some massive changes were made in how we thought of electricity that we accidentally became more further advanced in the usage of alternative energy source like wind and water turbines alongside solar panels, that coal and other fossil fuels were rendered obsolete within the next few decades and by the 1900's, coal was a thing of the far past.

What's the source of this energy? Magic? Mutant powers? Electromagnetism requires a source.

Voldemort is about to kill everyone when a team of badass American motherfuckers shows up, led by a muscular arch-mage who dual wields wands and eats bald eagles for breakfast.

I'm now thinking about an ultra redneck wizard holding off death eaters with a .44 in one hand and a wand in the other.

Why go to London? Keep it across the pond and throw in a Chuck Norris-flavored bad guy?

Yeah, I was debating on whether or not to keep it in London or go to the US, the US just doesn't have that "magical" feel to it like an older country like England has. But I don't see any reason why we couldn't have it in the US otherwise.

I get the feeling that the US South would probably have one of the lowest concentration of wizards per km2 in the world.
