If you know of any reference websites beside wikipedia, which can provide information on troop types, numbers, types of weapons, please share the link so everyone can also use it for reference. I intend to use numbers as close to realistic as can be allowed given the technology used. This RP will start in the Bronze Age and run into the Space Age. As OP, I will also play the role of 'God', inflicting rebellions, plagues, famines, barbarian invasions-and also Golden Ages, breakthroughs in navigation, warfare, science, architecture. There will also be certain areas that cannot be claimed, that will serve as NPNs which I as OP, along with any CO-OPs I choose, will guide (but not RP as). My CO-OPs will also have the 'God' role so as far as any participants are concerned, the OP and CO-OPs are God and not to be trifled with, lest we invoke a deadly plague upon you
I will select three participants to serve as CO-OP with the stipulation that any discussions to be had as to what to invoke in the thread be held here, or through telegram.
RP Rules are as follows:
1) NO metagaming - this includes developing technology before the invocation of such a breakthrough has happened.
2) NO GMing massive armies. Use the internet to your advantage in laying out your troop numbers and keep in mind your current tech levels. Remember that only I as OP or a CO-OP with the general consent of the rest can invoke the tech breakthrough.
3) NO excessive OOCs in the IC thread. That's what this thread is for.
4) NO making up fictional/fantasy nations. Use the empires provided. Rest assured once the point is reached when more of the world is open, more empires will be made available.
5) DO NOT be absent from the IC thread longer than three (3) days. If you are going to be out of town, let myself or a CO-OP know here or through telegram and arrangements can be made to 'hold' your empire for a period of five (5) days. If you do not post again in three days, or if out of town by the time you return, then your empire is open to any variety of calamities. If you are currently at war with an opponent nation, then it'll be assumed that your armies have collapsed and your opponent will be able to occupy your capital. If you return soon after this has happened, it'll be up to the OP or CO-OP to decide how to bring you back to the thread, either as an available new empire or as a rebel movement within your occupied former empire.
If you wish to create a flag for your empire, or use one from wikipedia, you can. I feel that it gives an empire-real or fictional-more of an identity.

All empires will start with 5 territories. It is up to the players to expand their empires and acquire more territories.
Keep in mind, should your empire be conquered by an opposing nation, you have the option to form a rebel faction with your survivors. Just because your empire is conquered does not mean your participation comes to an end.
The second part of the thread will come later, and offer a larger choice of empires for players. The above list will be expanded once that point is reached. The OP (me) and CO-OPs will come to a unanimous decision as to when to advance to the next decade/century, but all wars cannot last longer than two (2) decades.
Interested players wishing to serve as CO-OP can telegram me directly. If you choose to accept the role, you must stick to it. If there is a situation that could potentially take you away from the thread for a given period of time, post in this thread so that I might find a way to replace you without grinding the IC thread to a halt.
I recommend collecting your first five territories around the area of the capital (use wikipedia if you need help with that).

No armies of 1 million or larger will be accepted and you cannot start with a large army as your empire is starting small. 500,000 is the maximum limit for now.
