With the AWRP and LAVMEO RP groups as well as many revivals of RP circles from my earliest days here, it seems RP groups are the new fad.

Yeah, not really.

Anyway, pursuant to a TG about the idea (and remarking on my oft noticed presence in most historical RPs), I decided to put the idea of a historical RP group out there, and whether it would gain much support or flop like a frozen banana on a hot day.

Basically, it would be an RP group where we can all invite each other to various historical RPs, as well as AW and AH RPs set in the past, or something similar. Use your common sense. We'd also found RPs for the RP group though they'd be open to others, depending on group support and various ideas, discuss RPs, ideas and other rubbish, and potentially have an RP group exclusive RP or two.

Would you join? Is it a good idea? Do you have any suggestions? Do you want any more detail? Was my simile terrible?

What do you mean by "historical RP"? How is this any different from the AWRP group or LAVMEO? Are you talking about strategy RPs or character RPs?

It's different because it focuses solely on historical; no MT, no FT, no crazy rubbish from outer space, etc.
