The History of Mankind
The Medieval Period

Heridos
A new era was fast approaching for the Evrisdom of Ostyrlonia, as times were beginning to change. And today, the largest change will be witnessed. Kermin, who will forever be known as Kermin the Terrible, was in the middle of a cobblestone street as the sun began to rise. Several monks were near the Temple of Erhman, spreading the Word of Erhmanity. Farmers were bringing their bushels of wheat to the markets to sell for their families. And then there was Evris Augustyn, who was riding on a horse in bright armor. "Now or never," he thought.

Even though the Evris was surrounded by guards, he pulled out a concealed dagger and threw it at Augustyn, striking him in the neck. "Tyrannis mortem, ad mortem Ostyrlonia!" cried out Kermin as he began to run from the guards.

Augustyn soon died of his wounds, leaving the military to find not only a killer, but a new heir to the Ostyr thrown. The country was now in turmoil once again.

The religion was renamed as The Sun with the deep symbolism connection to the Shogun itself. The establishment of Warrior Monks are in process. This religious zealots will be able to spread the religion with force to the Nampuyeo. The monks are trained in the ways of chi and buddhism and in no way able to be converted into another religion, although the threat of rebellious way of The Moon is encroaching.

An unknown yet powerful mixture was found during one of the development for the fire-breathing ship. For now, more research is needed. The mixture will be use for the upcoming religion festival to celebrates the birth of the Shogun and the religion itself.

Heridos, Evris' Palace
A group of aristocrats and other persons of political power began to convene around a table, centered in the palace of Augustyn. "This is outragous," yelled out an aristocrat, "We cannot just have any ol' peasent walking around the streets, dagger in hand, and mercylessly slaughter a man in cold blood!" The aristocrat finished his opinion by slamming his fist on the table, making more people convinced that this was a man that they should follow.

"You're wrong," said a warrior from across the table, "The problem's not with the peasents and surfs, it's with the guards of the Evris! They were bafoons, they didn't even TRY to protect him! And that is why Augustyn's blood is flowing down the street as everyone mourns the passing of yet another Evris! And now, I have a good enough point to ju-" He was silenced as a monk opened the door.

"Foolish Ostyrlonians," he said in a low voice, "It is obvious that Semn, Erjam and Lord Erhman have damned this nation to eternal suffering in *Harzeth! There is only one way, and one way only that this nation can recover from these harsh times... and that is by making all of the sinners and Ardovicians living in Ostyrlonia burn at the stake for condemning the country to an eternal Harzeth...is the only way to purify this country once more..."

Everyone around the table, except for a couple of aristocrats, began to nod, as the idea was good enough that they would try it. "It's a sound idea," said a warrior, "And we will accept it. You are now our Evris..."

"Treim is my name," said the monk in a higher tone than before.

"Yes, my Lord, you are now Evris Treim, ruler of Ostyrlonia and her provences!" Everyone around the table stood up and clapped as the monk bowed before them all.

"Don't clap for me," he said, "Clap for yourselves, as the days in Harzeth are numbered for Ostyrlonia..."

Skjar
"Kill the barbarians, at all costs!" Scandin hordes began to poor in to Skjar and the mining town across the bay. The buildings were beginning to burn as Remitis ran through the streets, trying to get soldiers to kill the heathens. However, it was all in vain, as the barbarians burned down both Skjar, the Mining Town across the Bay, and killed Remitis. Those who survived the attacks fled to the Ostyrlonian farming territory in Scandin, sending them scattering throughout the territory.

North & Western **Errynpa
Soldiers and surfs alike began to march to the north and to the west of Ostyrlonia, spreading the influence of Ostyrlonian culture to the un-cultured Heathens of Errynpa and the word of Erhmanity to the pagans living outside of Ostyrlonian borders. Soldiers marched throughout the woods and fields of the area whilst peasents and surfs began to set up homes and villages as the Ostyrlonian Influence continued to grow over Errynpa.

With newfound Rylonian imperialism, the Impirren made a bold move.

"This land, South of Sicily, should be ours!" He said. "It is right near of core territories and should be under Rylonian occupation."
So he sent a letter to King Hamilcar Barca of Canaan.

"oh Great King of...." He giggled too much to continue.

"Alright, alright, for real now." He said laughing.

Dear the Great King of Canaan,

It has come to my attention that you occupy a territory that is rightfully Rylonian. The cape that is closest to Sicilia. Now, I would like it if you merely handed it over, so please do so.

Sincerely,
Riley Soto, Impirren of Rylonia.

The naval forces have been sent out under the command of Korus Loopas and Fissure Munilo. Koras led an advance to the west to a large island which had been under surveillance for a great time. He brought a good portion of their advanced (for the area) military, about 5%. Another went to what is now the Southern peninsula of Florida, 5% of the military as well. 50% were led by Matok Luneo, the leader and greatest fighter, South, to take the provinces. The forces captured half of what is now Cuba, two provinces to the south, and the Floridian tip.

To: Riley Soto, Impirren of Rylonia
I am NOT king of Canaan, and do not refer to me as such. I am the elected Minister of Foreign affairs. If you wish to speak to the king, you would have to redirect your letter to a dead man deposed over fifty years ago.

However, as I handle Foreign Affairs, I will tell you this much: The Council will not be pleased once they next convene. If you value peace, you will withdraw immediately and allow us to keep the land which is rightfully ours.

From: Hamilcar Barca, Minister of External Affairs

OOC: Let me explain my government form. I have a semi-democratic republic. Three executive officers are appointed to five-year terms by the Council of One Hundred and One. There are the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of External Affairs, and the Minister of the Armed Forces. The Council is also the legislative body, passing laws and such. It's pretty much a parliament. They are elected to five year terms. All people have a vote, but the people are divided into three strata by wealth: Rich, Poor, and Middle. The votes of rich men count as much as those of the poor, those of the middle classes count for two, and those of the lower classes count as one.

Well, My apologies. I didn't know democracies still existed.

If I value peace?!?! Well, I don't believe you have any idea what the Rylonian military is capable of, I thought you'd be understanding that a territory with Rylonian culture and relgion should be under Rylonian control. But I guess not. Now, please reconsider your answer.

▓▫The Queendom of Mosuo▫▓

摩梭

Quilxi (Quanzhou)
It has been many years, and the dreams of Queen Xing Shuxing were unfortunatly not fulfilled. Soon, her time passed, and now here we are, about a few hundred years later. However, it seems that the now legendary Xing Shuxing was not left before magnificent growth. It was because of her that the Matriarchy grew into such prosperity. However, it appeared that her ideas were a bit... sexist. Even though the country was balanced in gender, girls became more favouried than boys. Xing Shuxing didn't wanted this, but she had no choice but to push forward.

Xing's accomplishments was the discovery of gold in the kingdom, that had caused the larger cities to build up even more. Paper currency was beginning to be used more around the kingdom than coins due to their light weight capabilities, and later after Xing's death, the kingdom blossomed into a golden age. Quilxi became a really prosperous city, but it seems the neighboring city about 40 miles northeast of Quilxi named Daolong Fo (Guangzhou) was growing even larger than the capital itself.

----
Now, in the present, under Queen Xing Shiamei, had a major ambition. She wanted to show the Mosuo strength, and expand to create an Empire of her own. Therefore. she had begun conscripting troops of 13,500 to build a bit more larger army. The Queen wanted to have more territory to have more resoruces, and perhaps establish trade with a neighboring empire, if any spring out.

Shiamei though, did not share the benevolence that her ancestor had, and since she's only been on the throne for a week, people can already see the change approaching the kingdom that might revolutionize and possibly, show harshness on the people. In addition, this lady of 27 years of age thought that men were inferior and should only be used for housework, reproduction, dancing and cooking. In addition to this new type of rule, there is also some religions making their seat to the plate. Daoism has begun to take a major hit to the population, and it's said that nearly half of the country is Daoist. It's said that a woman named Manutaius had arrived from the South-wet and had spread her teachings to the people of Mosuo, but the country still remained mostly Daoist, but now, Manutaiusism had begun to spread.

In the Fields of Feasting
Kief* Allowat Sakima scuffed his feet in the sand. It was his first day as the new Kief of Noquet and the weight of power was on his shoulders. He could literally feel it, or it might have just been the fancy armor he was wearing. Playing around with the scepter in his hand he heard the bells. He looked up and saw a young boy enter into his hut. He slowly lifted his hand as to signal for Sakima to follow. And so he did. He followed the boy out of the hut and down through the forest. The sounds of the drums and flute ringed in his ears. The emotions of the ceremony could be felt even when he wasn't present. Following the young boy, he walked up to the raised mound in the center of the crowd. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of people stood around him as he ascended. The cheers and cries of his people echoed over the open field. Glaringly the crowed glared upon the jeweled scepter as he raised it about his head. The crowd fell silent. "Today I take upon myself, the people of the valley. The people who fought and who have lived to see another day. And today we shall, as we have no worries. Today the spirits will guide us as our people march across the land that we so rightfully own. Noquet!" The crowed screamed back, "Noquet!" And then the day of feasting began.

A month later at the Kief's Council
"It's obvious that we need to be more prepared. Look at our men. Our numbers are limited. We only have 15,000 warrior and could only pull another 5,000 if needed. We need a bigger army!" The elder was up in flames about this. He was once the War Chief many years ago when Noquet was at least twice its size. He wouldn't tolerate anything but such, and with a new Kief he was getting angry. "If you want to be remembered son, you're gonna need to take all the land in the K'hoo**."
Kief Allowat Sakima looked around the room. He glanced over the faces of the men and women who had sat at this table many times more than he. "Fine, I will put it up to a vote. You have say here long before I have, tell me what I must seek." And with that the formal voting process began. The Chief of Numbers rose and began to count hands as Sakima left the room. He walked out and leaned against the wooden logs. Not long ago had he just been a boy playing by the fire with his brothers, now he was managing a nation, and a rather small one at that. His great-grandfather, Misteku Sakima had ruined the nation. As Kief he had fought many a war and had played at the spirits hands for years. But in one false move he lost everything. The nation that once extended far south had fallen to the fierce barbarians. Now all that was left was the capital and its surroundings. Sakima was being forces to take up the gambeling glove of Misteku and expand his nation. If he succeeded he would not only gain more people for his army, but more power and wealth, and who couldn't go for some more wealth. Someone graded his shoulder mid-ponder. With a quick turn he saw the Chief of Numbers before him, "We have decided. Might you join us?" With this he walked back in. The Chief of Numbers explained, "It has come to us that it is best if we expand. You have left it in the hands of the Chief and we have decided. Make haste as you march our man. Rally all that you can and expand. Today we begin our return to the world's makhu***."

Cheo-Qua Mansion of Chiefs, 906 AD
The Chief of Farms sat in his room messing with papers and the likes when he heard a knock. He looked up from his desk to see a courier dressed in exotic clothes standing in his door way. With no idea what to make of it, he invited the man in. Surprisingly the man spoke Nokish, the language of Noquet. "And who might I make this pleasure too?"
"I am Kowhun of Tyril. Tyril is a small land far south of here, once part of the land of Noquet under Kief Misteku Sakima. We come with gifts. To you we owe many thanks as Noquet gave the people of Tyril a purpose to unite. We bring you wagons of corn and potatoes, traded from many nations." The courier pulled out of his pocket a small poach and set it on Chief of Farms' desk. With that he turned around and was about to leave when he was halted, "Stop, there's no rush. You have done a great favor to Noquet. Come and drink." The young courier smiled. He had been on the road for many months and was glad to stop and take a break.

Council of Kings, Loidis

The Guard Captain, who spoke Ostrylonian, shouted back down to the Ostrylonian diplomats, once more in near-perfect Ostrylonian "The Council wishes to see you now! Please follow our guards to the Council chambers, within the Palace!" The Guard Captain then ordered his men to open the gates, and headed back to Edwyn IV - the current High King of Elmet. Alongside him were the Kings and Queens of the various states which formed the Kingdom. There was many powerful men and women situated in a single room, surrounded by the best of the best guards.

The King of Pictland, a half-Pict named Malcom II, rose from his seat. "Your Majesty" he said. "The Picts grow weary of Elmetian rule... I suggest we double our efforts to encorperate them into Elmet. Perhaps offer them lower taxes?" The High King chuckled. "If the Picts know whats good for their people, they won't rebel."

The Guard Captain stuttered into the Council, and said "The Ostrylonian diplomats are here, your majesty" The High King smiled. "Excellent. You are dismissed."

Zarduq Tribal Lands
Another sun rose upon the steppes of the Zarduq. Herders and Hunters had already departed their camps for the fields, mounting horses, traveling in groups, and singing songs, mostly of women and horses. Hunters usually went solo into the wilds, but when boars were near, large groups would depart en mass, hoping to return to camp with a boar of their own. Killing a boar was a symbol of manhood among the Zarduq, particularly because the boar were very rare, and they were very important to the God of Sky and Hunt, Xanthi. Xanthi had lead the Zarduq to the lands they currently occupy, away from their traditional homeland in the southern deserts. Now, it seemed that Xanthi wanted the Zarduq to move once again. The boars, messengers of Xanthi, had shown less near the Arial Sea, and they had began to show more towards the Caspian. Xainthi wanted the Zarduq to move west, and finally find a place to call home.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate idealistic egalitarian with many strong convictions.

The Caliphate had become prosperous in the years since the ancient era. Cobblestone roads were spread over the Caliphate, making travel easier then before. Religious temples were spread by monks of the Jsyci order who lived by the sword and died by the prayer.

The population now was 1.6 million, and Caliph Mussaya IV who was a descendant of the old Caliph oversaw a grand cultural revolution.

Paintings and sculptures adorned houses and streets, new technology was rapidly increasing farmer's yields and more gold was in the hands of ordinary folk.

Loidis
Dremecles and his guards bowed before the High King. As they rose, Dremecles tried to do what he could to communicate with the man. "Greetings, Lord," said Dremecles, "I am Dremecles, a colonist who hails from the north of here. We are here to see if our two nations could, perhaps, come to some sort of agreement over an allience. Before I continue with details and such, would you be willing to ally with Ostyrlonia?"

Heridos
As Treim approached his throne, he bowed before it and prayed to Erhman. He prayed for Ostyrlonia to be lifted up and out of Harzeth and in to *Tryskidam, where the Evrisdom would remain for the centuries to come. He rose slowly from his bow and sat in the throne. From the chair, he looked upon guards and his aides, who lined the room. He looked at all of them as he slowly began to think.

"I have had a vision," he said, "And that vision is an Ostyrlonian Errynpa. And Ostyrlonian Errynpa where we are not contested by any other Ardovician, Rylonian, or what other countries are here! We, Ostyrlonians, under the guidence of Semn, Erjam and Lord Erhman, are free and control the land! We all spread the word of Erhman to the Uninlitened Ones across the Continent so that one day, they may be able to see the light and come under our control! I, my brothers, I envision this but it is only a vision in vain... that is, until today!" The Evris stood from his throne and walked to the closest guard, Eristes of Gyrium, the Military Commander of Ostyrlonia.

"You, sir," he said, "It is imperitive that you listen to what I am about to tell you, as without this land, an Enlightened Errynpa will only be but a dream! You must expand to Eastern Errynpa to enlighten the Heathens who inhabit those lands! If you are unable to do this, then the most difficult step in our hopes of a world that Erhman would be proud of will be wanning quickly. First, go to the North-East, claim as much land for Ostyrlonia, for Erhman, and keep it from those Ardovician sinners! If they even get close to our territory, either enlighten them or destroy them"

Eristes bowed before the Evris, with a two-handed battle axe in hand, and said "Aye, my Evris. Eastern Errynpa will be under our control by the year's end" Eristes of Gyrium then began to rally troops in the barracks and prepared for a long march to the north east. Eristes only imagined how much land he might be able to claim for Erhman through this campeign.

The sound of leather sandals clattering was heard in the Southernmost province, it signified 10,000 footsoldiers in lamellar and turbans were on the march. The Caliph hoped for them to reach the Southern lands of the land on which they lived, he after all had financed the conquests.

Soon they left the city, which was now a dot on the shining fields of golden sand.

The Chieftain was walking towards the elders house on the other side of the village. He was only 14 years of age, so the elders were constantly advising him on how to lead the tribe. The Rynaains were unique on the coast. They controlled an area from the foothills of the Havan Gre in the East (Sierra Nevada mountains), to the redwood forests in the North, all the way to Feren Bay (Monterey) in the South. But it was all centered around the village of Surana. It was the village where the Chieftain lived, in his long-house.

"Gitenhavin," The Chieftain said to the elders.

"Hello" They said back.
"I have come for a reason, as always, I need advice."
"Of course! Come, sit." said Reren, the eldest Elder. He was almost 79 years of age. He was the reason why the average age in Rynaain was 23, and not 22.

After sitting in the circle, "How do I deal with the men attacking the North? I mean they seem so savage! I cannot trade with them, they don't seem to be attacking for a reason, only for the sake of it!" He cried.

"Hmmm.... Yes, I do believe that they cannot be reasoned with. I am afraid that this may be one of the few situations where war is the answer."

"Do you think so?"

"Yes....."

"Well then, I think I know what to do."
yee haw it's time for mass line

To: Riley Soto, Impirren of Rylonia
I understand what the Rylonian military can do. You do not seem to understand what Canaan can do. We have a fleet numbering thousands of ships, and admirals who are ingenious, well taught, and audacious enough to conquer with it. What if we were to cut all imports of goods for one year- Just one year!- to your nation. Your people would starve. Do you think that you can survive for years eating only that olive oil you love so much? And what if your noblemen were to have no silk or spices from the east? They would find another claimant to the throne to replace you. What if your army no foreign iron? You would not even be able to fight us but with sharpened sticks. The Alps to your north and the great distances filled with barbarians mean that you would not be able to trade overland.

In addition, this land is not of the Rylonian culture in any way. The people there speak their own strange, barbarous tongues. Even if they were to speak Rylonian, what of it? They could speak gibberish, and the land would still be ours. We claimed it before you. Now leave it. The Council has convened, and is deciding what to do as we speak. War may soon follow, if you do not heed our warnings.

From: Hamilcar Barca, Minister of External Affairs

The Council of One Hundred and One convened. At the same time, the navy was put on guard and the army began to recruit mercenaries. War was coming.

Heilig Königreich Jerusalem

Gott Mit Uns

Long ago, there existed the Creator, the God. Just as there was no beginning or end of the existence, there was no beginning or end of the Maker. It was not " always there " for it was the there. It was the universe, the combination of things that were, and ever will be - the fabric of the echos of things that was to exist pressing through time and space. The God, had no gender. It was both the Mother and the Father. The Giver and the Receiver. The Mother held the prosperous olive branch, while the Father held the sword, but they were one - two sides of the same power.

Then there were the Sons and Daughters. Deceiving, as like the God they were always there, waiting to given the Spark and to brought to consciousness, but having been given the Spark, a piece of The Holy God itself to be awaken, they were it's offspring. And being the offspring off the Lord, The King and Emperor they were known as the Princes and Princesses. but unlike their Holy Mother and Father, they had naught but one side and one element. The Dual Princes of Fire and Earth and the Dual Princesses of Water and Air. And so they lived.

Image

And the Offspring of the God wished to pass on the Spark, and so descended from them came The Spawn. The Offspring and the God created the elements in a physical form, and soon enough The Kingdom of Heaven was formed among the Stars and that was good. And in the Kingdom of Heaven, there was known no hunger or famine or illness or death. Men lived forever and stayed young forever.

Yet The Spawn grew envious, and greedy and The Spark instead them became corrupted and Dark and soon the now miserable creatures stormed the Palace of the Creator and it's Pure Offspring. They were driven back soundly, though they dealt a Grevious blow to the Divine Creator. Before The Maker fell into a deep slumber he ordered the treasonous Spawn to be nailed to the Holy Crosses, the four jutting parts of it representing the virtue of the four good Offspring - the Princes and Princesses.

The tears and bloods and flesh of the Spawn fell from the crosses and through the heavens, The Spark, corrupted and imperfect as it may have been - still shifted into The Earth, and the trees and animals - and farmost, the Humans. It is said upon death, a pious human is cleansed of the Corrupted Spark, which becomes the Pure Spark and join the four good Offspring in the remains of The Kingdom of Heaven. Those leading hateful and unholy lives are sent to the parts of the Kingdom of Heaven that were corrupted by The Spawn and sealed off from the rest, going through hundreds of years of torture before their spirits are sent to Earth in another, usually inferior form to try again and be pious.

Finally virtuous heretics and believers who were not particular either pious or sinful, experience both heaven and the corrupted heaven and are also cast back down.

After the God fell into a slumber, the Four Princes and Princesses banded together and created The Holy Quadrumvirate, which reigns in The God's stead. It is said when all descandants of The Spawn convert to the True Faith and significant numbers become pious, God we be reawakened by their dedication and recreate the Kingdom of Heaven ever more glorious then before.

Thus, religion being known as Quadrumviratism and it's followers calling themselves Viratists. The Religion itself is also often called Virtatism for short.

- High Clergy on Quadrumviratism

900 A.D

A group of horses kicked up dust in Piemro.** It's riders baring the golden cross and eagle upon their tunics. The armored men elicted fearful stares from the local populace as they rode to the Kurzan quarters of the city. In the Kingdom of Jerusalem the ethnic Kurzan settlers from Kurz proper were relentlessly seperated from the local arabic population. The Kurzan quarters were almost a different city, having a combination of gothic architecture from newer buildings, and an arabic theme from older buildings that the Kurzan settlers drove the original inhabitants out.

However, today the gates of the Kurzan quarters were partially destroyed and scorched, and a few corpses still littered the ground. The horses stopped. Hochmeister Reinhard Von Ricther of the Teutonic Order glanced to the side, to the pitful moans of crucified heretics. They deserved it, he thought bitterly. Twenty thousand of the heathens rose up in anger over the Kurzan dominance of the city and attempted to storm the Kurzan quarters. Over twelve thousand arabics died, and three more thousand were massly crucified - their pained cries filling the air of the city for days to come - a example to those who would dare defy the Holy Quadrumvirate. A thousand soldiers died in driving the peasant army off however, and three hundred German settlers also were slain

Efforts to show the arabic population the light and to fully root out heresy continued. Two thousand deaths from the Inquisition were estimiated, and many heathen religious items and books were publicly burned - however a few were confiscated by the High Clergy as having possibly useful information besides the religious. The deaths and the Inquisition caused agricultural production from the Nile region to decrease slightly, however unlike in other medieval states, the results were not any more disasterious then defaulting on several grain trading orders. When the Kurzan settlers arrived, they brought a particular * giant * breed of rabbit with them from Ardovicia. The rabbits were docile, flexible in diet and bred extremely quickly.

With the large agricultural output from the fertile Nile region and the lack of any sort of winter in the Middle East meant that there was always a surplus, and the population rarely went hungry. This, along with The Kingdom of Jerusalem being viewed as a sanctuary for the followers of the Quadrumvirate and Crusaders often bringing along their families meant that the Kurzan population swelled.

Meanwhile, a small advance was launched by the Teutonic order, capturing swaths of land and several cities down the nile ( two provinces ) and a small amount of land on the coast of Western Egypt ( one province ) though significant advances were delayed by internal problems, this had the fortunate side effect of forcing The Kingdom of Heaven to slow down on it's conquests and consolidate it gains more.

Rumors of The Order gathering forces in a Levant for another massive Crusade travels across Europe....

Medus Orrian, 150 years ago

Shaika roared as his warriors cheered with him. Medus had just won another war against the tribes to the south. Licking the blood off his sword, he gulped savagely, and turned to his new slaves; 10 young, beautiful virgins. Considering which to defile first, he grabbed the youngest, scarcely 12 years old, and began to beat her, pulling off her skirt…

Shaika fell backwards, off the high stone, and onto the dirt below. He was blinded! Screaming in agony, he clutched at his eyes. Suddenly, the sun had flashed into his eyes, and now he could not see! Cursing the gods, he was assisted to his feet by two of his warriors. In just a moment, the mighty Shaika, thrown to the dust? Unthinkable!

Wailing, and on the verge of tears, Shaika almost grabbed a knife to stab himself. About the plunge the blade into his stomach, his hand was stopped. An unfamiliar man, whom he had never met had grabbed his wrist.

“Brother. Do not destroy yourself so. Instead, look to the skies, and plead for mercy. Beg the sun, the creator and the beginning and end for a second chance, and perhaps you may receive.” the man said in a smooth, reassuring voice.

“GIVE ME BACK MY EYES!” Shaika wailed. “I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR MY EYES! LET ME SEE!” He fell to his knees, sobbing softly, raising his arms to the sun. And with that, his eyes blinked open. One blink by one, ever so slowly, he could, once again, see!
In awe, he turned to the stranger, a strange white skinned man with long, brown hair.
“Wh-who are you?” Shaika questioned, softly. “Th-That...”
“I am but a brother.” and before Shaika could ask him another question, he already left the camp, gone into the woods, never to be seen again.

Medus Orrian, Present 900 A.D.

It had been over 100 years since Shaika’s reign. And now, his name was forever forgotten, and know, he was known as the Highest Philosopher. He had introduced Unipanism, the religion that believed that the Sun was the creator, and that to reach eternal paradise, one had to genuinely care for his brothers and sister, all human beings as one. Denying slavery, denying war, Shaika had turned around, into a man of true integrity, trying his hardest to live a life of total peace and compassion. And with his leadership, dozens of other tribes and voluntarily joined into his confederation, until soon, the entire region was under the influence of the new religion.

The confederacy had been shaken only 50 years ago by Shaika’s nephew, Solas, who tried to reform the religion. Killed for his efforts, not only was Solas viewed as a martyr, but hailed as the Sun itself, the physical embodiment, punished from trying to save mankind. Ascending to paradise into the High Philosopher's arms, the very spillage of his blood had been the foundations of Kompas Lin, the center of the entire confederacy and its religion. Now, the confederacy was a republic, led by democratically elected shamans. And the religion was the most prominent aspect of Unipan society.

Possessing steel working and advanced irrigation techniques, the Unipans were envied by its many neighbors, but the Unipans never engaged in wars of conquest. Any attacks upon the Unipan fortresses were easily repelled by Unipan longbows and stone walls, and their swords were certainly to be envied. The 310,000 Unipans there were lived comfortable lives; virtually nobody lived in poverty, and beggars were gifted generously. The church encouraged scientific advancement, and already, the Unipans were beginning their forays into advanced medicine and algebra. Unipa had only worry about one thing..

The Barbarians.

To the south of the Confederacy, scouts reported disturbing amounts of barbarian activity. Sooner or later, the attack would come, and Unipa would have to be ready.

Council of Kings, Loidis

The High King glared over at the man, not in disgust, almost in envy of some sort. "There are dark times ahead. I can feel it. I know it would be of Elmet's best interests to forge an alliance with Ostyrlonia." Edwyn then stood from his throne and slowly walked around Dremecles. "Of course, certain things will have to be... offered, for we are not too kind to the people who colonize our rightful land..."

Near OTL Shrewsbury

Around two hundred men, lead by up-and-coming Lord Alaister, arrived outside the borders of Elmet. With Celtica having being declared as 'fallen', and the tribes separated, the Elmetians wished to take full advantage of this. The men, who were all heavily armed, met with one of the Kings in the area, who ruled whats left of North West England, the West Midlands and East Wales. This King, Awyan, was lacking in strength and power, therefore the Elmetians offered for him to join Elmet, gaining him influence and power.

First, Awyan was skeptical, but eventually he accepted, and his Kingdom joined Elmet as a state. Almost immediately as they arrived, around one hundred and fifty of the men, along with Lord Alaister, left Awyans realm, leaving twenty five to stay behind, and a further twenty five to return to the High King with the news. Lord Alaister and his men headed South, towards Cornwall and South England, to gain further allies and expand the influence and power of Elmet.

The country was in mourning over its empress. The procession was miles long, and threaded through dozens of settlements, including, of course, Amvardic (evolved name). When she was finally laid to rest in a grand monument, weeping was everywhere, though many were doing it just because everyone else was; politics was very strong in the country. Her 33 year old son, who also had children, would take over. His name was Dardens III. The previous two Dardens had been the best of the rulers excepting the empress, and he hoped he could live up to his name. He begun it by ordering the invasion of land to the east, to connect the colonies and the mainland as best as possible. It was such that several thousand men marched out the subjugate the natives and allow the Ardovician culture to flood in, as it had done so well in all the conquests. Some even said that the prolific reproduction rate that had allowed this would create overpopulation and a forced need for expansion, bu for now, life was good.
