Element: Lightning
Personality: Rather spastic. Doesn't like sitting still, and talks at a mile a minute. Doesn't put much effort into trusting people. He's just as likely to pat you on the back as he is to stick a knife in it.
Weaknesses: Water. Being a walking electrical socket, getting wet is a bad thing. He's also rather easily distracted.
Equipment, if any: A stolen sword. He doesn't really know how to fight with it, but he thinks swinging it around is cool. Also carries a few extra pairs of shoes with him. His powers tend to ruin his footwear.
Bio: To put it simply, he's a street thug who eventually learned he could shoot lightning at people. In more detail, John Marris was a former farm kid from the Queendom of Yelhennei. But the slow farm life wasn't exactly his cup of tea. Around 15, he found his true talent. Breaking shit and stealing stuff. Abandoning his plodding farm life, he headed for the bigger cities of his homeland. And quickly gained a reputation as a trouble-making thug. At least that's his story. In reality, he was a Dime-A-Dozen criminal wondering the street. Then he turned 21, and found a fun new talent: He could shoot lightning at people. While a normal person might question this, he rolled with it. Using his powers to cause hell. He finally got the attention he wanted. Namely, a fat bounty on his head. Smart enough to know when to split, Shane left Yelhennei entirely, and took the life of a wondering brigand. Who shoots lightning at people.
Theme Song: "Thunderbolt"
RP Sample:

I'm hesitant about this character. A wandering bandit who frequently abuses his powers doesn't seem like they'd fit in with a group of decent people. We had a similar problem earlier when Videssos wanted a manipulative bastard lightning elemental. Is Shane/John able to restrain himself from randomly attacking people, or is he a raging ass-hat who compulsively shoots lightning at everyone?

Plus, there's the matter with how he got his powers. Generally people are either born with their Elemental magic, or earn it through righteous service to their patron deity. Boaltist wouldn't just give the gift of magic to a street thug without an honest bone in his body.

That was his version of telling everyone to die.

You know what would be hilarious? A Mormon version of In the Thick of It.

I guess I can retwerk it a little. I kinda just rehashed my standard lightning guy anyway. Any tips?

I'm gonna go another way. Make my dude a non-elemental.

Name: Eric Lumen

Sex: Male

Age: 58

Appearance: Here.

Skills: Decades of experience as a knight, making him a skilled swordsman.

Personality: Loud, boisterous, and lacking any pretense of shame or subtlety.

Weaknesses: His age. Much as he denies it, he's lost a few steps as he got older. Has a nagging injury in his left knee that tends to act up.

Equipment: Still carries his armor and weapon with him on his travels. A standard suit of Gallian soldier armor, and a long sword he calls Belle Lame.

Bio: Eric Lumen has seen a lot of things in his life. Most of it he wishes he could forget. As a boy, he dreamed of being a proud soldier for Gaiaca. And when he turned 18, he made that dream a reality. A dream which soon became a nightmare. He soon found himself fighting in the war between various nations when it broke out. Eric had always wanted to see the world. He just didn't imagine he'd be seeing it as a blood soaked battlefield, with no end in sight. Despite these horrors, Eric proved a loyal and skilled knight for his kingdom. His courage would be tested when Kayarost came. He still remembers waiting in Villdernheim with his fellow soldiers, waiting for the demons to march inside and butcher them all. He's not afraid to admit he was scared of dying. But death didn't come. With Kayarost defeated by whatever mysterious force, Eric found a new purpose. He'd seen the world at its worst. As a hellish field of slaughter. Now, he sought to see it at its best. After several decades of loyal service, Eric resigned his position as a knight. He left Villdernheim no more as Eric Lumen, soldier. But Eric Lumen, wanderer. He's been walking the lands for 15 years now.

The fight between Alselia, the smoking hot Daemoness, and Richard, a Fire Elemental who's probably a foreigner and possibly from Halvefor continued, Aldraniri entered the fray and knocked one of Alselia's swords out of her hand. Jonah the feral Nature Elemental, Kassaran's character, attacked the people fighting as the flames they were using were threatening to burn up the forest. Alselia got distracted by Aldraniri because he reminded her of someone special she used to know, and Richard took the opportunity to literally stab her in the back with a blessed dagger, and Alselia was forced to flee with teleportation magic in order to safely heal. After that Jonah tried running away, as he's scared of people, but hr was first stopped by Natalie, then Richard, and as Jonah tried running away again he tripped on a gravestone, injuring himself quite badly. Richard closed up the wounds with fire magic and let Jonah sleep and allow his nature magic to assist his recovery. The rest of the group is going to sleep, though Kroisoto is still awake.

I like the addition of a mundane human. While it would be nice to have every Element filled I value having an ordinary person more. I can work this character into the story easier than Shane. Though by "A proud soldier of Gaiaca" did you mean to say Eric wanted to be a proud soldier for the planet of Gaiaca or the continent of Galllia where the story is set?

No, the nation bit is fine. The status of the nations on continent of Galllia before the U.G.F was established was very unstable, as warlords would rise and fall quickly and political intrigue would often wreak havoc on what were previously stable nations. The South had more issues with this, as there were more cities and intertwined noble bloodlines to complicate who was inheriting which kingdom and attempts at settling the matter through personal unions would often fail as rebellions would be incited or assassins hired to prevent such things occurring. The North and Midcountry had their share of instability as well, but Villdernheim was able to keep the lands it controlled fairly stable, as even centuries after the last Galllian emperor died the city has a lot of respect and historical legitimacy backing its actions. Carogne had secured Halvefori and Yelhennein protection, so it stayed out of the wars almodt entirely. Aurenheim and Norenhall had formed an alliance and worked out an uneasy peace with the Haventown-Galabow coalition, though they were still at war with Erinhall. But local rebellions and ambitious warlords were still a thing. There was even someone who tried deposing Duke Aurenheim about nine years before the start of the current IC events, but that was defeated by a combination of local and federal troops.

Added in that bit from earlier about the political stability of Galllian nations into the description in the OP, as well as the bit Bismarke and the Duke of Norenhall mentioned in the IC opening about the economic issues between North and South.
