27. February 1910. Hungro-Serbian border 00.05

It was a silent and a cold night. The only thing that could be heard was the wind, that was whispering. The skies were clear and you could see any star you would want, the moon was so bright that ti illuminated the land just enoug so you could see whats in front of you.
But you could see twofigures in the night going twoards the forest just across the plains of Serbia. The wooods were actually the border between the Kingdom of Serbia and the Republic of Hungary. There were some tensions between the two countries but it wasnt something an ordinary man should care about too much.
The figures in the night were members of the Serbian secret police. Just as they entered the forest they heard an owl. But it wasnt actually an owl, it was a man imitating an owl, it was a signal. The two men walked twoards the other two that were wining in the forest.

-God helps! (an old Serbian way to say hello)

-God helps you! And let nobody do anithing bad to you! (the reply to the greeting)

It wasnt an ordinary greeting, only a Serb that knew the history of the Serbian language (and there werent many in that time) would know how to reply to that, this greeting was actually ment to be the password. The two men from the Serbian police approached the other two.

-Good evening brothers! said on of the policemen -I am sorry, we are a bit late but we couldnt wait any longer.

-It doesnt matter, do you have what we asked for? ased on of the men that were waiting for the secret plice agents

The two agents looked at each other, and then one of them pulled a package out of his pocket.

-Here, this is it, the explosive mas T14, you have 500g here and thats enough to blow up a small flat. In the package you have the two guns you wanted.

The other agent pulled something smaller that that package, wrapped int cloth.

-Here is the money you needed. Is this enough there is enought here for 7 machineguns.

The other two men took the packages and the guns.

-Yeah, just as we have talked. What happens after the action?

-Then we step in.

Said one of the agents.

- But, do you have enough people for the rebellion?

-Yes there are at least 1800 people ready and trained for combat.

-Then our job here is done. Gentlemen, good luck, try not to make chaous, after all that will be our territory, wont it?

1. March 1910. 13.43 Szeged,Hungary

-The Hungarian government wont let us, Serbs in our native lands to have autonomy! The Hungarians that have occupied this territory have no right to silence us!

yells the man on a wooden box that is in the middle of a large crowd in the town square.The town square is full of Serbian flags.People from all over South Hungary came to protest against the Hungarian government.

-If they think that increasing the police numbers and troops in the Southern Hungary will scare us, then they must be insane!

three trucks , not far away from the crowd, full of policemen with batons parked.
The man turned twoards the trucks and pointed twoard them.

-You see, our friends from the Hungarian National Police would like toshut me up. But until they do that, I want you people to send them a message. If they shut me up, who will take my place?

The crowd looked confused but then an old man raised his hand yelling

-I WILL!

-Who will take my place?

the man asked again and more people yelled

-I WILL!

-WHO WILL TAKE MY PLACE?

almost everybody yelled

- I WILL!

The policemen started charging twoards the crowd

-DONT LET THEM SHUT YOU UP!

The crowd started fighting with the police and slowly the policemen started to retreat trying to escape the angry Serbs.The crowd charged twoards the trucks and fliped them on the sides. The drivers in the trucks escaped just in time. People were rioting. More trucks came to the scene but the crowd was getting bigger, people that werent protesting now joined the fight against the police. The policemen tried to stop the crowd and brake it, but they couldnt do anything about it.
Serbs started beating the police and some took batons from the policemen some found them in a boxes inside the rucks that they prevously flipped on the side. Many policemen were laying down on the floor, with bloody heads from the batons and fists of the protesters. The rest of the police squadron started wavering in order to escape the fate of their colleagues that were beaten.
The crowd started charging to the HNP( Hungarian National Police) HQ that wasnt far away from the town square. But when they arrived the policemen were ready, with rifles! Some policemen were in the building but were standing at the windows of the building. In front of the HNP HQ were five trucks that were positioned to make cover for other rifleman that were on the streets. It seemed the crowd wasnt scared and they continued their charge. The commander ordered the policemen to fire . Shots were fired immediately, and some protesters fell on the ground the crowd continued but some started fleeing. The next platoon killed more. And the protesters started fleeing. Scared, some were wounded, they fleed gone to any streed that didnt lead to the HNP members that started to hunt the protesters like they were wild animals. The policemen continued to shoot. The street in front of the HNP HQ was bloody full of bodies and wounded men.
The police officers killed the ones that were wounded and burried the bodies outside of the town.

Confederate States of America.

It has been 45 years since the American Civil War, but the United States, and the Confederate States have had no success in trying to have a better relationship. Though they both recognized that the other was a sovereign state, they wished for the other to fall apart. President James Melwood was focused on civil rights, and on a better American relationship. He had only re-legalized slavery because of it's economic impact. He had invited the governors of all 13 confederate states to a meeting in Montgomery, Alabama.

"Gentlemen. I thank you for being here today." Said President Melwood.

"Now, I know that most of you here today have a hatred towards the Union. Now, Is this what's best for the Confederacy? The United States has resources that the Confederacy, just can't get. It's been almost 5 decades since the war, I say it's time to forgive and forget." He continued

But what if when we do finally have peace with them, they stab us in the back and invade us!

"Then, we fight back. We fight back with a fury. We will annex states if they invade our nation. They have no clue on what to expect from the Confederacy. They are of lesser military levels than of the Confederacy. We have allies, who are dependent on cotton, and I know that they wouldn't allow for us to be annexed back into the Union."

What about Mexico?, What if they ally themselves with the Union, and then the Union and Mexico invade the Confederacy, Union from the North, and Mexico from the South?

"We get our allies involved. I know Germany COULD come to the help. Cuba will come to our aide,Russia may or may not. France is the biggest wildcard. This is why I propose sending a treaty to all of these nations, and have them agree to give aide to the Confederacy if we are invaded by the Union."

"Look,I'm not trying to do what WE want to do. I'm trying to do what's best for the Confederacy and the Confederate Economy, and the Confederate people!"

He's right. If we can't get peace done, then think about 50 years from now. 1960 headlines, "The Confederacy still hates the Union!" I don't want this for my great grandchildren to see. I say we should take a step in diplomacy, we should have peace!

More and more governors began to agree with the statement, until all 13 had agreed for the Confederacy to try to work out a peaceful situation with the Union.

"Now, before we dismiss, I want to discuss the Confederate Constitution. I was looking and it is completely outdated. The Constitution itself say that the Union " is our mortal enemy ", and the only thing it sets up is the Confederate government."

And?

"AND, I believe that a new constitution is needed, so that we can bring a sense of unity to the Confederate States of America, I wasn't hoping to discuss this today, but at least later this year.

I think as long as it allows the South it's independence, we should keep it.

"Ah, but THAT is ALL it gives. It doesn't setup a cabinet, any departments- which means to Confederate Armed Forces-, and any state government. Which means it says, we shouldn't be here today, or at least, YOU shouldn't GOVERNORS."

Well, I do believe that a new constitution is to be in order then, eh?

*a few chuckles go around the room*

"Yes, and it is WAY overdue. I propose we come back here, at Montgomery on May 9th, 1910, the 45th Anniversary of the Confederate Independence, and discuss a new constitution."

The governors all agreed, that this was the best solution.

"Governors, I thank you for the time. We are dismissed."

President Melwood went into his office and began to write an alliance deal to France, Russia, and Cuba.

The caliph was pondering on some ideas, about the growth of his country. He was stumped, not able to think of anything, and so went to consult his adviser.

Later....

"What will I do?! I can't think right now....adviser, Can you think of something for me? I want expand this country's borders, but I'm not sure how!"

"Well, you can always think of invading Hindustan,"

"Correct, but there is the communist scum in the north. What shall we do about that?"

"My lord, there is one, simple answer. Keep the communists occupied in the north by invading Afghanistan. This will distract them, thus we can easily maneuver the rest of our forces and conquer Hindustan for the Caliphate,"

"Yes...that is quite a good idea, actually! It shall be done,"

"Indeed, my lord,"

Near Afghanistan

Some soldiers gathered up at a village on the border, plotting against the communist government. They were actually hired to do exactly this, by the caliph. They were soldiers of the Mughal Imperial Army, and they were going to invade Afghanistan to distract the communists. Finally one man walked outside, and said,

"All Hail Allah! The Caliph shall be our new leader! DOWN WITH THE GODLESS COMMUNISTS!"

The rest of the men shouted,

"URRAH! URRAH! HAIL ALLAH! URRAH!"

They marched right into the villager and stuck the Mughal flag in the ground. Since there were no police around, nobody could stop them. Finally they marched onward to invade Afghanistan for the Caliphate.

Next stop: Hindustan.

OOC:Hold on. The map says I do not own Afghanistan, also where is this Hindustan, you wish to create?
Also, my country does not take part in wars that it is not affected by, you could have just invaded Hindustan, which I think is northern India, without me intervening.

IC:Hearing of the invasion, the government sends a large group of troops to fight against the caliph's forces. The forces the government send to Afghanistan are highly trained and are armed with modern bolt action rifles. Soon the troops are sent to the afghan border by train. When they get off the train, they are in the Afghan capital, Kabul. They set up positions outside of the city.

Afghanistan

The cavalry went ahead and conducted raids on the nearby villages, tearing them down to wastelands as they went. They were armed with single shot bolt action rifles, which were sufficient for their time. As they rode their horses, the destroyed villages were claimed in the name of the caliph. Finally, the infantry catched up with the cavalry, both forces marching up to Kabul.

Later...

Intense fighting. Cannonballs were flying in all directions, everywhere, all over the city. Smoke filled the air as the infantry shot lead like no tomorrow. Swords were heard, slashing in the background, as cavalry flanked the enemy forces and thus used their swords when they got close. Since the enemy apparently didn't have horses, even though the Caliph's forces were outnumbered, they could still win the fight.

The government got the letter and they threw it in a bin, without reading it. They were enraged by the Mughal empire.

AFGHANISTAN

The enemy cavalry charged, luckily for the troops of CCAS they had maxim machine guns on their side. These were set up and quickly began hammering the charging enemy troops. Meanwhile Captain, Sajo Minzuk is in his quickly dug fox hole,with around 5 other troops, they have one machine gun, to defend th foxhole, which is around 20 metres in front of the main army's position. Several troops fire accurate rounds at enemy troops, these make a loud sound as leave the rifle.

The CCAS Expeditionary force, had a strength of 80,000 men, the rest of the CEF was being mobilised in the capital of The CCAS. The CEF was founded in 1900 as the need for a highly trained force regular army force grew. The army following the CEF's example made the army entirely full of regular troops in 1902.

Lenin sighed as he leaned back in the chair. It had been a few years since the failure of the revolution in Russia, but he was not disheartened from spreading the word of Marx across Europe.

The various movements across Europe were gaining momentum steadily- the KPD was growing steadily in Germany, and many Russians still resented the Tsar.

France and the other European empires also had growing Communist movements- the combination of massive industry, oppressed workers and poor wages providing a breeding ground for Communism, along with the many Red Army soldiers that had settled there after the Twelve-Week March.

Eastern Europe and Scandanavia were easily no-go zones for the Third International- Facism and Eugenics did not mix with Communism, and the few Communists that did live in the UAS had followed Lenin on the Twelve-Week March across Eastern Europe to Germany, where the Red Army dissolved and spread out across Europe.

That was four years ago, and now Lenin was grateful that the Russian Revolution had failed. The United Workers Front or Third International now numbered over 50 million, spread out across Western Europe.

Lenin had already ruled out leading a revolution in somewhere like the United Kingdom- their love of 'King and Country' effectively preventing any large-scale growth of Communism and armed revolution.

Which was why he was currently reading the latest draft of Pravda, the Third International's official newspaper to be translated into various languages before it was distributed across Europe.

The United Workers Front was part revolutionary movement, part coodiantion organization. They would spread the word of Marx throughout Europe, at any cost.

Lenin handed the copy to a worker, and nodded. Soon millions of that copy would be printed across Europe. Lenin settled down, and began to draft a letter-

1. March 1910. 12.32 Budapest, Hungary

It was a nice day in Hungary, the snow finally started to melt and people were excited, the life in Budapest once again bloomed. Like every year people would go in the town hall and listen to the spring concert that is occuring on March the 1st.
But this concert will remain in the anals of Hungarian history.
Just hours before two men entered the town hall with two large bags. The went in the grat hall here the concert would take place. They took something purple, like clay, and hid it near the support columns.
Hours later the concert started. It was a great display, people enjoyed it. In the front rows were the officials from the Hungarian government. When the orchestra finished the final composition there was a spectacular applause from the crowd. At that very moment there was a massive explosion that brought down the suport columns inside the Great Hall and the roof came down on the crowd. Chaos, disaster. You could hear people, moaning screaming, everything was dusty and you couldnt see from the grey fog that was made from the explosion.
In the final medical report it is stated that 28 people were killed at that moment 13 others dided from the wounds. 6/10 government officials were killed including the Minister of culture and the Major of Budapest. 56 people were injured. The town hall was roofless.
It was later found out that two Serbians planted the explosives, the Hungarian National Police (HNP) found two handguns in their possesion and enough money for them to buy seven machineguns.

3. March 1910.

"This is radio Budapest, here are the latest news!
The Budapest bombers have been executed this morning. Along with them 14 more Serbs were executed because of being connected to them. The HNP announced that 50 Serbs will be killed because of this as a payback for what happened two days ago..."

28. February 1910. 03.00 Szeged, South Hungary

In a warehouse near the town square was some 450 armed men listening to the guy that was speaking in the town square just a day ago. His name was Nikola Petrović.

-We have ten trucks that will come in front of the warehouse in a few moments. You trained well for this, we will avenge the victims of the HNP!

Nobody said anything, everything needed to be quiet as this was a secret operation. Outside at that moment engines could be heard.

-They are here men, walk out side slowly board the trucks. The other soldiers will split into ten groups just as we planned. Position your selves at the checkpoints and wait for me and the staff to read the declaration.Now go! God speed!

The men were actualy millitia. A response to the events that happened a day ago. But the attack on the HNP was planned for a long time. The protest charge was actually the first plan, to overrun the police officers guarding the HNP HQ and sieze it and a day later proclaim the Republic of Serbian Panonia. They werent thinking the officers would shoot but they still made a plan B that is now being implemented. The trucks were going throught the streets and parked in a defence formation to be cover for the millitia. The oes that walked on foot climbed on rooftops and hid themselves in buildings. The HNP HQ was surrounded.
The trucks that were parked in front of the HNP just a day ago were still there and there were officers quarding the building. But they were amazed and frightened when they saw the trucks and the mass of the small army composed of millitia. From the defence line of the Serb millitia made from the trucks walked Nikola Petrović with a megaphone.

-POLICE OFFICERS OF THE HNP! THIS IS NIKOLA PETROVIĆ SPEAKING! I AM THE HEAD OF THE ORGANISATION CALLED YOUNG PANONIA! AND I AM THE HEAD OF THE SERB ARMY OF PANONIA! WE ARE ARMED, AND WE HAVE MORE MEN THAN YOU DO! SURRENDER NOW AND WE WONT SHOOT YOU! YOU HAVE FIVE SECONDS TO RESPOND IF YOU DONT , RESPOND IN THAT TIME WE WILL CONSIDER THAT YOU DECLINED OUR PROPOSAL AND THAT YOU ARE HOSTILE!

Some officers were woken up and came to the windows to see what is happening. It was dark and Szeged didnt have streetlights, the HNP building had some lights, butthey werent strong enough to reveal what was behind the trucks that were 50 meters away from the HNPHQ.
Nikola Petrović went behind the trucks, but continued to talk on his megaphone.
People that lived nearby ,heard the noise of the trucks and Nikola talking, came on the windows to see what was happening. From the darkness they couldnt see much but they could realise that someone it trying to take over the HNP HQ.
The HNP officers were confused and didnt know what to do, until the head of the RMC HQ came out on the terrace that was on the third floor of the building.

-Shoot the bastards!

He yelled, at that moment Nikola was at three.
At thet moment the HNP soldiers started shooting but then they faced a rain of bullets comming literally from everywhere. From the roofs of the buildings,from the shops from the windows of some buildings. The were terrfied , the head of the HNP jumped just in time back into the building. The alarm was sounded, but it was too late. Most soldiers that were defending the building were dead. The others were now waking up but there wasnt much time. They grabbed their weapons, and in pajamas went out to face the militamen.
Some got kiled when they exited the building, but some were lucky enough to find cover.
The militamen started charging. 200 men were charging and yelling (URAAA)! The officers got frightened and raised their hands up in the air, but the militamen were too angry with them. The shot them. All of those officers that tried to surrender got killed, of course not all of the officers from the police surrendered. Many continued to ,at least, try to kill some of the milita but that was in vane. Soon the HNP HQ was overrun and they eventually had to surrender.
The head of the HQ was actually a Serb, his name is Andrej Kasalica. A prominent figure in that time, he was actually a kind of a traitor.
The millitia found him hiding in the basement, tried to kill him but Nikola arrived there on time.

-Stop! Dont kill him! He will be put on trial for his deeds!

Around 12.00 o'clock that day the millitia entered the Szeged town assembly, and siezed it.
During a meeting, the millitia broke in, Nikola was one of the leaders. He came to the speaking table, all of the MP's were frightened and confused.

-Today, on the February 28. 1910. The Republic of Serbian Panonia declares its independence!
The declaration of independence will be signed by members of the Young Panonia movement that are also going to be in the transitional council that will be the legistative form of government untill the first general elections!

The MP's were frightened. The town Assembly was actually a parliament of the south Hungary region that is 100% Hungarian controlled. The MP's had to be worried because they were Hungarian.

Times have changed, I too beleve that it is time for the two enemies to bury the war axes and start cooperating. My government and I are ready to begin talks with you and maybe establish an alliance to maintain the peace in the Balkans but also in Asia minor and the Arab world.
Unfortunately i cant be in the Serbian delegation because of some issues i have to deal with in the near future. My nation will soon be at war and I must get ready, I will send my delegation that will be composed of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a few more men from the same ministry.

Both the trade deal, and the non-aggression pact can be renewed at anytime.
Both nations will give military aid to the other if the other is invaded.
The nation who breaks the agreement will pay a total of 2,000 Confederate Dollars.

The Republic of France fully agrees to these terms, but requests that the reparation for agreement-breaking be increased to 150.000 Francs, and that a peg be put between the Confederate Dollar and the Franc, so that 1 Franc = 4.5 Confederate Dollars.

Comrade, I thank you for your offer. I personally wish to use this letter to offer your group, safe haven in the CCAS if the capitalist governments ever find you and your group. In addition I would like to give weapons to your group, after all the revolution in The Russian Empire would have succeeded, if you had been armed.

I also would like to train any army you have, I will detail the training if you decide to come to the CCAS. Also a ticket for a ship is enclosed, please be aware however the Mughal empire wishes to control Pakistan and Afghanistan, and fighting is occurring outside of Kabul. So take a concealed weapon to defend yourself.

Once you get to Pakistan, take the train to Kazakhstan, do not worry my soldiers know who you are, so security will be heavier then usual.

Muzak Yokau, inspected his troops on a firing range located in Kazakhstan. They wore khaki uniforms, with rifles on their backs. One of them carried a pocket watch. Muzak left the firing range and returned to his offices, he himself was a former soldier, who had fought against rebels in Pakistan in 1901.

Muzak with the help of his ministers introduced a new law.

The military service act

This law states

1.All males once they reach 18 will receive mandatory one year of military training.

2.Once the training finishes, all the males will be called up for two months every year, to receive extra training.

3. Every two weeks until you retire you must if you received training, return to your barracks for the weekend to continue training.

4. The military cannot interfere with your personal life in any way.

5. At the age of 65, you will be automatically retired from the army and you will receive a pension for life.

6.You have the right to wear your uniform in public, just not with weapons.

7. If possible you will be grouped with people who you share friendship with, to make it easier to integrate in the armed forces.

8.If you refuse to fight you may serve another role in the armed forces.

As a horse drawn carriage drives past Buckingham palace over 5,000 troops line the streets stood to attention for the funeral of Field Marshal Sir Herbert Kitchener who was found in his home when he did not phone his friend that evening he shot himself in the head with a Colt 1903 handgun held in has hand the coroner confirmed it was suicide King George thought it was because of his recent dismissal from the British Armed Forces

4. The military cannot interfere with your personal life in any way.

5. At the age of 65, you will be automatically retired from the army and you will receive a pension for life.

6.You have the right to wear your uniform in public, just not with weapons.

7. If possible you will be grouped with people who you share friendship with, to make it easier to integrate in the armed forces.

8.If you refuse to fight you may serve another role in the armed forces.

I will be visiting the CCAS within a few months, and do not worry about providing a ship- the remains of the Red Navy are currently at anchor in Amsterdam under the name of Red Line shipping, and the Third International has nothing to fear from the capitalists- mostly because they cannot risk upsetting large numbers of their population, and we are a perfectly legal group in the eyes of their laws. The Red Navy will also transfer the weapons back to Europe after the trip, and the other ships of the Red Line will assist as well.

WAR! SERBIANS IN HUNGARY PROCLAIM INDEPENDNCE! SERBIA DECLARES WAR ON HUNGARY!
Yesterday, in the early morning a large group of millitiamen siezed the control of the HNP (Hungarian National Police) HQ. Hours later, around noon, the same group entered the Szeged assembly proclaiming the Serbian Republic of Panonia! This is, as their leader Nikola Petrović says, a lagitimate act that was made in response to the genocide of Serbs in Hungary.
The government of Serbia has issued this morning an official communique where it states that from 7.34 this morning, Serbia is in a state of war with Hungary.
Serbian troops were allready moved to the Serbo-Hungarian border in mass numbers. The first attack of the serbian army came at around 8.00 when the Hungarian millitary checkpints, that were made in response to the recent events, were bombed by Serbian artillery. Then around 8.45, Serbian troops entered Hungary facing some resistance 10 km from the border.
While our men fight against Honvedszeg, the Serbian Army of Panonia ( as the armed forces of the Serbian Republic of Panonia are called) is defending Szeged against a massive attack from Honvedszeg.

Lenin stared at the newspaper that was lying on his desk. He was leaving for the CCAS in a week, and this situation in Hungary could be used to his advantage. The KMP, or the Communist Party of Hungary, was fairly large- numbering around a million members.

If he played his cards right, a Communist revolution now in Hungary could begin a new era for Communism.

Wilhelm was very interested in foreign affairs but first he wanted to improve the economy and army of his empire before he intervened in anything. So with the help of capitalist investors and government subsidization factories, railroads, farms, and mines were being constructed around Germany. And in the meantime Wilhelm ordered for more artillery and ships to be manufactured. Wilhelm also sent out letters about Germany seeking trade. And in the colonies plantations, farms, railroads, and ports were being built to improve the colonies wealth. Wilhelm then went to bed, being down with todays affairs.
