Siglor Riverstride
Rivendell meeting

The delegates had been sent to the meeting location where the last representatives decided the fate of the ring of power. The representatives have taken their seats and the meeting was bout to start. The journey here was easier thanks to the dwarves retaking moria for their kind. But some dwarves still had a disliking for elves and Siglor had not been the only person sent to protect the Mirkwood delegation, Silvae was present as well. "So, what do you think they will decide war or try to ease tentions?" Whispered Siglor as he leaned towards Silvae.

Silvae Lori whispered back "Somehow, I have the feeling that war is on the horizons. And I would prefer for us to go to war to protect our Elven homelands, and fight once more for a worthy cause, than engage in a futile quest to prevent the inevitable war. I may be among the few left of fair Lothlorien, but I shall die to assure that our kind stay around for generations to come. Same to go with Elves of Mirkwood and Rivendell. War must happen to assure that our race does not die out."

"Silvae my friend, you haven't changed a bit. They might form a fellowship to do some damage to the gondorians before the invasion force gets there. That's what I heard and the invasion if agreed upon is still a year off from now." Said Siglor as he looked around at the representatives waiting for the host to start the meeting. "We will not let our people's land be burned or taken, we both will die before that happens." Said Siglor.

Silvae laughed slightly. "True. But still, what can a small band of warriors do against the most powerful kingdom in Middle Earth? They outnumber us, have many more resources, and, frankly, outmatch us. At best we will be able to delay the attacks or lower the amount of troops they will be able to send. A diversion, such as an attack on a Gondorian fort, may distract them, but the Elves are not strong enough to last long in combat."

Siglor shook his head, "That is the plan if they want to send a party. But they want building to burn armories to mysteriously burn down. Level troops with anything we can get our hands on. Hell we could give them concussions and we could still help the invasion force. We just need to be a thorn in their side."

"Well, I am sure they have a lot of weapons. It will take a ton of effort to successfully burn them all. Plus, how are we going to be able to start burning armories without their soldiers noticing and going after us? It just...I do not think that will work very well. It would be better to attempt to assassinate the King of Gondor. Without leadership, the army will crumble." Silvae said.

"Assasination is a fools attempt. You would have greater chance of being caught then burning a armory down. The plan would be light fires and walk with them like torches then throw then into the windows and run away with the scream crowed. Plus we only need to destroy the weapons on the walls and armories." Said Siglor.

If we storm into Minas Tirith, kill as many guards as we can, push into the Citadel, shoot the King full of arrows, that will actually be a hinderence. It would simply be a much better resolution to defeat Gondor. Higher risks for a better solution." Silvae said.

Bribing Gondorian guards into letting us into the city, then storming the citadel. I highly doubt that the King shall have that many guards. There will be enough of us highly skilled warriors to kill the guards and the King." Said Silvae.

"I would not be so sure. Humans are easily corruptible, and may be manipulated with ease. Now, I am not trying to decide his fate. I am only trying to suggest ways to keep our Elven woods safe. And the Dwarvern mines. None of it will be safe so long as that King lives. It is just the best way. You have to know how corruptible Humans are. They will be easily swayed to our cause." After quietly listening to the two elves talk about war and assasination for a while Forhol opened his mouth and started speaking: "Do not be so quick to forsake peace. Bickering among ourselves will only weaken us all, and assasinating the king would only serve to unite the houses of men against you, for while we have disagreements within ourselves, the line of Elendil commands respect both in Gondor and elsewhere. While my people have always held yours in high regard, the Dúnedain won't idly stand by if the elves are to break the bonds of friendship between us."

Imorer would have been bored, if he had been anyone but a Maiar. But he was a Maiar, and to a Maiar like him that had existed for millenia, it was an insignificant amount of time, a moment. He was almost enjoying himself. "Forhol, Siglor, Silvae, reign in your prideful natures. Forhol, prosperous Dúnedain kingdoms have tendency to cause their own downfall, as I have no doubt you know. As for the elves, in the past prideful Noldor have wrought more damage than any Man. Neither one of you would benefit from a war. We must find a peaceful solution." Imorer said, emerging from the shadows. "My apologies, I don't believe that I have introduced myself to some of you. I am Anarher, I am neither Elf, Dwarf or Man, and I am here to prevent this pointless war." He added.

Aalric peered over the hill, where four figures talked in conversation. He caught certain words like 'assasination' and 'corruptible,' and when the word 'Gondor' had reached him, he did not care much. He heard most of their conversation.

"My friends," he said. "War is not necessary. I do not come from Gondor, but the Kingdom of Dale, but I say: men have no desire for war against the Elven races, who have always kept us in-line, or the Dwarves, who are essential for gathering many needs for us. War is not necessary, I say; however, I care not much for the lands of Gondor and Arnor.
Aalric figured he would introduce himself later.

"Friends, it is not a matter of him declaring war. But it is a matter of when he will declare it, we sent a few diplomats and they never returned from gondor and a spy in the city informed us a months later they were killed on sight. So what more proof do we need, he is raising a army to control middle earth, I don't think the shire folk want to lose their shire and us elves and dwarves like our lands. I say we form a party to do damage that will get the invasion force time to assemble and strike. We will be keeping them busy on us while the force attacks. Also Imorer, you were not invited to this meeting as I see it has no concern to you." Said Siglor.

Baldo listened with slight interest. Bree was Bree and the Shire is the Shire. Still, he was here for a reason. Something to do mainly but also to scope the threat. If there was a threat was more accurate. This last bit about the Shire had caught his attention, and he was ready to listen more intently.
The Shire and Bree under Gondor. That would not bode well with the gentle folk of the shire. The hardy folk of Bree will like it even less. This is an opportunity for something to do. Even if it is a violent task.

Imorer wondered silently how Siglor knew that name, as he had only given that name to his Orcs, and they were hidden away in the ruins of what was once ancient Elvish cities. He decided to assume Siglor was simply insulting him. "Do not insult me, elf. Tossing around slurs like "The Black One" will only cause more strife, somthing neither of us wants. My name is Anarher, and you will address me as such. As for my presence here, I was in fact invited, I have been an advisor to the Elves and th Dwarves for many years, this is sinply an extension of my duties. Now then, to diplomacy. We must find a peaceful solution." Imorer said, frowning. The Mirkwood-elf was annoying him, he hoped that when his plans came to fruition he would be able to see Siglor die.

"Like I said, we tried Diplomacy two elves were killed of it. So it's no longer a option we have open to us and that leaves only two roads for us left. Fight or give up our lands, I don't know about you. But I wont give up my peoples land, plus since when have you been a advisor oh mighty jackass?" Said Siglor as he paced back and fourth they delegates were moved inside for the meeting to begun while the whole group was left outside to bicker amongst themselves.

Somewhere in the North

"Master, looks like war is approaching just like you hoped. Your follower Imorer or Anarher. He is at the meeting and will be reporting in soon, we should prepare the forces once all sides are we we should strike-" The goblin servant then was shot in the head by his master. Then two other goblins ran to the dead goblin and pulled him away and a orc entered the room. The master in his armor was fearsome to say the least.

"Congratulations, you have been promoted to be my first Lieutenant. Prepare the forces, we will start to raid our friends down south and inform our ally of it as well." Said the Master as the orc nodded and left to carry out his orders.

It hadn't been a long journey from Moria but it still gave a small sense of relief to Draek as he spotted the gleaming spires of Rivendell, hefting his mace he continued down the slope that led to the Elven haven, occasionally using the mace to steady himself as the road was rough from years of none or little use.

Arriving at the bridge that now stood between him and Rivendell Draek didn't need fine elven ears to hear the sounds of arguments that seemed to be rattling through the peaceful and otherwise silent haven. Draek smiled to himself as he tapped his mace on the bridge, pleased that it would hold him he crossed, not exactly trusting of Elven architecture, nothing could stand up to the might of the Dwarves and their structures Draek grunted as he continued towards the council chambers.

Aalric grew tired almost instantly and, after bickering with the fellow delegates, just sat down and began to think. He remembered the stories of the Fellowship, and realized that Elves, Dwarves, and Men had also bickered in this very town in the Third Age.

His thoughts were interrupted as a dwarf passed by him.

"Ah, a dwarf." he said aloud, then everybody was silenced.

A horn of the Rohirrim was heard entering Rivendell. Theoden rode into the main plaza and jumped off of his horse."Tell me where is Siglor, for I much desire to speak with him."He said to one of the elf servants who came forth.

Anarher stood up. "Unfortunately, I must take a leave. I will return to this meeting shortly, as no doubt tempers will flair again, but I have important business to attend to, something beyond your scope of comprehension." Anarher explained before leaving. He encountered Theoden II on his way out of the meeting. "Ah, the Lord of the Mark arrives at last. I trust my advice has been helpful? Siglor is in the meeting, that way." Anarher said, gesturing towards the direction he came from. He walked past Theoden and found a secluded area. He concentrated, and mentally created a minor replica of the famous "Girdle of Melian" spell, anyone who came near him would become lost, confused, and inevitably wouldn't bother him. Now that he knew he wouldn't be disturbed, Anarher pulled a small black smooth stone from his pocket, a Palantir. Anarher was in possession of three of the four "lost" Palantiri, two he had found on the ocean floor, the third recovered from the ruins of Barad-dur after its collapse. His fortres in the ruins of Nargothrond contained one, he had given his dark ally in the north another, and the third was small enough to be carried around by him. Anarher oriented himself so that he was standing to the south of the Palantir, and contacted his ally. The palantir allowed him to see into his ally's thoughts, and vice-versa. The meeting is proceeding as scheduled, and my armies are growing. Just recently I convinced a few Southron tribes to join our ranks. My Uruk armies breed within the ruined elf-city, and we dig deep into the earth in hopes of finding the remains of Morgoth's Balrog hordes. You need only give the command and we will emerge from Nargothrond to crush Gondor. he thought, projcting his mind through the Palantir. He was waiting for an order, then he would relay it to his army through the Nargothrond Palantir.

Theoden II nodded to the Maiar and walked to the meeting room. He walked in and got in front of Siglor."Ah. My old elven friend. What is this I hear about a war between you and Gondor?"He asked with a raised eyebrow and an outstretched hand.

Siglor grabbed Théoden II's hand and said, "The king of Gondor has killed two elven diplomats, he is raising a army to attack. But something else if off, its like he is a puppet of some kind. Either way we still haven't take a course of action." Said Siglor as he looked around the room.
