First, there was nothing. Then, Ardain weaved the world of Benelia. And he loved the animals and plants. Then, Ardain created a son, Maren. And Maren created the elves. The elves awoke in Benelia, masters of arcane art. They were immortal, beautiful, and powerful. And Ardain created another son, Barsik. And Barsik created the dwarves. When the dwarves awoke, they entered the deep places of Benelia. They were craftsmen beyond compare, and a hardy people. Soon, the caves and mountains became glorious strongholds, filled with gold, warmth and merriment. And the elves and dwarves lived as friends. And Ardain created a third son, Pavel. And Pavel created men.
Men awoke on Benelia, but too late. The elves had already taken the land, and the dwarves had taken the caves. Man was forced to survive. They were not immortal like the elves, nor were they the craftsmen compared to dwarves. But man was cunning. And so began the Great Elven War, between man and elf. For a thousand years, men and elves fought bitterly. Loss was innumerable, especially to the immortal elves, to whom death was a powerful thing indeed. In the final battle, the elves were banished to the continent of Nidia, where they wait, planning their return.
But Ardain had one more son, once named Himen. But Himen was evil, and took on the name Kragsfeld. Kragsfeld fled to Benelia, to the underground places. There, he created the goblins, the trolls, and began to create dragons and other wicked creatures. The dwarves were driven to the surface, to the continent of Hara. They bitterly remember the dark god who forced them from their glorious halls. The dwarves became a broken people, prized for their craftsmanship, hated for their anger.
A thousand years of peace ensued, with the elves watching greedily, the dwarves nursing old wounds, the humans growing complacent in their wealth on Aeona and Oren, and the forces of evil gathering in the Underworld. But the walls are breaking now. The Dark Empire of Kragsfeld have begun to enter the surface. The dwarves are ready to return to their homes. The elves are armed and ready to do war with the humans. But the humans... they have grown lazy. Can they survive the new war? When winter ends, time shall be told.
