What tech level is this RP in?

It's a mix of modern and past/fantasy tech. The normal people will have cars and cell phones, at least in areas that aren't still rebuilding from the destruction of the last war, the military has missiles, jet fighters, and submarine battleships, but you'll still see old steam trains in use in rural areas of the U.G.F, and a lot more commonly used in different nations in Gaiaca. And plenty of the ordinary people use sailing ships, given the scarcity of privately available fuel sources. It's a bit of a complicated mix, I know, but hopefully it won't be too confusing.

I would personally prefer more past tech, maybe having the highest-level tech being Industrial Age.

Sounds vaguely Dieselpunk. I'll work on an app.

Alright, I'll work that in. Most areas in the U.G.F (The global superpower that rules the main continent, Galllia) will be medieval-esque, but a few of the major cities will have industrialization and such. The other nations in Gaiaca will still be firmly medieval though.

Yes, several. It has a large river running through the middle of the town, so it's a bit of a trade centre.

That'd make the U.G.F quite broken in terms of military power. How small are the other nations?

I will now imagine Haventown as Balmora.

Frankly, I don't really care about the politics here. I just want to kill some shit with icicles.

Fairly small. And even though it's not fully industrialised yet, it does have the best capacity to do so than the other nations. A lot of the fighting in the Final Daemon War took place there, so while there was plenty of destruction to deal with, they also built the best technology to deal with it, even if said technology was just attempts at copying Elemental magic.

yeah I'm not really going to have political intrigues here. Basically the U.G.F is an ass-load bigger than the other nations in Gaiaca, so even if it's a slow, cumbersome beast with wounds all over, it can still curbstomp the other nations. (Although nobody wants an international war, since the memories of the Final Daemon War are still fresh in most people's minds.

Basically the Final Daemon War was a god-modish version of WW2 on crack and meth I take it?

I'll alter their capabilities a bit, make them more like shadowy ninjas than laser-shooting spies. And instead of being a secret U.G.F agency they're now just a shadowy guild. To explain to everyone else, Watchtower is one of the antagonistic groups I came up with. It's basically humans who fight against Daemons and Elementals alike, because of their belief that both are bad for humanity.

Equivalent to it, I suppose. Instead of atom bombs you had the Goddess of Ice freezing massive chunks of land or sea to kill off the Daemon armies wherever Her blasts struck. The human nations all banded together though, so instead of it being U.G.F vs. other human nations vs. daemons it was Humans+Elementals vs. daemons.

Hmm I take it messaging still relies on horses, carrier pidgeons, and messenger hawks?

In most parts, yes, but more advanced areas of the U.G.F have telegraph lines. They would be more widespread, but due to the scarcity of Elementals in general humanity has had a bit of a hard time developing more advance technology. They have steam trains running just fine, because the Fire Elementals used them long enough for the normal humans to pick up on their design and usage pretty quickly. But, since Fire and Metal Elementals are rare now, like every other type of Elemental, it's taking time for them to develop better metals to expand the railway networks the Elementals left behind.

Hey Videssos, in Coltaine's bio what exactly does it mean by "The looks women give him"? Is it women find him strange, or attractive?

Well, it's nearly finished, although the actions won't be starting for a bit. I'll finish it up now so you lot can begin posting, while still giving Seshie and Rup time to finish their apps.
