Harold Saxon wins 1999 election!
By John Green, Daily mail senior political editor.
Above: Harold Saxon outside Westminster palace, after receiving the results for the British State.
Finally after a lengthy battle, Sir Harold Burchell-Saxon, has been elected as the second European federation president, after his predecessor, Sir John Major, stepped down from his post and called for elections. Harold Saxon fought a long election against highly unpopular Democratic European Party leader, Tony Blair. The first election in European history, Harold Saxon has won with a small majority; with nearly three-quarters of the European senate Harold Saxon now has total power in the federation.
What does Harold Saxon intend to do with this power? Through-out his campaign and party memo, Harold Saxon has persistently stated that he has a total intention to stop the ‘appeasement’ towards the Soviet Union; in his debates he promise to beef up the European Legion, and contribute more towards the military of the states. Many also indicated that he is more leaning towards European re-education, a controversial topic. That being said, many still see him as a strong leader; in a poll by the European Broadcast System, it has been determined that most voters for Harold Saxon voted due to ‘him having a strong persona.’
The election helped us picture the state of the union, with many in states in Spain, and Portugal voting for independents. And most of the North voting for Labour, many analysts have claimed that this shows a worrying thread that leans towards independence in the south. Most independents, such as Mariano Rajoy, advocate a more de-centralised system, critics have exaggerated him as a nationalist, however Mariano has dismissed this claims as false. Time will tell, Mr Saxon is expected to make his address to the council of European head of states tomorrow.
Balkan wars to be concluded
Above: European armies plan to depart for Austria

As the dust settled from another artillery strike, a shout rang out. One claiming of surrender, the Croatian regiment that had been fighting had surrendered. In the past few days, it has become clear that President Fanjo Tuđman has neither the backbone or stamina to resist the armies of Serbia. Although reports from Croatia have indicate that the republic will not surrender, it is clear that Croatia has lost this war. The decade long conflict has finally come to an end, one of the most major and deadly conflicts since the conclusion of the second world war. Although no proper agreement has ended this war, it is clear, that finally it has ended.
European intervention has been minimal, which has led to criticism from many thinkers. The Tenth European infantry regiment which has been deployed in Croatia, will be withdrawn in the earliest available time. The war has cost the European federation ten soldiers, and military zealots have herald it as a call from re-armament. President Saxon has already issued a statement to the Serbian government, congratulating them on they're conclusion. In this statement he called for reconciliation of all sides, but the most interesting point in his statement was his issuing of a meeting with the Serbian leader, promising aid to the war stricken country. But with the mist of battle still not settled, what is the future of Yugoslavia? It is unknown what Marko Gajinović is planning to do.

Harold Saxon in Singapore
Above: Singapore, the new European ally against communism
By Daniel Lowr; Asian correspondent.
Just fresh off his inauguration as President, Harold Saxon, is starting his tour of the world. Visiting key locations around the world. Early this morning he touched down on the tarmac of Changi airport in Singapore. Met by thousands of European expats, and a honour guard by the Singaporean Armed Forces. Meeting with Prime Minister Tony Tan, at the Istana, the two talked for a couple of hours on the recent discussion of Mongolian, and how the free world with respond. Speaking to the press Harold Saxon stated;
Singapore has always been one of the bastions of freedom in Asia, it's free market economy is the envy of the world. It is essential that our two nations, work together to help keep creating jobs, keep the wheel of capitalism moving. My counterpart, and I have agreed that the threat to freedom and democracy is large, and we can no longer ignore it.
In their discussions, an agreement was signed between both nations, called the Free Asian Bloc Agreement. In this plan both nations plan to allow each other to construct military facilities, and will protect one another in the call of war. This agreement has already saw the creation of another agreement, signed under the Singaporean law, the creation of a European military base in Singapore. The European Protective base in Sembawang, this base will facilitate in the maintenance of European naval ships, and encampment of troops from the European legion.
The inclinations of this are monumental, now the European navy has influence in the pacific, with the recent Chinese incursion into Mongolia, European military forces have striking capabilities in the Pacific.

We are very happy to be able to attend the meeting in Serbia. King Michael I was unfortunately not able to attend himself, but we are sure we will achieve his expectations of a more peaceful eastern Europe. As Crown Prince I can assure the Romanian people share the opinion that a peaceful Balkan Region is the key for a peaceful Europe. We therefore support the Serbian intentions for such meetings as a matter of course.
Sincerely,
Crown Prince Radu of Romania
