EVENTS:

Australia begins research on advanced flight and improved engine technology. A giant, high-security prison is being built for an unknown region out in the western desert. The national tax rate is 15%. A large mineral vein is discovered and mining has begun.

Military spending is on the rise.

Dear Mexico, India,

Australia would like to express their interest in a military and economic alliance with you. If you do not agree, I am also willing to sell a great deal of opals and precious gems, as a new, large vein was recently discovered. Australia is in the market for steel and cut stone, as well.

Sincerely,
John Lyons, Prime Minister of Australia

New Delhi, India.

Narendera Modi is unanimously elected as the Prime Minister by the Right Wing BJP which swept the elections in the recently concluded Parliamentary Polls in India. Modi is a highly controversial figure. On the positives, he was considered to be one of the best chief minister in India, as he lead his state Gujarat to greater economic upheaval. Majority of Indians expect him to do the same to India.

On the flip side, under his rule in Gujarat, in a major riot, many Muslims were murdered by a Hindu extremist group. Although he was not directly responsible for those riots, Minorities in India believe that he did not do much to protect them. When he was the Chief Minister, he was even denied Visa twice by USA, as it considered he as a leader violated religious freedom in his state. It is going to be interesting to see how US and other countries are going to treat him, as he has been elected as the leader of the Largest Democratic country in the World.

In his first interview to the media, he did not speak about US or China though. He said, he wanted much closer relationship with fellow Common-wealth nations like Australia.

He said India and Australia can have closer relationships in the following Fields:

a) Having much better and easier access of Indian students to pursue Higher education in Australia.
b) Australian Government to provide much better security to Indian immigrants in Australia.
c) Co - operation between Navy of both the countries and formation of Indian Ocean Navy Co-Operation Organization between India, Australia and other countries sharing Indian Ocean coast line.
d) Co-Operation in Research, Energy Needs and Tourism.

He also pointed out he is ready to visit Australia in his first tour abroad as the Prime Minister.

Dublin, Ireland

Ireland's economy was crippled, with a huge debt, massive unemployment, emigration and a common public hatred for both the European and Irish governments the current parliament had a load on its plate. This was not helped by an IRA announcement made earlier in the day. They declared their bombing campaign in the North reactivated and had began recruiting members for a campaign of British withdrawal from Northern Ireland. Although the Republic could officially do nothing, that was never how business actually went down. An Taoiseach1 Enda Kenny ordered an emergency meeting in Leinster House2 with military officials, members of parliament and several heads of IRA branches to attend. The meeting was kept secret and lasted several hours. After the meeting, An Taoiseach made a public address to the nation in which he condemned the actions of the IRA and declared that the Republic should have no part in aiding these 'terrorists'. In harsh reality however, he was to supply them under the table with weapons, money and safety.

Chancellor Reinhard Von Ricther looked outside of his office window, overcast, light rain. The weather contrasted with the bright realities of Germany.

This was Von Ricther's second term, as he had been elected in 2005. In those seven years he had raised Germany's power and economy to record heights. One of the first things he did was under the table partly privatize several of Germany's largest automotive and arms manufacturers, by using a " puppet " corporation of sorts named Gez Benh, which was created, funded and controlled by the German government, said corporation brought much of the stocks of said companies. Other times he went directly to the CEOs of companies, such as Mercedes - Benz and Rheinmetall and offered to let them " bend " a few anti trust laws in exchange for their support. In the end said companies were much the same as before, as the government didn't interfere with the running of the actual companies, but had alot of influence over them. Shady but effective.

As the European Union flourished, so did Germany. Von Richter accelerated the efforts by employing workers constantly in a plan to slowly build up Germany's clean energy plants, such as solar and bio mass. In 2007, with collaboration with many car companies, foreign and domestic, Volkswagen released the Volkswagen Beetle Type 3E, an cheap, affordable hybrid electric car, which only needed ( relatively ) small amounts of oil to operate, being mostly powered by electricity.

The goverment itself also went under a small amounts of reforms, elimating a few unnecessary projects, programs and positions, making it more efficent in general.

With a small surplus of money, the government put much of it in the arts and culture of Germany. Reviving music halls and theaters and the such.

Later in 2010, the two plus agreement was amended and the German military was allowed an maximum of 500,000 active personal. It has not began to reach this limit, as it only has 365,000 active personal currently.

Finally, there was German Synthetic fuel. Using a refined, efficent and classifed method of turning coal and biomass into fuel, it's output being only slightly lower then conventional oil wells.

Indeed, the future was bright for Germany. But for how long?
I am from the United States, just so you know.

Male.

Send the prisoners and the money, and we will hold the convicts for as long or as little as wanted. Events

Drug Cartels continue to pass thorugh Mexico. 3 Innocents are killed in a shootout beetween two cartels

Police funding is increased by 10% for currently unknown reasons

An iron deposit is found in northern Mexico. Extraction is being prepared

Felipe sat deeply in his chair and gave a quiet sigh. It was nearing a new election time and though his efforts had helped Mexico into its time of democracy he could still see the country situation was dire.
The Drug Cartels where the main problem. Mexico was divided by it and was struggling to suppress the people involved. If Felipe cracked down on the cartels he would have much more control and greater support of the country. However he risked sliding back into a authoritarian regime, something he had worked hard to trasition away from.
'I must get support before the election or my postion here is doomed'

He looked down at his desk again noticing a letter that stood out. He unwrapped cooly and upon reading gave a small smile. Perhaps help from outside in certain ways could benefit him and Mexico.

To John Lyons, Prime Minister of Australia

We gladly except your alliance. We hope to intiate trade beetween us quite soon. May this agreement make us both prosper in the future

Sincerly
Felipe Calderon

The Shah of Iran, Mohammed IV is dead.

He died suddenly, in his sleep.

Now his student, Abdul Hamza will take over one of the most prominent nations in the Middle East.

Abdul Hamza hated the Americans.

They had killed his father, a Jihadist working in Iraq.

He had been taken under his wing, by the then student Mohamed.

Abdul is prepared to do anything to get revenge on those "bloody Yanks".

Will this be the end of the world??

Indian Prime Minister is very happy to have a cordial relationship with Australia. India agrees to have official alliance with Australia and Mexico if Mexico is fine with it.

Indian Navy invites Australian navy for a join training session in Chennai, a port in South India.

With India facing severe Energy crisis, the Government plans to expand the usage of Nuclear Energy and Green Energy to reduce its dependencies on fossil fuels. India wants to know, if Australia is ready to sell Uranium for the Nuclear Reactors in India.

India is worried that the Australian Government has declined to give better security to Indian immigrants. Indian Government is receiving reports that Indian immigrants are facing violent attacks by certain white supremacists in Australia. If Australian Government cannot guarantee the safety of Indians, Indian Government would be forced to issue a travel advisory for those visiting Australia.

Meanwhile, Indian Government has also decided in its cabinet meeting that no Indian criminal would be deported to Foreign Country for imprisonment.

Events

Extraction of iron is beggining. The resouces are being sent to multiple areas in industry including weapons

A large standoff beetween two drug cartels and the police. 5 police are killed and 6 injured. 33 innocents are killed ,many more injured and a nearby shop has been burned to the ground. A public outcry is called to crack down on the increasingly dangerous drug cartels.

Police are trained for combat situations. The employment of lawmen is steeply increasing

A group of protester where shoutig outside Felipe's house. He glared out the window before putting his hand over his face.
'The cartels need to be stopped and fast!'
However the elections where coming soon and Felipe would need to act fast otherwise his hopes of relection would be thrown out the door. It would be risky but he had little choice and there was not enough time for him lose popularity from the process should he step down from office.

Bridge End, Ireland

Bridge End is a small border town in County Donegal, the road leading into Northern Ireland was completely open, there is no police checkpoints, no military checkpoints, there isn't even a police station withing a five mile stretch either side. John Doherty was a well known man in the area. He was a wealthy man who made his fortune in the property boom, luckily he managed to escape before the collapse and now sits pretty in his retirement years on a large farm that reaches north and south of the border. This isn't what he's known for though. In 1968, John was arrested by the British authorities as interned without trial as being a member of the terrorist organisation the 'Irish Republican Army'. He was broken out by his comrades and escaped into the Republic again. He avoided arrest for a number of years and when the many treaties and agreements were signed bringing an ent to the Troubles, his name vanished from record and he was never looked at twice again. Still however, he lends a hand to his old friends whenever he can. In this instance, it involved letting five members assemble their equipment in one of the barns at his farm.

They put together their bombs, cleaned their rifles and loaded their magazines before loading everything into the back of a white Ford Transit van. The license plates on the van had been replaced with fake Northern ones. The driver hopped in and started the engine. Three of them climbed in the back and another one got in the passenger side. The van reversed out of the large shed and made their way into Derry city.

It took them no time to get there, under three minutes and they had crossed the border, another fifteen and they were at their target. A small army base just outside the city. It was the dead of night and there were just two guards on duty at the gate. The lifted their heads and took note as the van stopped just across the street. The nervous privates lifted their rifles at their sides and prepared to raise them as the back doors of the van swung open. Two men jumped out, dressed in woodland camo hunting trousers, black jackets and balaclavas and holding G3 battle rifles. They fired several quick shots taking down the guards. The man in the passenger seat pulled the top half of his body out of the window and rested an RPK on the roof, he lined up the sights with the gate and prepared to lay down some cover fire. The last man to swing into action was the teams technician, Martin. With a day job as an electrician and some make-shift training from the PLO in the late 80's he was perfectly suited to the job. He rushed out of the van with the bomb and planted it in the small cabin on the right. The alarm was sounded from inside the base and he scurried his way back into the back of the van, Just as the doors were closing, the gate opened to the base and a number of troops came out. They began firing at the escaping van and as the bullets ripped through the thin metal sides Martin pushed the detonator to the bomb. It exploded with a tremendous bang and a shock wave that knocked over a small tree planted a few meters down the street. The steel plating of the little cabin was blown outward sending shrapnel in every direction, hitting cars, houses and hopefully the troops too. The massive fireball raised up into the air and puffed out in a cloud of black smoke. It continued burning as residents came out to see the carnage.

Although Indian Government in concerned about the nuclear program and increased military spending of Iran, India would continue to purchase oil from Iran. Warmer diplomatic relations would be based on how Iran conducts itself in future, and India would closely work with Iran, if it wants to maintain friendly relations with other nations in the World.

U.S Military operations are Finishing in Afghanistan and they have been ended in Iraq,America was not looking to be sucked into another Middle-eastern war, especially since Mitt Romney was focusing on getting Americans back to work.He had already put in place 2 new economy plans and had cut taxes by 4%.His approval ratings were very high but it was just the beginning of his presidency. With tensions in Iran growing,he might be sucked into a war.He had said that he would take military action in Iran,if they did anything to threaten the world. Now,they had finished a nuclear program, but President Romney has not gotten any word on if it is being used for weapons.

Dear Iran,

What are your plans with your nuclear program? Weapons or just for power in Iran?
