Yeah, it'd make sense if both our Deathwatch characters were with the Inquisitor.

Oh and in terms of equipment i was thinking of an Assault cannon and a Chainfist and possibly a Cyclone Missile Launcher (all three can be fitted to Terminator armour.

you're in terminator? okay. not really something for a techmarine. :p
Curious and industrious, PMT sharks in an FT setting.
factbook is WiP. but a basic overview of our species is below:
population (remaining, estimated) 6000
State religion: not enforced but every member of the species follows the Cult of Pas Mathéma in some fashion.
Goverment type: Council of 5 heading a technocratic fuedalist society
Govermental sovereignty: protectorate of the 44th independant legion; large independant but ceding to them for interstellar politics and trade
Military power: on an FT schale next to nothing, since our total number of starships is for now 0.

Yeah, Dark Angels and their successors are the only chapters who's first company always go into battle in Terminator armour, i guess it wouldn't change for the Deathwatch. Anyway, a Techmarine will be helpful to have.

yes indeed. you need one, or a techpriest, to get into that armour in the first place.
I'll probably have aquila armour, servo-harness, bolt pistol, mechanicus power axe and a flamer. (I like flamers XD)

Yeah, that's a point I hadn't really thought about getting into the armour, i thought they wore it the majority (if not all) of the time.
though, going by the Codex (Dark Angels) you have a flamer as part of the servo harness (or something that can be used as a flamer.)

fycelite torch, yeah. but I'm slightly more hard-line on the mechanicus dogma myself (and as a consequence,so's my character) so no using tools for things they weren't made for. :p

Perhaps the Space Marines could be on the planet already. Say they are trapped by the traitor Guardsman and are unable to fight their way out, but they can hold their position because you know, they are Space Marines.

it'd have to be a large force of guardsmen, considering a normal space marine is probably worth at least 100 guardsmen, think about how much one terminator is worth, plus the Techmarine, that's a lot of firepower needed.

True, but they are not invincible. A tough location they are trapped in could easily prevent them from advancing. Even if they are worth a hundred men, it depends on the weapons wielded against them.

I know, there's the whole ammo problem as well, but i think it would be better if we arrived on a small ship, as we're both playing it from the Deathwatch, meaning we would have no real point on being there before.

If we go by fluff one tactical squad could decimate an insurrection. Two tactical squads faced off a C'tan and most of them died but the champions didn't and this is common ultramarines

Why not have the Space Marines arrive in a Gun-Cutter after a request from Bekrins Officio Inquisitorus Planetia but the Inquisitorial Office actually fell to the rebellious forces many days prior? It adds a back drop for the Space Marines cause they do not know the Officio was wiped out and gives them a perfect reason for being there.
