The Nexus of Man wrote:Ardavia wrote:"Our two superstates are a hedonistic shamelessly imperialistic post-apocalyptic United States who prioritize mobility, and a shamelessly imperialistic post-apocalyptic Soviet Union ruled by Stalin in AI form who have excellent equipment for all their troops. The other major players are the Caliphate, islamistic bastards who have lots of cheap forces, the European Federation, pretty much the EU-gone-imperialistic with similar tech to the NFE, and the USSA, who don't deserve much mention because they don't really do much and no one likes to play them anyway. Then there's the Republic of Antarctica, which used to be a splinter of pre-War civilization, and today they're pretty much a part of Ardavia, meaning they provide a few units for that army list. Oh, and the Ardavians, but I don't need to mention them, do I, since you're already playing them? Yeah, those are the major factions. Now get to rolling."
~GM explaining Imperialism, a popular tabletop wargame, to a new player. Think WH40k with our canon factions.
Where are we?

"3rd Edition, among other things, included flyers, which are not worth it because they're vulnerable to infantry fire, do shit against entrenched units unless they're bombers and really only serve to fight other flyers, and came together with the Codex: Nexus, which introduces the Nexus of Man. They're sort of like the Ardavians, but most of their units are relatively cheap glass cannon drones compared to the heavier infantry of other nations, but they're absolute monsters in terms of attack capabilities in general. As an example, their Nihon no Zangai is an absolute monster at close range. Compared to the Frenkish Zealot and the Ardavian Assault Marine, the Nihon no Zangai is capable of carving through infantry with even more ease, but it's a glass cannon, because it can't take punishment like the Marine and it doesn't have the sheer mobility of a Zealot with jetpack."

(I don't actually have any idea what capabilities your units have, so I made some up.)
