I think we should do one of the following:

1) Move back to Aurentina, and restart where we left off.

2) Begin drafting the World State idea, based on Great Nepal, Persivis, and Kravica's ideas. (Perhaps we should discuss it in the IRC or start another thread).

3) Start fresh on an island near Australia or an island in the Pacific or the Caribbean.

Nummer zwei gefällt mir.

But number one works too, and atleast we'd have the constitution and penal code set up and we wouldn't have to make up a backstory. We have a culture already ready. Number three would be my last choice.

Or we could let the select one who like Aurentina return to that and establish ties with Baltonia?

That would be interesting, but we may not have enough members to govern both nations.

Number one under these conditions:

It would be a completely new, rebooted Aurentina, set in the North Sea. The culture and language would be mostly the same, just not the geography. I don't really care if we will use the same map as last time or not - if you could get Hippo or somebody to draw up a new one, that'd be cool, but I wouldn't be opposed to keeping the old one. The parties would all be brand new of course. I don't think we should start it up now, rather I think we should wait a bit until we can collect as much support - from old senate members to new - and restart it after school restarts in NA.

I'm open to anything and willing to lead the charge on getting some new movement.

This is pretty much where we're at. I've heard more support for #1 than the others, but they both have support as well. Before we start moving into the overall concept, however, I think we need to get some style details ironed out. How much realism do we want? How much crime will we allow? Do we want the RP to start with founding documents or build them from the start? Do we want someone (I've volunteered) to remove themselves from the legislature and instead act as a permanent outside contact so that our new nation can have international relations?

I'll remove from the legislature and act like as a permanent outside contact so then I can move in to claim Aurentina or whatever nation for the Empire of New Canada.

As in one volunteer to one country? No. We'll have only a couple, if more than one at all. They'd divide up their responsibilities by region or affiliation.

Just some ideas for the World State, based on ideas other users have presented. Thoughts? I know it still needs a lot of work, so anything helps.

History

The Crimea Crisis in Ukraine led to worldwide Cold War, which lasted nearly a century. Anti-Russian militants carried out a terrorist attack in Moscow, which Russia blamed on the United States, which led to an all out war. Nukes flew and essentially made world inhabitable however as majority of nations have space programs they escaped in limited capacity to refugee of space stations. However governments attempted to continue the war since resources were quite scarce and additional air was quite welcome as well but the people who had seen destruction on earth were unwilling to have same thing in last refuge of humanity. The peace movement (as it was known in the day) thus overthrew the governments in joint assults establishing a truce and resource sharing agreement (those stations without significant peace movement) soon fell against combined might of most powerful alliance seen in history. Overtime the alliance grew to a universal government which continued as after centuries humanity returns to earth from which on spots is habitable.

Soon after, a group of anti-globalist militants hijacked space-craft used by the World State and landed on Mars, attempting to establish a colony. After failing horribly at independence, the separatists requested help from the World State, which was granted, under the condition that the Martian Colony remained under the World State's jurisdiction. However, after years of operation, some members of the Martian colony began calling for secession, along with some supporters on Earth. This led to rising tensions between the Martian Colony and the World State.

Fast forward two centuries and while parts of world are still uninhabitable, parts controlled by disenchanted milita, for large part is under governance of world state. Increased tensions between Martian Colonists and World State supporters has led to political support for separation.

Political System

The NSG Senate under the World State shall consist of two governments. One governing the World State and one governing the Martian Colony. Each Senator in the World Senate shall represent a different province in the World State

See This Map.

Each Senator in the Martian Colonial Senate shall represent a different region on Mars.
