"Nobody goes hungry here, and nobody is discriminated against on basis of parentage, color, or creed, unless you happen to be black, homosexual, or anything else "deviant" like that which they have a problem with. Welcome to the Federal Republic."

- A mocking sign posted illegally on the border with a neighboring state.

"In the Federal Republic Navy in the late nineteen hundreds, homosexuality was rampant in the Fleet. It was so bad that mothers would not let their sons enlist in the Navy until the Navy cleaned its act up. On board ship the Navy found that there are three things unacceptable to good order and discipline and its impact on readiness. You cannot have a thief aboard, you cannot have a drug user or a drug pusher, and we found out you could not have a homosexual aboard."

- Admiral Stephen Ford, F.R.N.

"With consent from the government of Honduras; the 1st Mixed Battalion made it's way to Puerto Cortés...all by being inside a convoy of cramped dry cargo boats. It took more time to actually maneuver out of the specialized boats than it did going to the main destination, the Grand Stadium of San Pedro City, in which, the large and prepped convoy made in about five hours solely due to civilian vehicles. The Battalion could have made it to the capitol in less than a day at that pace if we just treaded, however we're planning on sending the logistic support and supplies to actually carry this out...and the trip is a bit more than a day with these pairs of boats making to and fro journeys. After that we'll send another Battalion-sized force and then more supplies. By the end of the week, we could even begin to transport aviation...and our forces will actually be a slight bit more than 1% of our active forces. We're only trusting the Hondurans with not getting in our way and preparing makeshift airfields they believe will be solely for cargo helicopters. Questions?

No.

We're planning on actually seperating the initial battalion, and sending a half of their forces to the capital city's stadium. The other battalion will replace the halves...and two battalion sized forces will be in the major cities of the country in some 16 days at this steady pace, not to mention the air staff...and the capitol city's main stadium has also been secured by air-dropped forces, as going with the shock and awe doctrine four platoons of over 60 paratroopers have made it there, with BTRs thanks to our heavy transports. In days, that stadium will be the base of operations for it's most dangerous region. By the end of the month, we'll have control of the skies; and we're actually planning on sending our drones to patrol and to spy electronically, and wings of transport helicopters and ground-attack craft. Not to mention interceptors.

Ground attack craft?

Mil-25s and Frogfoots mostly...we could send around 6 out of 30 and 10 out of 35, our transport helicopters equally around 5 out of 30. This will actually be a bit strangulating for the smaller air force than our ground forces, but we are not expecting advanced anti-air capabilities from criminals and the shock-and-awe campaign is expected to begin.

The first...are...jets and helicopters?

The other way around but, yes.

But these areas are densely populated.

Don't be naive, my Premier. You see, the craft will serve as shock and awe. They'll have the range to attack ground-based and sea-based vehicles of suspicious designation, to make those trafficking routes a bit of a hassle. Not to mention that a few of those few will ominously fly around while we do missions on the ground. We sincerely believe nobody will be stupid enough to attack us while a Mil 25 is on the air, Hell...if it were up to me, even Mil 8 transports with mounted guns and rockets should be more than sufficient. However our esteemed Air Staff wants to shine every once in a while as well.

And what are the chances of them provoking us and using civilians as a human shield? I want a report on that, and I want briefings and meetings from the high military command on this respect. I understand that in the first predicted engagements, civilian casualties may be considerable."

-Montserrat Zorilla and Staff

"Let me tell you all something: I've trained pilots in Honduras, Nuestro Salvador, Colombo, Bolivaria, México, Costa Calmada...and they are all the same! Their fathers and their sons are the same: they view the rats as daily life, and at most...as nuisances! Your fathers and grand-fathers were different in the 80s! We were free, but indoctrinated. We cleaned the cartels with efficiency and an iron fist not because we believed in justice, but because your predecessors viewed them as 'part of the imperialist plot' to stagnate our then newly risen nation. Local narcos were worse than foreigners, because at least foreigners didn't stab the people that nurtured them in the back! Those people were seen as little more than worthless parasites due to a near-fanatical zeal and a latent xenophobia. Those people were collaborators whose only wish was death! That is how we solved the 80s on our own, that is our national pride.

Nowadays, lobbyists and politicians talk of newly found mountains of lead, zinc, and gold that will sustain our big industries for years and years to come and how the energy industry will be opened up in Central America. We'll have a lot of cleaning up to do and now that we have the money to invest, we'll give it what we've got is what the High Staff is thinking...as they cry and cry about the Explosion of the 120 using it as a pretext. Others will say this is a just mission to avenge the 120, either way, the Hondurans fear us more than they do the cartels...and they've permitted us to do it our way. You saw the briefing on the roads and the airfields, so I ask of you to eliminate all political and social thoughts.

You have one mission and one mission only. Remember the 1980s, and now we'll spread our version of the 1980s. Remember people like that thought they could bully us into a meek compliance, us, our services, and our whole nation...into a ground of activities that would have drained out nation of blood and sweat and hard work. That is our mission, the same it was in the 1980s. We'll teach those compliant dogs how to de-parasite themselves! We'll send any vermin who opposes us to Hell! We feel bad for our Army, because they'll pussyfoot around civilians. We'll only give them Hell! Now, get to your vehicles and send them all to the deepest and fieriest pit of Hell!

-An air Major

"This early morning, five Xian H-6 recon planes, the whole of our 'big'-air force, bombed makeshift airfields around Honduras in a coordinated assault. The use of thermobaric bombs and anti-personnel cluster munitions launched from planes; all objects which were supposedly for defensive purposes only have received an innumerable number of complaints. The Honduran embassy has closed for the day despite it's willingness to let the intervention go by by all means necessary, environmental groups have protested over the use of the chemicals of the explosives in the jungle regions, the complaints of the OEA have been echoed diversely by the international community. And even at home there is much unhappiness with this act, many critics saying that the damage done by organized crime is not only physical but structural and that the bombings or the landings will prove to do more harm to a festering wound.

Mixed reports have come: The PR Sun has called it: 'The Magical Trail and Operation Mini-Linebacker', Nuestros Días headlines read 'Striking Blow to Organized Crime', and Vaya reports that the 'Hondurafhan Adventure Begins'..."

"Contrary to popular belief, there were in fact human warriors who used horned helmets. Notably, the Teutonic Knights. Now, most warriors wouldn't put big flashy horns and wings on their helms due to weight issues and the fact that it helps the enemy hook on to your head. But then again, the Teutonic Knights were fucking insane."

"No gods. Only man.

Man, who came into this world without any fur. So man took fire from the sky to keep us warm.

Man, who wasn't born with any claws to keep them safe. So man took metals from the Earth to make our own.

Man, who soon proved that they were too sophisticated for the Animal Kingdom. So man carved great kingdoms of our own.

Man, who was born without wings and destined to never touch the clouds. So man built great rockets to go farther than the clouds, and kiss the stars themselves.

Man, who was destined to die in the fires of apocalypse. So man lived on to create civilizations greater than any seen before.

No gods. Only man.

"Weird Not-so-fun fact. The battalions which are expected to work, are of course, under the command of a Colonel. However, because of mass Soviet training in the 1960s...or as a childishly bizarre 'one-up', the rank of Coronel (Colonel) was since changed in name to Polkovik. "

"Not that it matters much, the uniform used in the campaign will be a modified 'afghanka' still common in our armed forces, albeit with a tropical pixel camo, we still use a modernized form of the SSh 68, the Type 88 Armor, Type MM and Type MM II are little more than licensed copies of the 6B5, 6B11, and 6B12 personal armored systems.

What was projected to be sent can't be considered any better when it comes to the manifesto and the mixed mechanized forces, which is really around half or less of an actual armored batallion. Around thirty BMP-3Fs, six T-80Us, twelve BTR-94s, over a dozen modified UAZ general multipurpose vehicles, and four heavy APCs. Long range radar systems like the 96L6E, despite the fact no SAMs will be shipped...and a lot of Ural trucks. The projected air support will all be made up of dozens of toys that were 'Made in Russia'.

The only truly 'Palmeran' thing to use will be the buttloads of solar-powered and locally produced UAVs, most of these probably modified to be spectral spies. With IR, and various electronic ears."

"I have an idea. Wasn't exactly like you, this one lad was born into royalty of a mostly backwater kingdom. Still, obsessed about glory and being a hero like his dear-old-dad. Even fought a horde of hellish creatures from the underground as well. Fuck, he even wore golden armour, that was something you did when you were king too."

"Really? How long did he last?"

I... I don't even think he was in his thirties before that ogre crushed him in the palm of its hand."

"... Yeah, that's probably how long I would've lasted. Wait, was this in my universe or-"

"Out of this one. Sorry, I forget you only have divine immortality, not divine perception."

"... Seriously, are you sure you don't know how to kill me?"

"Well, I have a few theories, but the least harmful involve killing three whole universes to do it. Unlike you, I still retain my urge of self-preservation. Sorry."
