I've decided to be nice.

This is for Senators Questions etc. Only

Next time there are arguments over whether or not Stalin was or wasn't a monster, next time someone advocates genocide: next time we get into an argument or a debate - and not the questions for a Senator's profile, then anyone involved in it is removed.

He now can't be because as far as I can tell the forums which he was running have been shut down - and we thus only have the confession of a mob leader, and a recording of a shifty conversation with which to charge him with membership of a criminal organisation.

Freddos, the well used and officially recognised currency of the UK. And I'm not joking. I know a couple of people who will literally work out something's price in Freddos, admittedly both my cousins and both under the age of eight.

What are your views on bayonets?

Brutal, yet effective. I'd hope that the Aurentine armed forces used them not only ceremonially but in training and urban warfare.

I've only used a bayonet once, but it saved my life. We were in Afghanistan, Helmand province, and my platoon had been called in as part of a small operation. With an armoured company from the first and an infantry from my regiment, that being the Royal Regiment of Scots, we had to secure a remote mountain village, then find and destroy the weapons cache in the village. The village fell quickly, with only a handful of resistance which we quickly cleared up, with only one wounded if I remember right. However, as we advanced we were put under fire and it became clear that we' not secured the village, the Afghans had simply retreated to a complex around the mosque on the northern edge of the village. I led my platoon with another platoon of infantry around the complex and, as the rest of the infantry took the main archway, we blew down a section of the wall, eliminating the Afghans in the courtyard with a hammer and anvil.

Unfortunately, though we numbered roughly four hundred men with armoured support, we were ordered not to assault the compound as we did not have clear statistics on the number of men inside or if there were civilians. After playing the waiting game for half an hour, with an occassional exchange of fire from a minaret window or doorway, we received news that they'd thermo-scanned the complex from the air and decided that there were no women or children inside, yet about fifty armed men. Assaulting it, we could easily lose as many as we killed in the tight corridors, so instead my platoon laid charges around the edge. As I placed a satchel charge by one of the many archways, one of the Afghans stepped outside with an AK, I think it was an AKM to be specific. As far as they knew, we were still besieging the compound and he looked directly past me at another of my platoon who was with me. Panicking, the Afghan jumped back while spraying an entire magazine into and around the man next to me. I seized my weapon as the man stepped out again, with a friend, and drove my bayonet hard into his stomach while kicking his friend's legs away. As the rest of the house seemed to wake with shouts, likely calling everyone to my position, I drove my shoulder into the now dying man's friend and made him drop his gun, before dragging the screaming man back to behind cover. As the Afghans poured out in the compound, my platoon rushed back and I detonated the charges.

Though my bayonet had saved my life, my platoon soldier who received the bullet wounds rather than me had his body discovered later. When I blew the charges, I'd been sure he'd taken at least twenty bullets, including a few to the face, yet examination of the corpse was inconclusive to whether he'd been killed in the blast.

((sorry, answer in the first three sentences then I just decided to ramble on.))

Any Questions from the Public to be answered?
  • Why do you live in Italy when you are an Aurentine senator? Does that no restrict your work and your communication with the public?
Well, i will live here only for a couple of months, hence i hope i'll manage to stay in touch with the people who trusted me and elected me, and to keep myself updated about Aurentine and its events.
  • If you had to move to any other nation where would you go?
Well, i'd very much like to go back to Kaliningrad, my birthplace. But i'm not really sure, i love Prague, Vienna and Florence, too.
  • What is your opinion of the Market Socialist Party?
Personally, i feel that there would be some space in a Communist Society for some of the theories of the Market Socialists.
  • How do you view the theories and works of Karl Marx?
As a Communist, i am greatly inspired by his works.
  • If you could implement one law in Aurentina, what would it be?
Probably the Economic Democratisation Act, of the ones that were proposed in the Parliament.
  • What is your opinion of the bayonet?
While very impressive as weapons, i'm really indifferent to bayonets.

A bottle of soda costs more then $20 in england? What the hell, you can get a large pizza, a 2 litter soda bottle, wings and cheesy bread for a bit less then $20 bucks in the US!
