Liberate Eternal Scholars

Category: Liberation | Nominee: Eternal Scholars | Proposed By: Kaboomlandia

The World Assembly,

Noting that the goal of repealing the liberation of Eternal Scholars was to allow the natives of the region to place a password on it, allowing them to keep their community safe,

Shocked that Eternal Scholars was raided midway through the voting period of the repeal,

Wishing to liberate Eternal Scholars to remove any possibility of the occupying force imposing another password, allowing the regional natives to once again reclaim their region,

The World Assembly hereby liberates Eternal Scholars.

Purpose of this is a failsafe if we can't swing the vote in time and the repeal passes with TI in power. I plan to immediately ram it through if the repeal passes.

We will support this, should it become necessary.

On another note, your last clause is in need of a period.

Thank you.

I know - I'm trying to encourage Euro's WA members to vote it down.

This is just a failsafe if it does pass.

As the co-author of the current proposal at vote, I fully support this fail-safe proposal until The Invaders are no longer a threat to Eternal Scholars. After that, me and Sygian II will most likely resubmit our amended proposal when we can ensure the safety of Eternal Scholars, especially during the voting period.

Can confirm.

Don't forget to add region tags for ES.
Shocked that The Invaders raided the region midway through the voting period of the Repeal,

Typo: there are 2 spaces between 'shocked' and 'that'. There's also a passive voice problem.
Wishing to liberate Eternal Scholars to remove any possibility of The Invaders imposing another password, allowing the regional natives to once again reclaim their region,

The World Assembly hereby Liberates Eternal Scholars.

All fixed.

Ideally, the proposal fails and I don't have to submit this, but it's good to have it ready just in case - 10,000 votes is a tall order.

I support this proposal (if we get the other one repealed)!

Edited to remove any references to TI.

May I ask why you suggest these arbitrary miscapitalizations?

Reading back through it, the two 'repeal's don't need to be capitalized. And you already quoted my explanation for the mistake:

That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works.

I completely support this. However, it does not appear that we'll need it.

Well.
On second thought, that makes sense.
Obviously, you don't want to vote on Repeal 'Repeal 'Repeal 'Repeal 'Liberate Eternal Scholars

Basically, what'll happen is:

- Eternal Scholars will need to be liberated again, which is what this seeks to do.
- Once we actually know the natives have control, then we can repeal it again.

I wrote a liberation for this and submitted it, however, I asked it to be pulled. Feel free to use any clause in my draft so long as you credit me.

My proposal:

The World Assembly Security Council,

Realizing the attack on Eternal Scholars threatens to destroy that celebrated region.

Citing the factbook entry of Eternal Scholars, which reads: "Now under permanent control by The Invaders

Wishing to enforce this august body's creed, "Spreading interregional peace and goodwill, via force if necessary",

Believing that the invasion of Eternal Scholars requires the enforcement of this creed,

Hereby Liberates Eternal Scholars

My pleasure.

If you're going to do something, do it properly rather than some half-arsed effort.

I am very happy to say that it looks like the repeal at vote is safely failing and I won't need this.
