At approx. 130AM EST on 12/03/2016 The Invaders raided the region Eternal Scholars. As the Eternal Scholars is currently under a Liberation it can not be imposed with a password by the Delegate. However, in 2 days time that restriction will likely be lifted {if the current vote trend were to continue} and would allow The Invaders to impose one, thus potentially closing off the region to the natives indefinitely. Clearly, it is too soon to remove the restriction; and therefore the liberation should remain in effect.

In the midst of this vote, Eternal Scholars was raided once again. Clearly it is too soon to allow for a delegate-imposed password, and therefore the liberation should remain in effect. At this point repealing the resolution will give the raiders an opportunity to lock down the region from any who would seek to save it.

For these reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote against the resolution.

Tinhampton - in their status as a World Assembly Delegate with 10 votes as of the time of writing - has switched their vote to being AGAINST the repeal of "Liberate Eternal Scholars". A statement from our Delegate-Ambassador:

My original reasons for voting for this repeal was mainly based on how any invader threat was removed. At one point, this resolution was 93-7 for! However, given that the Invaders have since taken over indefinitely, and they have no plans to at least give natives some autonomy, I believe that it is best to keep this liberation in place, and then draft another one at a more appropriate time.

Tinhampton is voting against this resolution, and also strongly urge other members of the Federation's Assembly of Nations to vote against it. However, this opinion is not binding, and Tinhampton cannot and will not throw you into the flames of the Rejected Realms for failing to vote the same way as them.
