[DRAFT] Automatically Repeal Liberations

Postby Ochea » Mon Jun 20, 2016 6:35 am

I have realized that many of the resolutions in the WA Security Council are just "repeal regional liberation" resolutions, and they usually end with the liberation being repealed.

Security Council Proposal: Automatically Repeal Liberations

NOTICING that resolutions that repeal regional liberations appear frequently in the Security Council;

REALIZING that such resolutions frequently slow down the Security Council and prevent some regions that have been taken over by hostile forces from receiving much need aid;

ALSO REALIZING that a region does not need a liberation resolution to remain in place after they have been liberated and are able to set entry restrictions to keep out hostile forces;

Would automatically repeal regional liberation resolutions two weeks after they have been implemented, to prevent such resolutions from frequenting the Security Council to allow it to focus on more important matters.

Hello, and welcome to the security council! I suggest you read the rules that a proposal must follow, found here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8809

And inform you that the entire premise behind your proposal is an R3 violation.

R2, not R3.

Actually the way it's written it's both R2 and R3.

I'd say R4 as well, since this does not represent the views of the WA.

Assuming that the first paragraph isn't part of the proposal, I do not see any R4 violations.

Even though this proposal is against the rules, I think this is better than any of the submitted proposals in the WA right now...

I'm pretty sure proposals can't change game mechanics.

Yes, Rule 2 section C specifically says that technical issues cannot be put in SC resolutions, and Rule 3 states that SC resolutions cannot do anything other than Commend, Condemn, Liberate or Repeal.

As this is a suggestion to change game mechanics, rather than an actual proposal, this really should be in technical. Locked.
