[PROPOSAL] Commend Caelapes

Postby Jutomi » Thu Apr 14, 2016 12:52 pm

Commend Caelapes

A resolution to recognize outstanding contribution by a nation or region.

Category: Commendation | Nominee: Caelapes | Proposed by: Jutomi

Description: This is a resolution which will, if passed, commend the nation of Caelapes.

Understanding that they are a communist nation,

Amazed at how the nation has gained the popular vote in all 4 of the voting tournament rounds for election of Security General,

Applauding that they are a very democratic nation despite many nation's believes that communism restricts that,

Enjoying the fact that they are pro-anime,

Noticing that a resolution to condemn this nation has already been disapproved by the majority of nations,

Concluding that the nation of Caelapes shall be commended!

I'd like to note three things.
1. I'm a newbie at this, also hi :3
2. I misspelled "nation's believes" as a mix between "nations believe" and "nations' belief", but I recognized this too late.
3. I actually did not vote for Caelapes, I voted for The Salaxalans. :P

I figured I would bring this to the attention of the forums on account of spreading the word that it, indeed, does exist,
and while I am definitely not pro-communist, I still figured that, considering that the above and the fact that I've already seen another
"Condemn Caelapes" up for approval, I decided to ask if anyone would like to commend them instead. :)

That is all. ^-^

No. The election was two weeks ago. Stop trying to make resolutions out of it. >:(

Usually this would be followed with a "but blah blah blah" or whatever, but you went straight on to the next argument. Acknowledging something controversial and addressing something controversial are two different things.
Amazed at how the nation has gained the popular vote in all 4 of the voting tournament rounds for election of Security General,

And I was top 3 for 3 of them and top 5 overall. It isn't that impressive, especially for the first 3 rounds where any gameplayers had access to their puppets.
Applauding that they are a very democratic nation despite many nation's believes that communism restricts that,

Lots of nations are democracies. Just because he is more democratic than those he is associated with does not make him any more democratic.
Enjoying the fact that they are pro-anime,

Half the site is pro-anime.
Noticing that a resolution to condemn this nation has already been disapproved by the majority of nations,

Tit-for-tat argument, I refuse to acknowledge it.

I would like to attempt to correct this abstract piece of work I discovered.

Commend Caelapes

A resolution to recognize outstanding contribution by a nation or region.

Alright, I do see that the joke was taken a bit too far.
To be honest, I didn't actually read the rules regarding how serious the proposals were.
As such, given I, the leader of this nation, am not "serious", I have resigned from the World Assembly
and handed membership to another member of the region.
And, as of now, they're not even the delegate. This'll hopefully give me and the related
nations' "leaders" time to carefully rethink my/our actions as well as reread the World Assembly information thoroughly.
I do apologize if this joke has gone too far!

Well, more "fun" than "funny".
