Commend Ever-Wandering Souls

Remembering that on April 27, 2015, the nations of Bob Moran and General Halcones simply ceased to be forever, leaving a void in The Black Riders that left the region open and vulnerable;

Chronicling the events of April 27, 2015, when the nations of Bob Moran and General Halcones simply ceased to be, followed by a well-publicized raid of The Black Riders that was spearheaded by UnitedGermanRegions, who was able to rally nations from dozens of regions to, ironically, raid the most infamous raider region in the world;

Noting that after UnitedGermanRegions simply up and quit in mid-May of the same year, the replacement, Pontacium went mad, trying to hand control of the region to DEN, which former members of The Black Riders have been using as their new base to this day. Following this, Pontacium was replaced by Harenhime, who instituted a new, democratic constitution in The Black Riders.

Realizing that the nation of Harenhime is controlled by the nation of Ever-Wandering Souls, a prominent member of The Black Hawks;

Acknowledging that in July 2015, Harenhime successfully took the region back into raider hands, on behalf of The Black Hawks for RaiderCon 2015;

Recognizing that Ever-Wandering Souls is close to pulling off an exemplary refound of the world's most famous raider region, with less than a hundred nations remaining in The Black Riders, of which the majority are raiders endorsing Harenhime;

Applauding the nation of Ever-Wandering Souls as a mentor and teacher in the practice of raiding other regions;

The World Assembly hereby commends Ever-Wandering Souls.

"May I remind the Security Council that commending a raider will undo the good work this body has done in protecting the liberties and the rights of those who have been victimized and bullied by raiders", Lucy Bridge says as she addresses the representatives to the Security Council.

That's exactly my point. There is so much of an anti-raider bias these days in the SC. It's time to change that.

As much as I'd love to have an SC badge, I myself find it hard to find much IC stuff I've done that's exactly commendable

I mean I hang around in technical some, and keep meaning to write a few guides *note to self, put API recruitment guide on to-do list again*, but.... I mean, I raid

I honestly have to agree with Luxdonia on this one. Commending a known raider will not only work against the Security Council's policies of enforcing peace and goodwill, via force if nessecary, but will also ruin the legitimacy of the Security Council. The mere fact that this resolution is portraying The Black Riders, who sacked and vandalized countless regions, as victims and then praising the guy (I think) who is leading the charge to restore them to prominence is enough to give most defenders a migraine.

However, if you dropped everything in the resolution that has anything to do with TBR and instead focused on the truly commendable things EWS has done, I would definitely support it. To explain, EWS is active in Technical and Gameplay, offering assistance to new nations and answering the questions that people have.

Also, FYI: General Halcones and Bob Moran didn't simply cease to exist, they were deleted by the moderators for violating API recruitment rules.

Do a bit of research to find out more. Unfortunately, NS has gone a long time without using a valuable documentation tool, NSwiki, and major feats performed by some current players are not readily accessible. I suggest asking some of these individuals personally, especially if you want to submit a concise draft quickly.

To those stating that commending a raider is impossible, would destroy the legitimacy of the SC, et cetera - I Invite you to look up and read resolution # 169, and almost more so, all the failed attempts to repeal it. Commending a nation who raids is quite possible, and unless the SC is already an illegitimate, corrupted body (which is an argument for another day), won't change things too much if done again.

That said, there's far better candidates for such an effort than me

Unfortunately this resolution will fail for two reasons.

Firstly it is poorly written consisting mostly of fluff and padding. If EWS is worthy of a commendation then please do the research necessary to show this. Secondly many people will look at who the author is and vote against it based on his reputation.

He actually has a pretty good reputation. Probably the most favorably viewed invader in NS currently. Of course, with the return of Severisen to TBH, EWS will have steep competition.
