Commend Funkadelia

To the Security Council,

ACKNOWLEDGING Funkadelia's undying commitment to restore democracy in Lazarus.
ADMIRING Funkadelia's efforts to liberate Lazarus, alongside Kazmr and several others, after a coup d'état conducted by Stujenske and his supporters.
RECALLING that Funkadelia was the leader of Lazarus before the coup, then later serving as head diplomat in Taijitu.
THANKING Funkadelia for restoring age-old embassies with other regions, which were severed during the coup in Lazarus, in which include:
-The North Pacific
-The Rejected Realms
-The South Pacific
-Taijitu
-10000 Islands
RECOGNIZING Funkadelia's achievements before and after the coup regardless.
AFFIRMING that such achievements should be commended and be recognized by the World Assembly,

Hereby commends Funkadelia

ACKNOWLEDGING Funkadelia's dying commitment to bring Lazarus into an era of democracy.

We had one before the PRL :P
ADMIRING Funkadelia's efforts to liberate Lazarus, alongside Kazmr, after a coup d'état conducted by Stujenske.

Wasn't just Stu.
RECALLING that Funkadelia was the leader of Lazarus before the coup.

No he wasn't, Stu was. Technically i was a leader of Laz before the coup too.....years ago. Same as EW.
THANKING Funkadelia for restoring age-old embassies with other regions, which were severed during the coup in Lazarus.

Not much to thank there, anyone can accept in-game embassies.
AFFIRMING that such noble actions should be commended and be recognized by the World Assembly,

Funk....noble?

Dying commitment? Don't you mean undying commitment?

I was about to point that out myself. I don't know about you, but I am not ready to die for a fictional organization anytime soon. :p

No. Writing a resolution is a marathon, not a sprint.

I do believe Funkadelia had other achievements before the coup. I just can put my finger on it.. :?

Ok, I think its ready to go. However, we need to know if this corresponds with the rules of submitting proposals. Here are some questions to keep in mind:
Does this proposal correspond with the rules and guidelines of the Security Council?
Is the grammar used in the proposal appropriate?
Does this proposal have a true and reasonable purpose?

Alright, I made my final revision, now time to submit.
Before I do, I would like to thank the NationStates Community for helping me with my proposal. Hopefully someday, I may need your help again.

I'm confused as to why you waited just a little over 24 hours before submitting this draft. Many proposals can take up to a week or more before they're good for submission, and even so, that does not guarantee the draft will reach quorum. Hence why your proposal was docked for a rules violation (editing in "his supporters" after some corrections and clarifications made by DYP). Even with that correction, though, I do not believe this is ready for submission. It simply does not have enough "meat" to the proposal. And the whole embassy restoration business is rather minimal - I am sure there are some more important stuff Funk has done that would more closely merit the nation a commendation.

Funkadelia isn't deserving of this for sure. He's always been a bit of an unapologetic extremist and has presided over some pretty terrible periods in PRL history.

I encourage everyone to vote against this if it goes to vote. Funkadelia hasn't responded to any of my lurid love telegrams, or responded to any of my sultry, breathy voicemail messages. :( :(

Well, I personally think that that alone warrants a condemnation. :p

What purpose would this actually serve? He already got a hearty pat on the back from everyone who he actually cares about, and most of the game cheered for his victory (or the NPO's loss).
The only thing this could possibly do is serve the Security Council and the author by giving them some relevance.

Against reaching quorum, vote, etc.
