Statement regarding 'Passed Security Council Resolutions'

Hello, this is Charlotte Ryberg speaking:

It is with deep sadness that I must retire from position as the custodian of the Passed Security Council Resolutions (PSCR) thread, because of the perilous state of my mental and physical health in real life. That was not an easy decision to make when I have university as well.

I have tried my best to keep the PSCR thread updated for as long as I can, but in recent months my mental and physical health has deteriorated to a state where I need to specifically cut back on time-sensitive responsibilities in order to reduce the emotional pressure on my mind.

In addition to being permanently disabled, my mental health problems is not something that I make it disappear in a few days, due to the trauma that I went through when I was young. Recently, I have been taking the state of my mental health more seriously and this has left me with less time for time-sensitive roles.

I feel that if I were to remain the custodian of the PSCR thread, players will grow increasingly concerned about me neglecting the thread. I feel that it is better to announce my current state of health and step down from maintaining the PSCR thread, before players complain without being aware of the real-life problems I am facing.

Anyone who wishes to succeed me in maintaining the PSCR thread may freely import the posts that I have made for nearly six years. I do not claim copyright on them because it is on NationStates, and sharing is caring. However, there may be some NSwiki.net references that may need removing for obvious reasons.

And may I assure you that I am not leaving NationStates for the foreseeable future, because I enjoy your company. I will do my best to remain a positive member of the community in the forums, doing more relaxing projects like NSindex.net, and look forward to the potential transformation of the World Assembly General Assembly and the opportunities that may lay ahead.

What I need now is greater flexibility on NationStates to cater for my awareness about my current state of health, with the aim to get myself back together again and live a confident life and continue be part of the NationStates community.

I'd be willing to toss my hat in to take up responsibility for the thread, I've played NS a long time and follow the SC regularly. I feel this is something up my ally, and i'd be happy to run it.

The SC won't be the same without you, Char. You were here from the beginning and kept things impartial even though the SC has been tumultuous at times. That's commendable in of itself.

If the SC needs a new custodian, I'm willing to help out in that regard.

Just out of curiosity, what does this job involve doing? Just Posting passed resolutions? (I don't actually want to do this, I'm just curious)

I wrote the first SC resolution (at vote), so your argument fails.

Sadly, my duties as the GA resolution and WA ambassador cataloger keep my plate full as it is, so you are wise to entertain alternate choices. Besides, I think JPL only nominated me as a punishment.

As the author of the very first SC proposal ever (which admittedly didn't make quorum) I feel I am strongly qualified for the role. I volunteer my services and definitely promise not to abuse the position to point out that the SC shouldn't exist, definitely. Promise.
