Noting that Anne Frank has been seized by a coalition of fascist and Nazi forces;

Observing that Pauline Bonaparte is currently serving as the leading nation in efforts to free Anne Frank from fascist and Nazi forces;

Acknowledging that Pauline Bonaparte is the best chance of freeing Anne Frank;

Admiring the willingness of Pauline Bonaparte to provide instructions to nations that are seeking to free Anne Frank;

Urging the nations and regions of the world to follow the example of Pauline Bonaparte and contact this esteemed nation to get involved in the international effort to free Anne Frank:

Hereby Commends Pauline Bonaparte.

I, of course, am deeply grateful that the Right Honorable Citizens for coauthoring this resolution. Their efforts are truly touching.

If anything, the attention brought to this proposal, quorum or nonquorum, pass or fail, will raise awareness of our efforts in Anne Frank and hopefully contribute to its eventual success.

While the nominee is certainly not suitable for a commendation, I hesitate to put a firm against vote, as the situation may change from the current one, and I prefer to make one correct vote than change one later.

Yeah, you don't hear about them becasue Commendations and etc are meant for people who affect the WHOLE of the site or a large portion of it. Helping once to liberate that one minor region that one time is far from helping even a small portion of a site. (I mean lets give Anne Frank as a region a serious look. it has 5 natives, three of which CTE, had a total of 2 RMB posts and no regional government.)

This seems to be nothing more than an ideological "OMG Nazi! We must help this person!" proposal than anything else. And for that reason I am strongly against this. And that is not even getting into the murky status of what comes down to basically regionmates commending each other. (In this instance its two defenders working on the same mission)

But honestly, this should even be abandoned by the people who started this effort. Anne Frank as gotten as much publicity as it can. Pauline is now delegate of that region and has ~90 endorsements and is secure in that position so a continued effort by that nation along with others is nothing but a disgusting effort trying to set a dangerous precedent.

The Salaxans the delegate of Spiritus a hardened defender region that is actually participating in the liberation of Anne Frank and BearNation the delegate of Gay another defender region who helped found the FRA.
