[Abandoned] Liberate Islam

Postby Nephmir » Thu Nov 13, 2014 8:40 pm

Liberate Islam

A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

Category: Liberation | Nominee: Islam | Proposed by: Helixical Orbit (Nephmir)

Description: The Security Council,

Recognizes Islam as a once peaceful and undisturbed region,

Notes that an Invasion was launched on the region by the combined might of The Black Riders, The Black Hawks, Unknown, Cimmeria, The Puppetmaster, Association of Imperialism, Red Armor, The Predators, Slavija, Ile de France, The Crimson Empire, Madrigal, and K9 Assault Force,

Appalled that these Raider organizations disguised themselves as natives of the region in order to go overlooked by this council,

Disgusted by the complete disregard for native rights, in which the original government and natives were exiled to Islamya, as the remainder of those resisting are oppressed and silenced,

Wishing to end this tyranny,

Hereby Liberates Islam

Really Neph? Butthurt? Stating all other involved regions besides the one that is made up of ex TEK members?

EDIT: The Crimson Empire link doesn't work either...seriously check this stuff beforehand

If you attempt to hide from this council, then you don't get the credit for raiding the region. It's that simple.

Shadow was the only "grudge" I held against Sicarius- and now that I've got him out I have nothing against an ex-TEK rebel group. Former events of Sicarian history has nothing to do with this.

It's "The Association of Imperialism" Neph, link is broken.

But yeah a cursory glance at the WFE shows all is well in Islam.

I have a feeling this will be removed right away. You have Anarchy as the nominee :P

Spend a little time on your drafts, or quit wasting peoples time. Also, Madrigal has no part in the raid as litterally all the forces from there are TCE's now due to the split.

That's an inaccurate claim.

Another inaccurate clause, as Sicarius was heavily involved with this operation.
Nephmir wrote:Appalled that these Raider organizations disguised themselves as natives of the region in order to go overlooked by this council,

Yet again, another clause that's inaccurate. The proposal was pulled because a co-author requested that it be pulled. Till now, there was nothing stopping the authors of the first draft from resubmitting their proposal.
Nephmir wrote:Disgusted by the complete disregard for native rights, in which the original government and natives were exiled to Islamya, as the remainder of those resisting are oppressed and silenced,

Nah.

As I showed above, this doesn't seem particularly tyrannical.

What is there to Liberate? We are open to all visitors, and maintain no regional password. In recent days alone, we've gained several new members. I was forced to suppress one for calling for the death of Shi'a Muslims, but I can unsurpress a post or two of his for proof if you wish.

I will not allow intolerance, for we must promote forgiveness.

Well of course, no matter what I do or say it'll always be wrong. :p

I wrote this in five minutes. I fixed the problems. Please don't remove it I just used my last 1200 stamps to send a campaign.

This is why the WA, and before that the UN, developed a system revolving around drafting resolutions, not just submitting them. Especially after you admit you only put 5 minutes into it.

Slow down and get things right if you are trying to turn yourself around with these proposals. The words are actually really important.

Yes actually, I'm talking to some good friends and browsing Imgur. But this is not a chat thread, so I fail to see how that applies?

I hope you are as well.

1200 stamps don't make a very effective monthly recruitment telegram, considering I bottle up 20000 a month and send them across the Pacific Ocean. :p

Now, I'd love to stay and answer questions from my adoring fans, but believe it or not I too am a mortal, and grow weary at the end of the day, for I too must work for a living. Parting is such sweet sorrow. And by sweet I mean bitter.

Feel free to drop me a telegram if needed and I'll respond as soon as possible.

Nephy you're costing me money - Gosh. Countering this if it happens to reach quorum. :lol2:

Very poorly researched proposal, as Ramaeus has shown.

The most egregious thing here is that you're trying to liberate a region, without including the region actually responsible for raiding it, but still listing everyone that supported their raid. At best that's very poor research, and at worst willful ignorance of the fact they exist because of a conflict of interest. (if you deny there's a beef between you and Sicarius then I'm prepared to open the storybook on it)

Then there's the poor research about why the first proposal was pulled, poor research claiming the target region was previously 'peaceful and undisturbed', and poor research about the regard shown to natives of the region.

Also, the point of having these threads is to be corrected on any errors you've made, so you have the best draft possible to present to the Security Council and its members. Posting this thread and then submitting the draft right away defeats the point of the exercise, really.. :meh:

You need to fix your inability to recognize your mistakes and learn from them. It may have gotten you bashed on the Gameplay side of NationStates, but that will be nothing compared to if you spend the same amount of time in the Security Council putting up certifiable crap like this.

I agree with sentiments of Syl and many other comments above...

It has already seen that the workshop of Nephmir can be considered as a genuine forge and origin of bad low quality WA drafts and proposals.
• The Black Riders Witch-Z-Queen of Cimmeria 'Cora' • Raider Extremist • War Diary
• 618+ active updates, 11195+ raided regions, 3567+ times raider delegate, 158+ updates in command, 2870+ triggered raids, 35+ occupations, 307+ banjected WA-nations •

"Cut them down!"

A liberation can do nothing now, password lock has been lifted but the raider's holding over the region is as strong as ever, Defenders either don't care or aren't strong enough to match the raiders. I was a longtime native of that region, before I was banjected by the rogue Delegate.

I can emphasize with a native's emotional attachment to his region. Though perhaps Islam isn't a great place to call home in the first place, given that it's founded by a known Nazi.
