Liberate The Knights Order of Camelot

A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

Category: Liberation | Nominee: The Knights Order of Camelot | Proposed by: Nephmir

Description: The World Assembly Security Council,

There once was a region by the name of The Knights Order of Camelot,
Who dreamt to become a proud name as they sought,
Though all of their efforts would be for vain,
As each and every nation they would not gain;

One day some nations saw them too,
And found it funny to do what they do,
They locked the region with a feeling of ruth,
Called themselves "Defenders", but we know the truth;

The nations within knew not what to do,
Entrapped they were by this interesting crew,
Forever alone in this forsaken wasteland,
Lucky enough to not have been banned;

Now the region is doomed to decay,
Each and every nation would pray,
"Oh please! Set us free!"
But not a sole owned the key;

Desperately, these nations turn,
To the international community with great concern,
"Don't let us fade away!
We once dreamed of a chance to stay!"

And now as the region calls with distress,
A Raider within begins to transgress,
"Oh, how easy this victory shall be!"
And the nations cry helplessly to be free.

Hereby Liberates The Knights Order of Camelot.

Yes, I plan on submitting this at some point.

Let me know if you see anything illegal.

Didn't someone pass a poem SC resolution before? :blink:

In case anyone is wondering, this region has no relationship to Camelot. I would support a liberation resolution if the natives want one -- if there even are any actual natives -- but hopefully something less silly.

AMOM tried one once. It's why we have, of all things, a ruling on the use of poetry within proposals: viewtopic.php?p=3755848#poetry

Without regards to the eccentric presentation, I would support this liberation as long as Camelot definitively advocates it. As states earlier I'm not entirely sure if the Knights Order even has a direct relation to the actual Camelot.

I submit a couple proposals with my main during a break between operations when my WA is free. I'll likely be submitting this early December, along with another Liberation draft I'm working on that I'll post in the forums as well upon completion.

I'm also working on another poem for when I focus on a couple repeals, but I won't be posting that one for awhile.

Obviously this is another SC abuse for a raid. Lenin once tried to do this with Versutian Federation.

Definitely one of the best SC proposals I've seen in a while. Or maybe it's just coz' I like poetry a lot?
Anyway, I don't generally support liberation proposals that are just meant to open up a region dying of its own accord. It doesn't feel like a proper use of the SC. But I think that's already been discussed a heck of a lot before, and shouldn't really be discussed in full here.

No, we are not a nation of cat people. We're all humans (and a few annoying gnomes) here. The cat's just there because our king is such a genius, he saw that it would be a good military strategy to have a distractingly cute flag, to blind our enemies to (our) victory!
Technological level: FUTURE TECH. We also have MAGICAL TECH, and a lot of the people here still play with MEDIEVAL TECH and PRESENT TECH. We're cool that way.

He actually didn't - They got me to destroy CAS; That came to light and Leningrad decided they didn't deserve the security.

Oh, damn.
:eyebrow:
Now I'm having to fight the temptation to create a proposal in poem form for the GA...
The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

Is the use of "who" legal when referring to a nation or nations?

Now just ornamental.

Yep. It used not to be a few years ago as it is a personal pronoun, but we decided that it was overly nitpicky and we were punishing bad grammar. Authors should avoid using "who" to refer to nations, but it's not against the rules to do so.
