[DRAFT] Condemn Hobbesistan

Postby British Grand Pacific » Sun Oct 26, 2014 9:59 pm

The Security Council,

Acknowledging the success of Security Council Resolution #161 to remove the inconsequential and fallacious commendation of Hobbesistan;

Noting that Hobbesistan's assistance in Khora directly preceded that region's collapse and subsequent frequent invasions by war-faring organizations;

Further noting that additional regions previously benefiting from direct association with Hobbesistan have faced multiple invasions and rendered their contributions to the world collectively negligible;

Understanding that Lazarus wisely determined Hobbesistan sufficient threat to warrant changes to the regional constitution in order to protect itself;

Considering contributions by Hobbesistan, such as RadioNS and the Lazarene Stock Exchange, have been deactivated, robbing the global community of their utilization;

Shocked that Hobbesistan allegedly took credit for developing Eluvatar's "approx" script;

Concludes Hobbesistan has made a negative impact upon the global community, sometimes under the guise of good intentions;

Hereby condemns Hobbesistan.

The only thing condemn-able about Hobbes is his spelling.

Now that would be a funny resolution. :lol:

I'm sure losing a prized adminship on a GCR forum is condemnation enough in this case.

Is a condemnation proposed on the same grounds of a prior repeal of a commendation legal?

It's not something that's come up before - so there's no prior ruling. I'd suggest the author consider adding new material to the proposal. If s/he doesn't, then it's something we'd need to discuss amongst the mod team.

Hobbes's association with Khora has nothing to do with it's downfall. It was caused by an unknown insider (glares at Tofu), and if anyone was responsible for keeping the region going for so long after everyone left, it was him.

As well, him losing adminship in Laz was not through any fault of his own, simply because we (you, I still consider myself a Lazarene) were switching forums.

Or are you going to cut the shit and admit it was a personal spat?

Do you have any evidence to back up these claims?

For Khora? We've got a list of people who we know didn't do it, which is me, Hobbes, Bodobol, Llamas and Onion. Tofu has dodged the question on several occasions and Luveria is inactive, so we've never tried questioning her.

As for his adminship in Laz, I do remember a few days before I left Lazarus, therefore about a week before the forum switch, Karp reported Hobbes to the PRL equivalent of the KGB, for some constitutional thingy I don't remember. It was also alleged that it was Hobbes making a comment about Imperialism that wasn't 'they should all die and burn in rd hell' which led to his removal.

Either way, I'm fairly certain the PRL regards his loss of adminship as a result of forumswitch, which was not explained. In which case, it was by no fault of Hobbes but rather Funk.

I fail to see how Lazarene foreign policy is of concern of TEP, our previous amicable relations had no such bearing on what internal policies we adopted.

Ikania, you know even less of the situations that transpired, porque no te callas?
