[Idea] Commend TRR Media Corporation

Postby Lexicor » Fri Aug 29, 2014 10:14 am

Category: Commendation | Proposed by: Lexicor

The Security Council,

Understanding the need for independent journalism as a means to disseminate information in an unbiased manner to prevent unnecessary conflicts,

Believing that TRR Media Corporation embodies the spirit of a free press, providing valuable information to all in an entertaining manner through the medium of "The Rejected Times",

Knowing that accurate reporting is key to efficiently allocating Security Council liberation efforts and defender forces,

Noting the variety of TRRMC readership across all ideologies from Raiders to Francoists an unparalleled accomplishment in the journalism business,

Clarifying that TRRMC is independent from The Rejected Realms and that a commendation of TRRMC is not a commendation of TRR,

Hereby commends the TRR Media Corporation;

Despite initial qualms about pursuing this idea I think it is safe to assume that TRRMC warrants a commendation. TRR being the first real and tangible in-game publication dedicated to regional events and NS History paved the way for many other regional papers, adding a new dimension entirely to the NS experience. No matter where you align in gameplay, no matter your political ideology [well if you hate free press then in kinda matters], the value of a free press (sic) cannot be understated, especially giving raiders exposure for their epic high danger exploits in founderless regions, but also for defenders to efficiently allocate there resources in liberation efforts. That's just... like... my opinion man. Feel free to disagree.

'TRR being the first real and tangible in-game publication dedicated to regional events and NS History "

I may be mistaken, but I think that statement is completely and utterly false.

But TRR doesn't deserve a commendation anymore than any other active news service does.

Perhaps I am mistaken, and if I am the mistake will be rectified.

TRRMC is the most informative, far reaching publication [outside of Max Barry] in this game. Lets give em a pat of encouragement for their hard-work. Show we care xD

You can show them you care by telling them so through TG or in their thread. Furhtermore, there is an insane amount of bias shown in all of their posts. As is the case with all news sources in NS.

Which leads back to my earlier point, that TRT deserves a commendation no more than any other news source.

Not to mention, the puppet nation of TRR Media Corp doesn't actually do the work. They have tons of terrible writers working tirelessly to corrupt the NS world with their vile propaganda. If anything, you should be commending the entire region of TRR, for making us question the essential good of humanity and the existence of a benevolent God. Questioning your beliefs is always good in the constant struggle to reaffirm them, after all.

I could bring up the previous attempts to get you committed... er.. I mean commended in this council, but I don't want a pie thrown in my face. I like their propaganda though, its entertaining.

GNN, was dedicated to spreading NS news even from the most backwater regions. That was well before TRT's time.

How can you claim accurate reporting if you dont pay attention to forums much?
And no they're not completely accurate when reporting on certain things. I got yelled at for pointing that out :p
