Seriously Doubting that any dolphin has ever been harmed by the governenment of Omigodtheykilledkenny,

Impressed that nation in a region of terrorists and war criminals Omigodtheykilledkenny has granted its citizens extensive civil rights, and political freedoms,

Further Impressed that Omigodtheykilledkenny has compiled and maintains an archive of World Assembly resolutions, and has authored groundbreaking resolutions such as: GAR #8 World Assembly Headquarters, and GAR #17 World Assembly General Fund, which have become the backbone of the World Assembly,

Understanding that Omigodtheykilledkenny, has actually done more positive for International Community than negative,

Thoroughly Convinced that Omigodtheykilledkenny has righted any and all wrongs committed against the World Assembly, and thus no longer deserves to be shunned,

Hereby Repeals SC Resolution #17 Condemn Omigodtheykilledkenny.

What is the point of this? Everything here basically praises the guy.

Sorry, I thought this was a resolution to condemn Kenny. Apologies.

"Ambassador, this is a resubmission of a resolution that already failed vote two years ago (http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?p=16004472#p16004472). You also failed to allow time for consideration of a draft and for WA members to realize this fact. The delegation of Celsuis opposes all such resubmissions as a waste of WA time and frivolous. We stand AGAINST."

That was exactly his intention. He said during the very last debate that if he just waited it out, everyone would forget and he could go at it again. We really all need to divest ourselves of the notion that he deserves the benefit of the doubt or that his intentions are good. He's only doing this to piss people off.

For the record, here's the author's campaign telegram:

Howdy %NATION%

You have heard of The Dolphin McNuggets Lovers of Omigodtheykilledkenny right? If not, look them up. They are a wacky bunch of character, but they also make the WA function. They were condemned many years ago as a joke resolution by The Clouds in my Coffee of Unibot III, and it is now time to remove that condemnation once and for all. Kenny has done literally nothing to earn it, and I believe that removing it will restore the credibility the WA so rightly deserves. Please approve our repeal, and vote for it?

[link]

...it's basically a watered-down version of this:

Terravoss wrote:Even if this fails, and it looks like it probably will, I will just keep coming after that badge over and over Kenny. You hate the "Festering Snakepit", and I despise it, so I have no problems wasting the councils time in vote after vote over your undeserved badge. Eventually I will present an argument so profound, that not even a telegram campaign will keep you from losing that badge, and thus STEP ONE of "The Glorious Crusade of Justice" to return some sensibility back to this heap of dung known as the Security Council will be complete.

Make sure that quote is seared into your memory as the inevitable floor debate approaches, folks. He wants to waste our time -- and the best way to waste it is to bring something to vote only to shoot it down! Image

Just like all those Condemn NAZI EUROPE repeals!

I am opposed because the author gave no reasoning other than "The resolution should not stand because it should not stand."

I would like to be convinced, but it seems like calls for that have been met with expletives and harshness.

Wad Ari Alaz, the distinguished Ambassador from Wrapper, continues to sit on the floor, blanket in hand, thumb stuck firmly in his mouth. It's no wonder that this once shining example of diplomacy has been reduced to a shimmering puddle of goo, after his trip to the Kennyite nation was marred by the worst dolphin massacre in recorded history. His trusty assistant, Wad Ahume Orliss-Dorcke, tugs gently on the blanket, but is met with just enough resistance. "Time to cast our vote," he whispers, but the ambassador slowly shakes his head. Wad Ahume sighs, and registers the AGAINST vote himself. He then sits down next to the ambassador and gently rubs his shoulders -- in an innocent and totally non-sexual way, of course -- and then pats him on the back. He helps Ari to his feet, and slowly walks him out of the chamber. Fucking Kennyites, Wad Ahume says to himself, they ought to be condemned twice for these atrocities.

I've never noticed before, but I wonder if Unibot timed this so it'd be SC17 on purpose (since Kenny wrote GA17). Seems possible it is a coincidence but Uni did have a liking for such things. I wouldn't be surprised.

Mm, Bitely telegrams. It's good to know that the "WA elites" haven't disappeared yet.

I won't be voting on this repeal. Considering that the original resolution was passed in 2010, I fail to see the relevance of this repeal in comparison to the general idea of the Security Council.

At least nine times. And, not even including all the illegal ones I could find, I'm still not sure I found them all.

Now do we really want to go down this road again? Kenny will fight tooth and nail to keep the condemnation. He will certainly run a TG campaign, and I'm sure we'll all be subjected to some lengthy in-character performance, rife with dolphin killing, assassination attempts, and all around nasty stuff just to confirm that, yes, he is indeed condemn-worthy....

Ummm....

Come to think of it, that might be fun....

I take it that this current repeal is nothing more but a running gag here, nice to know that little fact.

Nice to know I wasn't the only to get his TG and it looks like the "WA elites' is still a thing. Poor fool doesn't realize that it is the Illuminati that have real control over the WA and that the elites that he raves about are nothing more but puppets used by the true masters of the WA.

I can't believe this actually got to quorum for the vote to be taken

If Kenny wants to be condemned, then let him stay condemned. If he wants it to be repealed then I expect him to request the repeal himself.

Besides, dolphin killing isn't very cool.

OOC: No; the condemnation mentions that one of Kenny's "creative solutions" was to sue abortionists for medical malpractice.

IN A.D. 2015

There had been nearly 3,000 attempts at repealing Condemn Omigodtheykilledkenny to be introduced at the Security Council already, and Susa had managed to hold the chamber hostage virtually every single time, with little success. But as repeal proponents triumphantly brought Terravoss' repeal to vote again, they failed to realize that this time Susa had access to a Death Star.

On the space station's command bridge, the "captain" surveyed the damage from the WSA light show with some satisfaction, as a new halo of debris from every WA ship in every country, region, dimension and reality now orbited the planet over WAHQ. "Heh, that was fun," he pronounced. "Now we turn our rage on the World Assembly Security Council! Reposition the laser cannon."

Presently, Captain Chiang appeared on the bridge. "No, Susa, the fun is over. It's time to go home."

For a moment the "ambassador" regarded his insistent probation officer. "Who is this woman?!" he demanded angrily.

Chiang rolled her eyes as she reached for the coiled whip hanging from her belt.

But Susa was not paying any attention. "Hail the Security Council HQ," he commanded.

The captain sighed. "Oh, for God's sake, Susa. You can't hail the Security Council; it's not a ship -- wher...wha...What in God's name are you doing?!?"

An assistant had appeared behind the "captain's" chair to apply a spiked green wig over his hair, and an irregular chrome patch on his face. A flowing violet robe was then draped over his shoulders for effect.

...

...

As the debate was underway in the vast chamber of SC headquarters. The presiding officer received an alert of an incoming video conference from the Death Star. "Main screen turn on," she ordered, as the lights in the chamber dimmed and a huge projection screen lowered over the dais.

"It's you !!"

Image

HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN !!

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.

YOU ARE ON THE WAY TO DESTRUCTION.

YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME.

HA HA HA HA ....

The video feed cut off abruptly, but it was no matter. Red lights began flashing with urgency throughout the chamber and an earsplitting alarm blared angrily everywhere in the building. Newer ambassadors frantically leaped from their seats and raced for the exits, while a few veterans remained behind at their desks, wondering which drinks (and/or drugs) they should take with them before heading outside to find a good place to view the light show.

...

Back on the bridge of the Death Star, Susa had fallen out of his chair and was now rolling on the floor in hysterical laughter.

Through it all, Captain Chiang just sat there dully, watching the ambassador. "Take off every zig. Move zig. For the great justice," she calmly uttered.

Since Omigodtheykilledkenny is active in just about every WA proposal it would be fair to assume he is far from done with the WA.
For: Free thought, 2 state solution for Israel, democracy, playing the game.
