The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the interest of the Free Republic to establish an embassy exchange to represent itself abroad and to strengthen diplomacy with all peoples and nations of the world. Those interested in establishing embassies within the Free Republic are to fill out the application form below and formally send them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
There are also rules pertaining to any potential embassies which we do wish for interested parties to be aware of:
1- All ambassadors (or equivalent position), their families, and consuls will be granted diplomatic immunity, while embassy staff will be not. For major crimes any persons bearing diplomatic immunity will be immediately declared persona non grata and extradited to their home countries for trial. Failure to put any deported persons on trial for their crimes will result in the closure of the embassy and detention of all other personnel.
2- All embassies have a limit total of one hundred persons. Security staff are not to exceed thirty in number. Security staff are the only personnel which may bear arms, and security staff are not permitted to carry explosive weaponry or firearms of 12.7mm caliber or greater. Crime is relatively unknown in the Free Republic and excessive weaponry is discouraged.
3- All embassies enjoy extraterritorial status and are free from disturbances from local law and authorities. However, it is not permitted to give refuge to suspects attempting to escape arrest and all embassies are required to hand over any Erusean nationals which are on the premises.
4- Please keep in mind that the Free Republic has a moderate climate to the south and tundra to the north. Any animals and flora brought to the embassy should be able to withstand freezing temperatures, if not then for their well being they should be left in their home country.
5- Vehicular transportation will be provided free of charge for the embassy, but all applicants are welcome to provide their own. Helicopter transportation will not be provided and if any nation wishes such for their ambassador they must provide their own helicopter, which must also be certified the Ministry of Aerial Transportation for safety. Military ground vehicles (armored personnel carriers, Humvee-esq vehicles, etc) are strictly forbidden.
6- All embassies may be freely chosen in any location to their liking if need be, and construction or modifications may be done after certification by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
