Etymology

Selarian is the demonym of Selarus, a major Under-state of the SFLC. Selarus was and still is the native people's name of their lands. The words Enzo Turga are derived from the senator, president, and king, Enzo Turga. He was the man who proposed the unification of Turga's major nations after they were victorious in the Cefaran War. Him and his idea became so wildly popular, he was made president of the new unified country. Then, he became so popular he was made de facto leader, king, and the nation was named after him.

Holdings

Core Systems

Selarus Prime

Selarus Prime is the most populated, wealthiest, and overall best in terms of living conditions out of Turga's colonies. The capital of the SFLC and military base of operations, Selarus Prime's location is kept hidden from the rest of the galaxy for obvious reasons.

Main Industry: Electronics
Total Population: 9.2 billion
Military Presence: 100 ships

Tyre
Tyre is the crown jewel of the Selarian Federation in the Milky Way. Tyre is a world much like Earth, with huge ecological diversity. Because of its huge population, it enjoy many environmental laws making it so beautiful. Along with it's natural beauty, Tyre also is home of several of the largest cities in the SFLC, some buildings reaching miles high. It also has a very low poverty and crime rates, making it a center of culture.

Type: Temperate world
Radius: 6479 kilometres
Orbital Period: 398 days (galactic standard)
Population: 9.2 billion
Atmosphere: Temperate/Life-sustaining
Moons: Tyre II, Radi

Baalbek
Baalbek is a very small planet with no atmosphere. Although some have suggested to terraform it, the government won't allow it because of it's strategic military importance. The only thing on it are several military bases, most of which are underground.

Type: Uninhabitable
Radius: 2023 kilometres
Orbital Period: 645 days (galactic standard)
Population: Military only (classified)
Atmosphere: N/a
Moons: Kencha

Biophane
Biophane is essentially the "Fertile Crescent" off the Turgan colonies. Anything organic and natural that can be thought of can be found in Biophane. Although this systems is a center of agriculture and fine foods, it's also known for its brutal practices of mutating criminals geneticly so they can be more effective at their forced labor.

Main Industry: Agriculture
Total Population: 3.7 billion
Military Presence: 50 ships

Biopolis
Biopolis is the main planet of Biophane. Biopolis is known it's rolling plains and good farming conditions. Unlike many hospitable planets, Biopolis's oceans are completely made of fresh water, an oddity that adds more to it's great agricultural conditions.

Type: Temperate Plain World
Radius: 6449 kilometres
Orbital Period: 359 (galactic standard)
Population: 2.6 billion
Atmosphere: Temperate/Life Sustaining
Moons: N/a

Biocron
Biocron has a similar atmosphere to Biopolis, only Biocron is dominated by temperate forests instead of plains like it's sister planet. Lumber is a major industry on Biocron, although ores and oil are also present. Biocron is nowhere near as fertile as Biopolis in terms of crops, but has a plethora of forest wildlife, something that Biopolis could never have with it's treeless plains.

Type: Temperate Forest World
Radius: 6478 kilometres
Orbital Period: 366 (galactic standard)
Population: 1.1 billion
Atmosphere: Temperate/Life Sustaining
Moons: Unaro, Unaja

Junrik
Junrik is essentially the opposite of Biophane. Where Biophane is known for its green organic practices, Junrik is known for its factory production of things like ships, weapons, and everyday appliances. Junrik is a hub for Seperatist and illegal activities, although not as much as Selarus Delta.

Main Industry: Factory Work/Underground Illegal Trade
Total Population: 2.2 billion
Military Presence: 50 ships

Sidon
Sidon is the only populated planet in Junrik. Sidon is a busling world of cities and factories known for its corporate slave lower class and planetary smog. It was once much like Earth, until it was settled by Selarus Prime and became a major factory planet. Sidon still has some unpoluted areas left, and for that it's not seen as a total cess pool.

Type: Varying
Radius: 5091 kilometres
Orbital Period: 360 (galactic standard)
Population: 2.2 billion
Atmosphere: Varying/Life Sustaining
Moons: Siro, Herge, Unayo

Minor Planets
Tutonvar
Yuyuk
Weradon

Romula
Romula was the capital of the Outer Earthan Colonies until it fled Earth's tyranny and joined Turga. Because of this, Romula celebrates many Earthan customs and cultures like monotheistic religions and fast food.

Main Industry: Varies
Total Population: 2.4 billion
Military Presence: 25 ships

Rome
Rome is an environmentally stunning world, with very built up cities and amazing nature preserves. The main planet in the Romulan system, Rome is the center of Earthan culture in the SFLC. Rome is much like a lesser populated version of Tyre, only with Earthan culture in the mix.

Type: Varying
Radius: 6401 kilometres
Orbital Period: 362 (galactic standard)
Population: 2.1 billion
Atmosphere: Varying/Life Sustaining
Moons: Sardinia

Venice
Venice is an interesting planet. Once a rocky wasteland, this planet had been frankenstined into a somewhat nice place. Terraforming in some parts of the planet has given them a nice temperate biome, while the remainder is still a desolate desert.

Type: Temperate, Desert
Radius: 6229 kilometres
Orbital Period: 334 (galactic standard)
Population: 300 million
Atmosphere: Temperate/Life Sustaining
Moons: Sicily, Lombardy

Minor Planets
Genoa
Milan
Bologna
Naples

Outer Systems

Selarus Delta
Selarues Delta, also known as the "Shit Hole" around other systems, is the slime pit of the Selarian Federation. Selarus Delta is a lawless system with very little strategic importance. Not even naval vessels enjoy patrolling this system.

Main Industry: Oil/Underground illegal trade
Total Population: 1.8 billion
Military Presence: N/a

Ako
Ako is the scum of the Federation. The only cities on Ako are slum cities, sprawling all over the once beautiful planet. Now a wasteland, large corporations have taken advantage of the planet for its oil and diamonds. Ako harbors some of the most dangerous men in all of the SFLC.

Type: Tropical world (Ecosystems nearly completely destroyed)
Radius: 5790 kilometres
Orbital Period: 345 days (galactic standard)
Population: 1.8 billion
Atmosphere: Tropical/Life Sustaining
Moons: Gorachi, Tregera, Peplo

Minor Planets
Ergi
Huf
Weyil

Alexandria
Alexandria is another former Earthan colony. Alexandria is the main trade outpost between Turga and the remainder of the MWG. Being the most developed of the few Turgan systems made public to the MWG, Alexandria is busseling with commercial and public traffic.

Main Industry: Trade
Total Population: 1 billion
Military Presence: 100 ships

Races

Humans

Humans make up nearly 50% of the SFLC's population. The main origins of SFLC humans are Earth and Selarus, although they may also have come from different parts of Turga before the Great War. Humans sometimes see themselves as racially superior towards Xenos, but this has never really evolved past a small minority. There are three major varieties of humans in the Selarian Federation; the Terrans, the Tu'kra, and the Adeledians. Terrans are the average and most widely found humans. Tu'kra are only found on Thebes and have elongated heads from a ritual process that occurs when they're babies. Geneticly, they're the same as Terrans but are seen as savages by Terrans because of their primitive technology and rituals. Adeledians are only found on Adeledia in the Syracues System and have a hightened immune system from the smog and pollution found on their planet.

Brawns

Properly known as Brachine, they are the most populace non-human species in the SFLC. Originating from the Turgan Core Galaxy, many of their kind migrated to colonies such as the SFLC like so many other alien species. Brawns are generally about 8 to 9 feet tall with brown hair. They resemble large apes. Brawns have a reputation for short tempers and brute strength.

Bugs

Properly known as the Je Nirians, Bugs are also a very populace race in the SFLC. They also originate from the Turgan Core Galaxy, migrating here before the Great War. Bugs are human-sized insectoid creatures with wings and an exoskeleton. They poses 2 legs, 2 main arms, and a pair of 2 smaller arms below their main arms, now useless. Originally, Bugs were a hive species living in huge underground catacombs taking orders thoughtlessly from their queen, Je Nir. As they developed, Bugs have become more independent and only revere their queen as a figure head.

Techs

Properly as Tequinit, Techs are a common site in the SFLC. Originating from the Turgan Core Galaxy, Techs migrated here before the Great War as well. Techs are physically smaller and weaker than humans, but poses an advanced brain with much better memory and thinking power than humans'. They're general shape is like humans, only they have pale, almost slimy skin with no hair and a larger head. Techs are excellent with electronics and are coveted for their logic and technology.

Snorks

Properly known as Nars, they are common in the SFLC. Originating from a colonised galaxy in another universe, Snorks migrated here before the Great War. Snorks have the same build as humans and are seen as very closely related to them. Snorks resemble elephants with large ears, tusks, and a trunk, but are, as previously mentioned, the same size as humans. They stand on two legs like humans and have fingers and toes with opposable thumbs. Snorks are usually seen in security and VIP protection jobs when in the military because they're well known for their devotion.

Goliaths

Properly Golganiths, Goliaths aren't very common in SFLC compared to Brawns or Bugs, but are still fairly prominant. Originating from the Turgan Core Galaxy, Goliaths migrated here before the Great War. Goliaths are huge creatures, averaging around 30 feet tall. They resemble some sort of mix between a rhino and a human. Standing like a human, they have leathery greyish green skin with a horn on their head like a rhino. Goliaths aren't the most tech savy species, prefering blunt metal clubs over their artillery-sized guns on the battlefield when possible.

Knights

Properly Die Leute von Mu, Knights are a primitive race rarely found off of their homeworld of Mu in the Beta Quadrant.Their home system, Thuringia, was recently discovered by the Selarians and has a tech level equal to around the Middle Ages on Earth. Knights are huge golem-like creatures. They range around 11-12 feet tall and have a very hard rock-like exoskeleton, making them perfect for hand-to-hand combat.

Turgan Home Species

Turgans are a rare site in the colonies like the SFLC. Turgans are one of the fouunding races, along with the Brawns, and obviously originate from Turga in the Turgan Core Galaxy. Turgans were once human, but have since evolved into a new species. They're pale white with hair only remaining on their head, like the marble statues of ancient Greece. Turgans as a species possess telekinesis, something rare. Almost any memeber of any species can learn telekinetic powers, but Turgans stand as one of the handful of races that gain them automaticly from childhood. Turgans are usually calm, surpressed beings who can easily take control of any situation.

Vanguards

Properly Xen V'klehnto, Vanguards are a mysical species. Once an ancient empire more powerful than one can imagine, an empire of Vanguards strechted across the multiverse, giving life and taking it where they pleased. Then, they mysteriously disappeared. It's theorized that as a species they ascended to the next plain of existence through greater knowledge. A handful of them were either unable or unwilling to do it and live among Turgans, usually in poorer, less educated places as to not be recognized. The only Vanguard to make his presence known publicly, the Librarian, has neglected to relenquish his vast knowledge of superior technologies to Turga. Vanguards are worshiped by many as gods because of their near super-human abilities in telekinesis and immortally huge lifespans, spanning hundreds of thousands of years.

History

Turgan History

Recorded history from Turgan can be split into two main sections; Ancient Turgan History (ATH) and Modern Turgan History (MTH). ATH is everything that occured before the Turgan Revolution.

Ancient Turgan History

On the planet Turga, there was originally two major alliances of nations; the Faunstatian Federation and the Fetur League. The Faunstatian Federation consisted of Faunstatia, Teke, Khalskar, and Arlem. They were all peaceful nations, but were forced into war. The Fetur League consisted mainly of Cefar, North Falsk, and Qeq. Aeon, Favre, and many small puppet nations were also forced into the League. They were all imperialists and wanted to destroy the Faunstatian Federation. The Fetur League eventually pushed the Faunstatian Federation into war and the two superpowers clashed swords in what's known as the Cefaran War. The war lasted 167 years, ending with the Faunstatian Federation winning. Unfortunatly, Arlem was completely destroyed with almost all of its major cities burned. The remaining 3 nations, Faunstatia, Teke, and Khalskar, dominated the continent for thousands of years.

It's the age of muskets and the 3 nations have now become so close over several thousand years, that they form into one nation. It's named after the Faunstatian politician who suggested the idea, Senator Enzo Turga. The nation begins as a republic under President Enzo Turga. Enzo, however, was so liked that he was pronounced King of the new nation.

Turgan Revolution

King Enzo the Great died at the age of 93 after ruling for 51 years. His son, Herald the Honorable took the throne at 64. King Herald eventually fell ill and died at age 66. His wife, Queen Cristina, contracted the same sickness from him and died several weeks later. His mentally disturbed son, Cornelius the Terrible takes the throne at 34. Cornelius rules brutally without mercy. A revolution begins, led by Cornelius's younger brother, Francisco the Courageous, and a noble from Teke, Nire Moar. After 5 years, the revolution is over. Princess Maria, Cornelius's and Francisco's sister, died accidently during a riot. In the last battle for the capital, Cornelius and Francisco killed each other. The only major leader left is Nire Moar. He reorganized the government as a democracy, he himself being elected the first high chancellor of the nation.

Modern Turgan History

The Turgans originate from a different universe all together. Thousands of years before space exploration was even a thought on Earth, the Turgans were just begining to explore their galaxy with new warp drive technology. Not soon after, they met another emerging civilization, the Brawns. Both fought in a huge war over ancient artifacts left by the Vanguards that both nations saw as holy. Eventually, they both realized they had a common goal; to find ancient advanced Vanguardian technology to further their own technology. They united under the Treaty of Nisroy. Soon, they would spread their influence everywhere possible.

One by one, other space-faring nations fell either by choice or by force. Eventually, the alliance of nations gained the technology to travel to different galaxies and then different universes all together. The Imperial Multiverse Republic of Enzo Turga, or IMRET, began colonizing and conquering other galaxies, one of which was the MWG. By the time Turga made it to the MWG, it was at it's highest point, stretched thin militarily. Selarus, Junrik, and Biophane were annexed first in the MWG. They became the founding members of the SFLC.

At this time, Turga was clashing with several other powerful nations in another galaxy and the colonies were left underarmed. This just as Selarus and Earth got into a dispute of system ownership. A war broke out, ending in Earth's surrender of the majority of their colonies including Romula. Years past and Turga became less and less stable until the Great War broke out between the rebel Seperatists and the loyal Patriots. This was when the SFLC lost contact with Turga. Eventually two more systems, Thuringia and Syracues were claimed by the SFLC. Both are inhabited by primitive sentient beings.

Selarian History

By the 18th century in Earth time, the Selarians were a somewhat advanced space civilization united under a single global government. Along with their colonies they inhabited 4 systems; Selarus Prime, Selarus Delta, Junrik, and Biophane. At the begining of the century, a revolution broke out in which Junrik revolted against Selarus. They were victorious and gained independence. 10 years later, Biophane was granted independence. In the 30's, the Turgans discovered the MWG and along with it, Selarus. Facing superior numbers and technology, Selarus surrendered to Turga as a colony. Not soon after, Biophane and Junrik surrendered.

Reoccuring Characters, Companies, Misc.

Characters

Prefect Adam Kerg
Adam Kerg, a Prefect in the Turgan Navy, has been involved in several past operations and probably will be for awhile. He's a new prefect, but he definitly isn't considered to be among the veterans. Adam is, however, considered an ace prefect. Not many people with his amount of experience can manuever a group of ships with his expertise. Under his command, Adam has the 4th Task Group, which includes a Lion Class Battleship, 4 Hammer Class Attack Frigates, 2 Charger Class Cruisers, 2 Firefly Class Destroyers, and 1 Jaguar Class Corvette. The battleship, his flagship, is the Sublime Transcendence.

Adam's first major conflict outside of the SFLC was as a Ship Master in the Zeta Vontarnis Space Station Conflict, where he attempted to aid in a territorial dispute between two stellar nations. He was eventually called back to base as command had lost interest. Later, he aided in a putting down of Seperatist activity, earning him a promotion to Prefect. As a Prefect, he's currently involved in a piracy incident with the Alversians and the Penstar Alignment.

Companies

Turga Tech
Turga Tech is the largest company in the SFLC. They supply a huge majority of the Turgan Military's weapons, vehicles, and ships, as well as most paramilitary and mercenary forces. They also have a private military force made of the droids they manufacture, however it has yet to engage in any real conflict.
